Dun waste my time pls, thx
An eye for an eye my friend.... Let's keep this scheme on top. I will do my best to make you lose your funds. I'm not sure what you mean about "keeping this scheme on top". I've already lost my funds...they aren't worth much and there isn't liquidity in the market to exit at a price I'm comfortable with. I'm not a dumper. Try your best to make me lose my funds. I will try my best to be kind to you.

I thought you and I were being cordial from now on, what happened?
Good joke, really. I haven't done anything or said anything to suggest otherwise. Guess the jokes on you.

Things are beginning to look a little better IMO.
You have destroyed everything what has been built during last months. I wonder what kind of glasses do you wear to see anything looking better here. Pink glasses are not enough, for sure. I don't necessarily agree with that statement... I thought you and I were being cordial from now on, what happened?

Hi guys, just come back from holidays, how are the things going?, what happened these past days?, i missed a big dip as i see?
Welcome back niki. Things are beginning to look a little better IMO. The community is seeking a developer and figuring out what direction 8bit should go. A coin swap to a Dash fork seems to be a pretty popular idea, although it has been pointed out that switching to a new blockchain isn't entirely necessary.

switching algorithms to sha or blake?
What for? Have you found any weakness in scrypt? I like scrypt, even though it's memory and power intensive. But DASH is X11. I've heard discussions regarding the longevity and security of chained algorithms, but I am not an expert on the matter so I cannot comment. I like SHA and Blake for two reasons mainly. Power efficiency (watts per gh/s) as well as security. I know that both of these algorithms have the potential to merge mine, which should help with distribution and network security. I don't think anyone has forked DASH in such a way before, which could attract attention on its own. Just thinking out loud though. I'm interested to see what you and the rest of the community think.

Always willing to donate coins. Not sure I would donoate 4k but I am saving my POS for a dev. I dont want to give it to a dev that would just dump on the market. Would rather send btc then.
I just want our savior to have a piece of the pie. He would receive it in increments to prevent him from dumping on us, but it should provide him with incentive to increase the value of the coin. I do like the idea of the DASH fork, but what does everyone else think about auxPOW or switching algorithms to sha or blake?

It's an option too, but the problem is what if the current problems are in the blockchain and can't be fixed, we tried for 2 months already. with coin swap to clean chain, we know we get fast syncing coin, plus the new Dash features.
Really? We need powerusers (e.g. allZuckedUp) to check new branch NOTE: following test has been performed on VIRTUALIZED enviroment. Host setup: - CPU: pretty OLD i5, MOBILE version - SATA HDD - 1.5G RAM so - nothing fancy let's compile and start daemon git clone -b fixed_sync https://github.com/8bit-dev/8bit.git && cd 8bit/src/ && make -f makefile.unix -j2 && strip -s 8bitd && mv 8bitd ~ && cd wget http://www.8-bit.party/static/bootstrap.dat.bz2 && bunzip2 bootstrap.dat.bz2 && mkdir .8bit && mv boostrap.dat .8bit vi .8bit/8bit.conf (... par=2 dbcache=120) ./8bitd
let's go Mon 31 Aug 20:23:43 BST 2015 8Bit server starting
we start with empty databases init message: Loading addresses... ERROR: CAddrman::Read() : open failed Invalid or missing peers.dat; recreating Loaded 0 addresses from peers.dat 0ms
new feature [bootstrap.dat] Loading blockfile from external file /home/party8bit/.8bit/bootstrap.dat
let's get current height / other (fully synced) node date;./8bitd -datadir=.8bit getblockcount Mon Aug 31 22:25:17 CEST 2015 173326
let's see where are we now date;tail -2 .8bit/debug.log Mon 31 Aug 21:25:19 BST 2015 SetBestChain: new best=c7529a4b12f3b11793066ed4db027125a3eb1744005d661236f1b2f5ee81e6c8 height=30239 trust=211906661110443464 blocktrust=5222802184991 date=05/11/15 16:08:16 ProcessBlock: ACCEPTED
So with updated code and fresh bootstrap.dat, after one hour I have synced my chain up to height 30239 what basically means that it took me about one hour to download 17.4% of blockchain. So within 6 hours I will have fully synced, almost 5 months old 8BIT blockchain. That's actually not too bad... I would really like to see lite mode features implemented into the wallet at some point (like shadowcash, not sure what other coins have it). I've never had syncing issues myself.

Ignored.
I wish to see you saying Dimitry is your best friend. He's got a competing coin in his sig... Just been a FUD monster lately. Probably trying to get people to go to GSY. 8-bit-party, believe it or not, we could be friends. Just treat me with respect from this point forward. I'll do the same to you.

There has been more than enough negativity in this thread. I will no longer humor it. I love a good reality show, but this drama...
I'm here for one reason. To support 8-bit and this community.
Let's put our differences behind us and collectively figure out if and how we can move forward.
Let's collectively Damp it to 1 satoshi the only way will be up, positive enough for you? Ignored.

I am committing 4k 8bit to a developer who can adopt this bastard.
After reading this thread I don't think anyone will accept a single coin from you to do not let you comment his work. Lol? Dat google translate.

Whatta wishful thinking. You ask a new dev to accept risk of falling knives from old dev / blockchain abusers.
Be an optimist...life is so much more vibrant. I am committing 4k 8bit to a developer who can adopt this bastard. By adopt, I mean feed it, change diapers, love it for the rest of its life.

Meanwhile I guess it might be worth to pay less for quick 8BIT code review & "what to fix plan" to check if full code migration and coin swap is really necessary. I can't recommend anyone (altough blackcoin/novacoin/dash forums can be good place to start), earlz is not a right guy for it, as he claims he is not familiar with masternodes. Migration and swap with support will cost 1-5 BTC while code review should cost less than 1 BTC.
It's an option too, but the problem is what if the current problems are in the blockchain and can't be fixed, we tried for 2 months already. with coin swap to clean chain, we know we get fast syncing coin, plus the new Dash features. I think the first course of action would be to secure a developer. Then worry about fork later. I know we can get together an incentive package for a new dev, and with our low market cap, passionate/active development should drive the price up pretty easily.

I have a quote from a dev to fork Dash for us for 0.5BTC with a 2 week timescale, the user is https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=360311. Any thoughts on this? Also, Mullick from Cryptsy said their preferred method for the coin swap would be for us to do it on the blockchain with the balances of all addresses funded with an equal balance on the new chain. If not, they need advanced notice so they can freeze withdrawals / deposits, but users could still trade during that period. I would personally like to see someone take an active development role in the coin. The fork is great and all, but after the fork we are still at a standstill. I think the only way to do this the right way is to pay a developer in 8bit. I'm sure they guy you found is fantastic...but after he gets the job done he's gone.

Me and my mind are in excellent state. Also keep in mind that even out of board I will bring here more support than you so your behaviour hurts this community more than me personally.
I think your presence and behavior damage the brand. Maybe that's just me though.

Still some coins have to be left to let blockchain go till last official block. With current diffculty (60K 8BITS stake) it will be not cheap. Besides that coin can be "added" in premine of new chain.
Easy solution: ask bittrex to stake their wallet during swap. when wil this happen? Exchange/ I did an exchange with summercoin 2 . They did a hybred pos pow i believe. It's all talk at this point. We are just trying to pick up the pieces after 8-bit-party lost his mind.
