Not too late to buy some more.  Still really cheap!

Calm before the storm... i love it!!  Roll Eyes
Let it be calm another week. Next payday is next week Friday Smiley

Now from the largest wallet, it shows Bittrex has around 2.83% (157k) while Mintpal is not listed I presumed....   So, there are like probably around only 300-400k at most out there for trading at this moment?   That's pretty crazy.   People can manipulate the price down to whatever level they want basically because smart money aren't selling and just not enough new money is flowing in to push it upward skyhigh.   When ITO details is out, I wonder what the action will be to fight for those few coins left out there.
83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XC][XCurrency] Decentralised Trustless Privacy Platform / Encrypted XChat / Pos on: October 13, 2014, 01:19:29 AM

I had 900XC on Mintpal and it has just vanished  Angry

No withdrawal or anything in the history, the funds are just GONE!!

I have been warning people before to pull their coins from Mintpal....   Embarrassed

the 12,000 XC sell wall on cryptsy was just eaten :-)

who was it?

When people throw XC out there in such a huge chunk and at such ridiculously low price, it will get eaten... alive.

innovation doesn't count in the crypto world

The opinions of women don't count in the real world.
....particularly if they work at microsoft and ask for a raise.

Next thing you know, they will be saying you are "asking for it"...

I don't know what the pessimistic people are thinking...  BTC was near 700 bucks back then.  Now, BTC is below 400 bucks.   XC actually holding at above 120k+ Satoshi means that if you would have bought into XC back then, you would have prevented the lost of nearly 50% of your btc value.

Just think about that for a minute.  Stop whining about how "horrible" the price is and look at the whole picture....

Man do I miss the old Mintpal!

Volume's been looking pretty nice on Bittrex the last day or so though.

Clicking on buy/sell orders and not having the boxes automatically filled out for you is unforgivable....  That is such a basic user experience function.

The mobile wallet is about to be unleashed and whales just realized it?  Wink

Mobile is coming right after the group xchat is finished...

but lets not forget how XC's mixing technology is the most advanced in the marketplace to-date - I'd like to see any other coin compare to this

https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fs8.postimg.org%2Fces4itd5h%2FXC_anon_spaghetti.png&t=544&c=q2q75gYW2DamXw

It's a given that the XC anon tech is the best in the industry now.   No bloat and untraceable.   Not to mention no forking every RC release. Wink

I think the mobile wallet should have XChat included, but I also think you should be able to download XChat separate from the wallet so that people who don't want the wallet can still be anonymous on the Internet.

Why not keep the wallet section anyway. people dont have to use it, but one day it might come in handy for them and they might go and buy some XC.  Wink

Some people might not want it for some reason and I think XC should respect that.

But that is just my opinion.

True some people might want that, but the wallet function isn't something that is too much of an inconvenience, Its not like download this....but it also has his bad thing but just ignore that, no it's download this for completely anon chat, also you can use it for complete anon currency transfer also, and having it doesn't really change anything

I think if you want XC to be able get on the iOS platform, you might want to separate it out first.    Unless appstore approves the combined app too....   XChat can just be like a Firechat type separate app on launch to get some brand recognition.
91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who needs anon coins? on: October 04, 2014, 12:50:50 PM
With the logic that if I don't need or use it then why does it exist... no wonder Bitcoin itself isn't widespread yet.

Normal people are saying why do they need bitcoin when they only use cash and credit cards....

we need to step up the game I have a feeling that rev 2.5 and rev 3 will not be too far from each other as Dan is already working on group chat that should have been a Rev3 release.

After the code reviews I believe xc will gain the crown of 1st crypto innovator as it should be.

I am not even concerned about any short term pricing of XC anymore.
...
Yes, same here, all price info i have atm comes from remarks in this thread so i can gueass a range but thats about it. Used to run multiple actual price screens Smiley But you are stretching it a bit with the shell bug. Was btw shocking to read some guy lost 750BTC over it.

The shellshock exploitation is not stretching it as much as the fud that XC has to endure from some other coin shills....  Its definitely within the realm of being exploited by NSA like the heart bleed bug.

NSA knew about the heart bleed bug for years and have used it.   How many years did the NSA knew about the shellshock bug this time?   How many Linux based machine has been infected out there now?  How many masternode based mixers?

I laugh in their general direction.

As soon as XC integrates VOIP with Video, "Game over man, game over."

And if "VOIP with Video" is deemed a useful and desired feature that absolutely for some reason has to be implemented within a crypto coin, is there a reason Darkcoin couldn't implement it (or to follow the suit of XC, add it to their roadmap)?

If you really need that feature now, these are just the couple of the first google hits I got - why would someone go through the trouble of buying coins so they can make VOIP calls when they can use already existing free software?

You know in this world... it's not always about who's first right?   Apple don't necessarily come out with the innovation, but they innovate so that it's "easy and acccessible".  You don't even have to be best, just sufficient.

Case in point.  NFC has been on Android phone forever, so what?   Apple comes out and bring the big gun, hooks users up to 220k merchants.   (Accessible).

No private VOIP has been really accessible so far.   The trophy is still waiting to be claimed.

Also, put it this way.  XC is not affected by the Bash shell bug.

I wonder how many of those coins that have centralized masternode sitting on those Amazon EC2 center have already been infected by NSA... hmmm makes you wonder doesn't it?    Roll Eyes

I am not even concerned about any short term pricing of XC anymore.  Seriously, look at the roadmap for XC... that's just the surface of it.  Imagine how much more Dan has in store as a surprise for us.   Just accumulate now while it's low.   Don't worry about the long term.   Go look around and try to find another with such an awesome roadmap.

We are not talking fly by night unknown coders with their "future plans" of other coins.   Dan has delivered before not just in crypto, but in real life professional situations.   Look at the blockchain map of our anon solution that KimmyF has charted for us.   Is there really anything to worry about?

Just don't sweat the short term.

ps.  XC have not fork even once unlike that coin that fork every RC release...

I Have to agree Smiley Thak you;)

I left out some words Wink

from the eyes of a bully believe me there is nothing more fun than bullying XC because of our community code. Assholes like that look for victims not opponents and we are way to fucking nice with this assholes and let them pull us into their unwinnable arguments while they sit  there laughing their asses of.

I hope this atlas review comes asap and is positiv. would shut this fuckers up for good.

I agree the community code is difficult to stick to when the same few assholes come round again and again, but it does seem to work - they kind of drift away (for therapy or
something) when no-one rises to the bait.

The saying of "Don't feed the troll" comes to mind.

Honestly my reasoning for commenting on the reddit article is because I legitimately get irritated when people try to hype closed source privacy / money software in this space.

I felt the same about darkcoin.  I'm butthurt by the way your PR team dealt with, or tried to deal with the Jasinlee debacle.  But most of my points I would have made towards the hype going towards darkcoin six months ago.  Now that it's opensourced I have much less of a problem with it.

Honestly, I legitimately get irritated when dumbasses lose money and blames other people for their problem because they didn't do their due diligence.

This still blows my mind everytime I see it.

Can you imagine when we have a lot more xmixers running as well...

Yes... if I squint my eyes and tilt my head slightly to the left I can discern the letters N O B L O A T.

Wink
I can understand where this idea comes from but complexity !== Bloat.
For those interested, moved the site into the Azure cloud a couple of days ago & am finalizing stuff.

Exactly... an extra input/out vs a whole new transaction saves a lot of bytes from the blockchain.   This isn't the Monero thread...

ps.  Can't wait to try your explorer.   Did you use a graphing library out there or did you code your own?  I just didn't have time to finish mine yet... Sad
