Here is how I look at it...

Whatsapp - sold to Facebook for 19 Billion
Skype - sold to Microsoft for 8.5 Billion
Snapchat - valued at 10 Billion
Akamai (to an extent related due to content delivery) - valued at 10.82 Billion
XC - current marketcap today 3.46 Million

No brainer to go all in??!?!

I WAS RIGHT!

I own XC, SO I OWN SHARES? Without having to SELL XC?

Yeah, "jizzed"is not a word a top++ holder of a great future company might be allowed to use, but I just totally did it.

No You own the right to Buy XC shares if you OWN XCs 10 XC will give you the right to buy 1 share of the company....still fuking HUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE this will drive XC price to the star as well as people that wants to buy shares they will need to buy XC First.

Fuking Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesssssssssssssss
Are you sure? Owners of other coins can buy shares

The best thing about this is that people are unlikely to want to buy shares with other currencies. If they own XC, they XC plus a share.

Therefore: buy XC!

Thank you so much for this. Let me rephrase: If I have 10XC, I will prove my wallet(s) contains 10XC, and I will be automatically given 1 share, without need to spend anything?

Yup.

I knew holding all my XC all this time was a good decision!

Hi all

Our privacy technology is solidifying, Xmixers are here, and XChat is rock solid.

As such, XC has laid the foundation for its web 3.0 and blockchain 2.0 plans.

On Tuesday we will make a major announcement pertaining to the security of this foundation.

You can safely expect a lot of attention to result from this.

Updated Wallet REV2 RC7

v2.49_RC7

* Bug fix for fee payment -needs validation/testing-
* Decreased Transaction Processing time to 30seconds
* Decreased Transaction timeout to 15 seconds

http://downloads.xc-official.com/release/windows/XCurrency_2.49_RC7.exe

RC6 and RC7 are not compatible for private transactions

Update your XMIXER

http://downloads.xc-official.com/release/windows/XCurrency-XMIXER-Installer_2.49_RC7.exe

constant updates and releases on such an important revision, thanx to dan for stabilising the rev, and community members for testing such a crucial piece of software!

Yes testing is critical... Especially when dealing with cutting edge decentralized ad-hoc mesh protocols...

speaking of testing.. can anybody take a guess at the sender here?

1XC To XWGuqHzVezRrTmcDi1YbgypengUDPwYxi3

who sent it?

There's no way in the world you can tell because it really could be from any one of of the inputs.   Even if they guessed... there really is no hard "proof" that it's really true with undeniable plausibility.    Wink

The floating coins on Mintpal is down to 9.56%!

People are either staking or becoming xmixer with their coins!   Grin

guys, i re-downloaded, restarted the xc mac wallet. why is it still stuck at block 124722 Sad any help on this one?

I had to do the same today too on a new wallet.   It took me a few times of restarting too.   It was also crashing out a too, but I got it all downloaded after a while.   Did you try restarting the wallet?

Seriously, go look for yourself. I'm actually going to buy 5 BTC of XC so give me a break. I support XC.

Your idea of "massive"...   is kinda small...

For people that have ISP that also gave you a router and you are also using your own, you might need to make the ISP router into bridge mode.   Otherwise, you will be in doubt NAT which will make your port not opened to the world.

You might need to call your ISP to turn it into bridge mode especially if you are Comcast in the states.

Hey we're almost on page 1300.

Many new buyers would do that to the thread. Wink

Good stuff!   You can add the address to it this weekend.  Wink

Hey,
have anyone an Idea,....I nerver get more than 8 connections to network. (every time exactly 8 Connections ! )
My Client is running continiously a few days.

It it possible that my slow Internet connection is the Problem ?    (Download 6MBit/s -  Upload 1MBit/s)

Or is the number ob connection not interesting for forging results?

-sorry for my english  Roll Eyes

Staking is like winning the lottery, it is random but works. If you are staking it can take up to 30 days to see any newly staked coins, took me about 10 days to see results. As long as your coins are staking it will work out to 3.33% annually.

Also the windows client can default to 8 Connections, you can use -maxconnections=64 to increase the amount to 64 [in this case]

Dan

Dan where do you need to put -maxconnections=64 in the conf file?

thx

When using the CONF file, use "maxconnections=64" (append it)

If you download the XMIXER installer it automatically add's it to the shortcut

http://downloads.xc-official.com/testing/XCurrency-XMIXER-Installer_2.49_RC3_XMixer_Installer.exe

Dan

cool thx! Cmon People lets roll with those private transactions let's test those Mixers!

Dan is there a maximum amount of anon transactions that can be made for the moment?

No maximum

Is it still single input only or has that limit been lifted too?

For RC3 no, that limit is still there but I expect that to be resolved in one of the upcoming release's

Thanks, we are definitely getting there.   Just an extra consolidation step first for now!

an irc channel on freenode would also be a good idea

tekka, synechist, atcsecure - any thoughts on this?

You mean this? http://webchat.freenode.net/?channels=#XCofficial

Tell me if I'm wrong but XC seems the most advanced coin so far.

The trustless ad hoc mesh networking is simply brilliant (coinshuffle rules !)

Big thanks to the dev. I've never seen such brilliant and innovative stuff in the altcoins world.

This is BIG.

Thank you again !

One question: is it already open source ?

XC is open sourcing on a delayed timeline.  That being said -- REV1 tech is open source (but that is all so far, and XC's current tech is way ahead of REV1).

And IMO, at the very least, they should not open source REV2 until REV3 is fully released.

If XC opens their mesh network code... it will be cloned to 50 other altcoins the next day.   I hope the release is VERY delayed if EVER.   It really should just be independently audited.

No, it's not...  It's working perfectly.

A mixer transaction for your perusal:

https://chainz.cryptoid.info/xc/block.dws?123884.htm

AFAIS address XGoJTqnxdBFxYx8yP2kzLngcwpgtuh2wVX has sent 492 coins to XD1SB65r3u1N1LutAPnSiZYu7X4brAXcFH. How is this anonymous?

Do you know how input and output work?  Really would advise you to start off with some basic introduction articles on how blockchain works before you invest in another "coinjoin/premixed/centralized node" like coin if you don't know how to read input/output.   An "address" is just a "key" for you to have access to a single/whole bunch of UXTO (Unspent transaction output).

a) The transaction, 202dea210ea2f204a06faa27a0ec17386aa84845eff4196d2a99e7a0904fac5d (https://chainz.cryptoid.info/xc/tx.dws?301731.htm) has 5 input (you don't know which input belong to who because those input could be owned by 1-5 people).
b) The output has 14 output (again all these output could be owned by 1-14 people)

How do you prove who sent what to who when this is a SINGLE transactions with all the coins completely combined and then split apart?

I can bet you ANYTHING that the amount sent was not 492 coins, but only 1 XC even though I don't know the real amount....

Even if you bring your "favorite coin's president" here, he can't tell who sent what to whom....   Grin   The real power of multisig transaction.

ps: /rantON  No wonder so many other crap coins get pumped... seems not many people really understand how blockchain works in general....   /rantOFF

Eventual replacement for TOR?  Did I read that correctly?

Yes.

This is the type of long term value people need to look at to evaluate XC full potential.   Not just the next X days prices on MP or bittrex or whatever....

Sneak PR preview

- We're awaiting a publication from a certain news site.

- So we won't release the press materials or software until they do.

- But we think it would be a bad idea to keep you waiting even longer to hear about the "CoinJoin killer," so here's a preview in rasterised form.

- Dan will release the software later on tonight regardless.

- The paid PR will go out to coincide with Mintpal 2.0

Absolutely ground breaking stuff!    People worrying about the short term price really are not seeing the big picture here.   If you want to sell at 10-15% gain... it will be like the people selling Bitcoin at $10....

synechist why don't you release all the annoucements at once and you'll make a big boom with those.. I mean aren't the new features already ready to go?

It is like a birth procedure each time lol

Heh. Because if we did that, much of it would get drowned by the biggest news.

I like the way you are doing it myself.

Thanks Mr_Random. Much appreciated.

It's been given a lot of thought, and we've learned from past releases too.

+1.   You are doing a great job.  Ignore the people that just want to see a pump so they can dump.
