really that's only 4 days over mothers day weekend

He disappeared without a trace after saying he would be back in an hour 4 days ago.

I'm just putting 2 +2 together.

Buy more though if you enjoy being a professional bag holder.

I think we can officially call this project abandoned at this point.

So, what we do now as community? Takeover the project?

we should wait for atleast one more week don't ya think?

little patience, waiting wont hurt as we already are at zero and "if"
developer comes back with good updates we might get back

I think that only drunk people belive in dev come back. I don't wanne fud, I'm also big bagholder. It's just my oppinion.

Big or small you should consider your investment gone, there is nothing worth saving by taking over anymore than any other day.
So just as well sit there waiting for a specified amount of time instead of ganging up instantly, nothing to lose right?

In defence of the dev it is the weekend but maybe a week is a bit much, considering that a project+community should be taking care of. Let's say middle of the week, or a full 3 working days. If he doesn't read/respond by then consider this project abandoned.

The Dev hasn't logged in since the 6th.

Didn't even have the balls to say he was abandoning.

Fuck him.  I want MasterTrader to take control.

1604  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BITCREDIT | BANKNODES | P2P LENDING | CREDIT SYSTEM| MANDATORY UPDATE 3/5/15 on: May 09, 2015, 09:52:33 PM
There seems to be a lot of concern about the 6 million BCR :- https://chainz.cryptoid.info/bcr/address.dws?4930.htm held in escrow by EmpoEx, i have been alerted that it was being spoken about in any exchanges' chat/troll boxes in a negative light, so i thought i would address the issue once again to avoid letting the wrong ideas propagate.

The initial phases of this project required an ICO to help with development and that fund was meant to be it, but after considerations, we decided as a community that it was not in our best interests at the time and so we put it in escrow while i focused on product development. It has long since been there and remains untouched to this day.

I do not have control over it and when it is released it will be made a public announcement so that everyone knows what is being done with it. If you need clarification of the terms, please contact EmpoEx.

Possible uses of the fund

1) Burn it all
2) Distribute at cheap price that people can quickly buy it all
3) Have a delayed ICO
4) Create a ton of community Bank nodes
5) Divide the fund between the exchanges listing us, then they can all host the ICO concurrently

if anyone has questions, feel free, this is an open community.

I think we should use it so secure VC funding....

Burning it is not an option.  The 6 million would be recreated shortly through mining.

Distributing it at a cheap price will not work, it will be bought by a few whales and or crash the current market.

Creating a ton of community bank nodes would only dilute the banknode count, decreasing payments for people who bought their banknodes.

Having an ICO at this point is absolutely out of question.  It could also crash the market depending on the structure of the ICO.

VC funding is THE answer.  One super whale, one price (FIAT or BTC), one chunk of coins.

I'm honestly hoping there is some scumbag level accumulation going on right now...

The webpage and block crawler are still up, which is a good sign.

@Mastertrader777 you guys have my vote IF the dev wishes to hand over the keys.  I would be more than willing to donate to the cause.

Only in 8bit though; you guys can determine how much that is worth.
1606  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [*] 8BIT [Dark Masternodes][Anon][Roadmap Stage 4] on: May 08, 2015, 10:36:05 PM
People selling low 30's maybe we can pick up some coins arround 10K on monday I usually dont like mondays Grin

Would only take 54 btc to buy every 8bit in existence...

The dev has been away for less than two days now and you guys are already talking about a takeover? Give him more time to come back and update us.

We can wait, question is how long?  The Dev needs to be aware that this project is going to move forward with or without him.  The way I see it, looks as if he is okay with leaving the coin stranded on the side of the road with us in the passenger seat.  Now either he gets this vehicle moving again or we call AAA and take the wheel.

So seriously, how long should we wait?  Were all invested in this, what's wrong with putting together a backup plan?

Maybe a week...

What if he's in the hospital or had a death in the family?  He's only human.

I'm hoping he returns, as he has delivered in the past.

The Dev said he would be back in an hour two days ago and hasn't logged on since.

I agree that it may be a little too early to jump to conclusions, but I think the fact he said he would be back and hasn't returned is creating fear.

I'm all for waiting on him to return, but we do need to draw the line somewhere.

And to whoever said inflation is killing the price, +1 to that.

If we don't hear back from the Dev is it possible to hijack the project? Some new leadership might be required.

Absolutely.  It is open source.

Unfortunately, community takeovers don't usually go so well.

Well I don't see how new leadership can do any worse.  Let's all cut to the chase here, the coin is at rock bottom, it's a failed experiment, game over.  If we are going to keep playing this game, new leadership is the only option.  This coin has a strong foot, already listed on bittrex and cryptsy and thanks to it's strong launch weekend, the coin is recognizable.

I truly feel this coin will be a contender once more if:

1)New leadership
2)Re-branding (lets use a logo that is original, not ripped from a google search)
3)social media presence

I think we should give the dev a week to come back.

But I agree with your points.

I can't wait either.

WOW just really WOW going promote other coins here while this coin still going? really?!?!

at this point the developer didn't do anything wrong maybe ain't classy but we still waiting on the next update which dosn't have a timeframe does it?

i think you should delete your blakecoin from this thread and maybe instead do come up with ideas for this coin.....

Yes, I am.

The developer said he'd be back to explain in an hour 2 days ago.

Just be glad I'm not dumping my enormous bag.

put your foot down Wink

I don't mean to cause a panic, but has anyone else noticed that the dev has not been online for more than 24 hours? Starting to wonder if the increase in masternode price was an attempt to get the price to jump so he could sell out.

Time will tell, but i also think its weird he hasnt been online. Lets just hope he busy with the code Grin

No no panic was just wondering. no hurry to put them back

Looks like we are REKT.

I have never seen a developer have literally no relationship with the community before.  Even with a scamcoin.

It's a shame.  8bit was a cool coin with a strong masternode network.

Looks like soon, we won't be able to sell our coins at all...

I noticed it many weeks back. This isn't news to the people with half a brain that can judge character.

I noticed it as well...

But, I was willing to take the risk.  No use dumping the market to zero, so I'm just going to write this one off.

How come wallet says 219 nodes while 2-3 days ago we had like 257? we should be around 270 nodes now or am i missing something?

Some people's nodes may have gone offline due to dynamic IP addresses, computer restarts, etc...

Some people may have dumped their 8bit.
1616  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [*] 8BIT [Dark Masternodes][Anon][Roadmap Stage 4] on: May 07, 2015, 11:25:49 PM
My masternodes were working just fine but they now no longer seem to be in the masternode list.

Any ideas why they would just seem to stop?  Huh

Maybe you have a dynamic IP address.

Go to google.com and search "what is my ip address".

Check the IP address in your config file and make sure it still matches.

Hi I have fixed it school boy error Roll Eyes

LOL!  School Boy!!!

Glad you were able to fix the problem.

For the next 24 hours, let us hear arguments and vote on

1) BN payments increase (perhaps a static % for the entire lifetime?, i'd say 40% Smiley but don't mind me, i'm a multiple BN owner)

2) Darksend ( i think we should keep InstantX)

1) 40% I can live with. Maybe a voted review every 6 months or something.
2) DS is at best a false sense of security for the few that use it. IX is useful for everyone, all the time.

Thumbs up from me... On both thoughts.
1619  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [*] 8BIT [Dark Masternodes][Anon][Roadmap Stage 4] on: May 07, 2015, 08:28:59 PM
I would really like to know when the masternode price is going to change. Time frame.

Yeah me too

I think most people are waiting for the dev to tell us this information...

Yeah..He said he'd be back in an hour over a day ago lol

Starting to sink in yet, that I might of been right about this guy?

Lol, you might have the last laugh on this one.  I can admit when I'm wrong.

I'm stuck though, just like the rest of the community.

Going to have to ride this one out and hope for the best.

Any thoughts?  Happens with new wallet within a minute of launching.

->
Code:
Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.
WalletModel::getOptionsModel (this=0x0) at qt/walletmodel.cpp:413
413    return optionsModel;

this headache

LOL... ok man just wondering.

Good luck!
