The story so far: Every Tom, Dick and Harry Noob thought that Voot was going to Mintpal today. Just like every noob they thought that Mintpal was the most important thing on earth and would make them rich. They went on a buying spree and the price went up. Then Mintpal anounced that they were adding URO today. Every Tom, Dick and Harry Noob then did what they always do in such situations and panic sold all their Voot so they could panic buy URO and the price of Voot went down. The volume for Voot actually stayed high and even rose. The price then stabilised at around 1800 Sats. Unfortunately it didn't work out so well for Tom, Dick and Harry Noob because when they went on Mintpal the price of URO crashed and nobody wanted to buy it. Tune in again later to hear more about the adventures of Tom, Dick and Harry Noob as they desperately try to buy back the same Voot that they sold earlier for twice the price...... Also, here is something to ponder... If you work at Mintpal and have control of choosing which coin to add: 1. Don't add them and let the price drop 2. Load up on that coin 3. Add that coin the next day 4. .... 5. Profit! |

I couldn't care less what the dev does with the pre-mine so long as the project delivers, which it has been doing.
I highly doubt a programmer of Dan's caliber and real world experience would be working his ass off for this coin if there wasn't a pre-mine.
This. Plus Dan has already stated he is also using the premine to help fund development. Can't go to those bitcoin conference and meet up with investors without any money. I would say whatever money they have used to go to those things have been money well spent. |

Can anyone tell me more about the premine? I see that it is on the address: XS4QLi6VpQQo79HLkoFBj5YZkn6p6TuLKG and current balance is 76797.637446. It state that 1261026.235632 was received and 1184228.598186 was sent. How come that large volume? And where can I find a motivation for every transaction? I'm just quite afraid of large premines after being scammed before, and the value of this is currently 210 btc ~= $133,770. That is pretty much and can easily ruin the market if being dumped.

It's still cheap to buy more. Rev 2 is coming out and some big announcements are coming out this week. What do other people think? is 300-400 in the next 24 hours realistic? well...its.0029 at bter right now... just saying Building some base in this area is not necessarily a bad thing. Why are all the items in the development plan unrelated to the protocol? Are you not concerned with blockchain size, centralization of PoS or any of the other issues with the protocol? Could encrypted messaging and the likes not be provided by other services? Most of the development plan seems to be focused around building out a wallet than working on the protocol. Seems like a bad move in my opinion.
Do you even know what the word protocol means? We are not changing the blockchain like other coins... XC don't bloat the blockchain..... ps. this is the same troll that talked about the Git history. |

This has been the most undervalued coin for weeks. The initial p&d scared everyone off, and they haven't noticed what the coin has actually been delivering.
This increase is just an adjustment back to where the coin should be based on the value it provides. An upward correction, really.

I just hope isnt gonna happen something like BC and CoinKite, where the price rose to 44k, and then go back to 20k...
I hope this rise for XC isnt caused by some sort of hype for the tomorrow launch. Ok the coin are different by ammount primary, but never say never, many people could sell many of their XC tomorrow to earn BTC, and make the XC price fall.

That doesn't always happen, DRK is a prime example of that as it rose from 150k sat to over 2m sat in light of the RC2 release, and stayed there for quite some time after release. XC's REV2 will bring trustless & multipath to the anonymity, and XC's solution after REV2 will surpass DRK's solution, as far as I can understand (but I wouldn't classify myself as an expert). But not only is XC releasing REV2 on Monday... they will be releasing TWO additional announcements on Tuesday and Wednesday (one per day). One can only speculate what that will be... but XC has a lot of plans in its future... Encrypted Chat (REV 2.5), REV3, Blockchain 2.0, Web 3.0... just to name a few. Not to mention major investors that have been coming on board (NFL players being some of them) -- whose involvement is yet to be revealed. I only see a solid uptrend for the next several months. I agree with you, but I've always a bit of doubts, about everything. I prefer to stay aware. careful about buying in at this moment. it will dip a significnant amount right before rev2 due to whale manipulation. patience. will pay off
