I can't wait for the parts to show up. Figured I'd use it to host my staking wallets / do a little gaming / mine some ether.
Will order a third 380 if I can fit one....
Anyone else got a rig?
it will suck a lot of power...I was mining with 5 280x back in the day with 4 computers until the wife had about enough of the noise and made me scale down. But should be a nice gaming rig. Yes it will be a power sucker... I hope 1050W is enough. SeaSonic makes excellent PSU's though. I'm most excited about getting an AMD chip again... I used to be such a fanboy back in the day before intel started crushing them.

what happened to the guys fixing some code. There must be an update to the wallet coming. Any news....
I know BitcreditsCC is busy fixing his own chain and with real life stuff. Don't know where the other guy went. Got nothing but patience!

BCR is moving to low-wattage BN only mining to eliminate the kind of waste you are proposing! Better to invest in or bid for some BCR instead and earn service rewards for running a Banknode, while also backing the currency. Bidding addresses are as follows, bid as much or as little as you please, current bids may be found in the bidtracker directory, although they will soon be updated and shown in the wallet... BTC: 16f5dJd4EHRrQwGGRMczA69qbJYs4msBQ5 LTC: Lc7ebfQPz6VJ8qmXYaaFxBYLpDz2XsDu7c DASH: Xypcx2iE8rCtC3tjw5M8sxpRzn4JuoSaBH (you can verify these addresses in bidtracker.cpp - https://github.com/bitcreditscc/bicreditsnew/blob/master/src/bidtracker.cpp) You get a proportional chunk of the 30000 BCR minted each superblock, every 900 blocks (appx. once a day.) Good to see you crouton! I was reading about this... but didn't really understand until you explained it. I used to have hundreds of thousands of BCR... but sent most of it to an address that I didn't have a private key for... I've been buying back in slowly, will probably have a bank node up in a month or two. Keep selling it cheap guys Hey, I'm a consumer...wasting is what I do

Why charge a premium for Nvidia Tesla series cards? They suck for crypto mining...
That's a pretty standard option for gpu based servers on existing cloud computing services. Is your equipment in house or outsourced?
Are you the plug or the middleman?
It has to do with scalability. Our smaller rigs run on R9 cards, and now we are upgrading to R9 295x2 GPU's. While Nvidia might not be so performant as AMD cards, the end user has no issues on that part. If we guarantee a 200Mh/s rig, the user will get the full 200Mh/s speed. Running on Nvidia or AMD is not an issue for the end user. We are 'the plug'. Our equipment is in house, outsourced We have access to a facility that allows us to build the mining farm. Since this facility is run by relatives, we have very low to zero costs. We might have to pay a fee in the future for electricity consumption. Cool, thanks for the info. It's your business...but the Tesla cards are incredibly cost ineffective for the hashing performance they will produce. You guys would be much better off sticking with non-commercial grade gpus. Good luck.

Still syncing blockchain from scratch, orphans madness. However, seems like I know what causes them. Finally.

Selling something..? still here.. how about this.. you did not ever know that you need one of these.. price only.. order now and you will get this and that But wait... There's more! Subscribe to the FUD within the next 5:00 minutes (visual countdown begins) and you will receive twice the FUD for the price of one. Do not miss this once in a lifetime opportunity!

A lot of people here would be willing to help you out...but we definitely need more information. Post the contents of your config file. Are you on a VPS? Do you have the correct public IP?

Everyone listen.
I have direct contact with Bitcredits via Skype and other means.
I have told him I have updated the code and whatever changes he has done to basically clone the current code with my changes and apply/merge his.
He will get back to me. He is really busy at the moment.
Everyone relax and just hold fire.

Without delving into why it happens, one thing I noticed upon receiving the 500 8BIT is that my wallet staked the coins without being encrypted or unlocked for staking.
whats the plan...Maybe we should look into a coin swap. I'm pretty sure Bitcreditscc put hours in to revamping our code. I think we should switch to it and see what problems remain.

|
|
I'm at work right now, can someone check out Bitcreditscc's update and let us know how it is?

|

From BitcreditsccI think you guys should look at what i have done: https://mega.nz/#F!Z54iQSzB!Lz-V7oHJWbgPQuONAL_T5A It requires some polishing, but should put you up to version 0.11.2 of DASH or 0.30.16.8 of BCR. version 0.12.x of DASH is the current, but i have not bothered reading the code as i doubt it still has relevance to the direction i have been taking. Thank you!!!!

Things are looking up guys, let's get along.

Ah I was just asked to do the work and have been working.
I think the commits have been merged :/
Sorry that is out of my control. I just did a pull request.
Sorry.
Don't be sorry, just a minor mixup. We really appreciate the work you did an 8BIT party merged it already. I have asked BitCredits dev to merge your stuff with his so no work is lost here. And you offered to be the full time 'support dev' for 8BIT, I think that's a great idea, you got my vote Yeah Bitcreditscc can't be here full time, so if you'd like to stick around and work with him in the future, that would be awesome.

Give it a minute if you would, I think a hard fork is about to be posted. Not that we don't appreciate you, just don't want you doing a bunch of stuff that is already completed. If you would post your 8bit Addy, I'm sure the community would hook u up with some. Thanks!
