What if we just supported this coin by actively posting on this thread as a fun community, and we don't worry right now about forks and new road maps and development?
It already has a cool and appealing brand (I love 8 bit games and graphic design), and the masternodes just work. There are a ton of new projects now that require 25,000 coins to create a masternode, and I think the 112 8BIT requirement is a very unique feature of this coin, making masternodes available to the average or new crypto user.
I'm not saying that 8BIT couldn't benefit from a new, dedicated dev (It would); I am just saying that barring that, maybe if it just has an active community (constantly bumped thread, lots of reddit and Twitter posts, people posting memes and 8bit game and retro music links, etc.), we could keep this thing alive.
Would you try to revive your grandmother if she died? Lay it to rest guys. There are 100's of rekt scamcoins and I'm sure a lot of us are bag holding at least a few of them. This coin is rekt. There is literally nothing that makes our special. No need for any more boo hooing. Wipe your tears and move on. damn, so sad to see the dev just vanish like that, i notice the crave dev is also silent for quite a bit.
Scam coins / Scam devs I hope they are proud of themselves. Altcoins were barely surviving as it was. Now they are dead. Good long term holds, IMO: 1. Blakecoin 2. Supernet 3. Dash 4. Bitcredit 5. XAI 6. Bitcoin Play it safe guys. Trying to 10x isn't worth getting rekt. |

Hey guys, I'm still lurking.... Looks as if there isn't enough motivated community support to bring this out of the crap hole. I could do alot here, but won't work for free, and tech isn't free either. I will stand along the sidelines and wait this one out either way. Looks dead, and needs a takeover...but I can't name one dev out there that revives coins for fun. Why create this sense of urgency to heavily push a community decision in your favour... Also if you have this big bag why dont you be the good Samaritan by protecting what is yours? your motives are shady, ill join you on the sidelines, lets wait this one out. I wouldn't call it extortion. This coin is the epitome of shitcoin. He's saying that while he has a big bag, he didn't invest enough to lose sleep over. Toshidesk is a large project, and he needs a stable incentive (btc), to develop the project due to his obligations elsewhere. I don't blame the guy. I'm really disappointed by the greed of the 8bit community. 5btc is not a lot to ask for all that he was willing to do. Not everyone has to pledge .5 btc. You guys weren't even willing to put up .01. For this reason, I'm out. Some people only hold less than 500 8bit, so donating 0.5 bitcoin will be risky as they would rather cut their loses now.
get.realistic.expectations if the offer was just fork+ for 1,5 btc maybe then there would be more willingness to donate... the offer is for more then there is invested interest, simple really A fork gets us nowhere. We need an active developer that will support continued development. |
