I dont think it is necessary to chase people away. If mastertrader wants to help then let him help. I dont think this coin is in any condition to single people out.

mastertrader is a scammer. I have no idea how he can help here since his own-personal had no update since March. This guy is here to take your bitcoins not to bring any value here.

8-bit-party, if you haven't noticed, we are considering several other options.  I don't think Mastertrader is one of them at this point.  We want/need a dev to

take this under his wing for the long haul.

If you think he's a scammer, just leave him some feedback so everyone can know from now on.  Let's put this behind us and move forward.

Ok, sure.

Good luck fellas.

Take care,

I don't know why the disagreement has to be public anymore....

One of the most addicting simple games I have ever played was called Pheonix.

I used to play it on my graphing calculator in middle school...

It was a galaga style game, but you could use your earnings after each round to buy upgrades for your spaceship.

How can I get access to the coins currently in Stake ?

In the config I put staking=0 and restarted but that didn't move them back to spendable. Any help to better understand would be appreciated.

Thanks!

-soco

Hey soco.  Unfortunately, you'll have to wait this one out.  Disable staking as you have and wait.

The chief problem with adding masternodes is that everyone thinks they are cool but has no idea how to monetize them. I think the low range gaming idea is pretty good but you also have to consider certain aspects like

1) Are the games part of the packaging or do you want to provide a tool box for adding games(leaving it to each individual 8BitNode owner) ?
2) Can the games be multiplayer?
3) Do the owners maintain save games?

This has not even taken into account that you have to engineer a fair rewards system that is based off actual game progress/time played

And of course there is the all time irritation of blocktimes...games are a real time events and blocks are not, this means , you have to consider how to add data (time delayed) into a block/  create a side channel  with which to update the network on each player on each node's stats.

Interesting set of problems to overcome (this does not even touch on network latency and cryptography yet)

What is the eventual goal here? Niche gaming or mobile platform launch to reach the masses?

1) I've always envisioned a mixture of both.  A toolbox for adding and hosting games, as well as the ability to develop and host simple games would be epic.

2) I'm not sure about multiplayer, but it would be cool to compete and bet with other players for high scores in a side by side fashion.

3) I'd say yes

I think a mobile platform launch to reach the masses would be the end game here.

Maybe develop a website where users use 8bit like quarters almost.  They don't even have to realize they are using blockchain tech.

The cat is out of the bag.

In case you guys did not know, CRAVE actually copied the version of masternode that BitcreditsCC developed for Bitcredit.

Bitcredit had block header syncing long before coins like DASH.

I strongly reccomend that you guys check out his coin.  Bitcredit utilizies technologies that are entirely unique and innovative in the crypto world.

And to BitcreditsCC, thank you for stopping by.  A man of your integrity and talent is rare in this world.  We welcome you with open arms.

I have an important announcement guys.

One of the most talented developers in crypto today is currently reviewing our codebase.  He has taken interest in the project and actually knows how to accomplish all of the goals we have had for 8bit, including gaming.

For the time being, he has asked me not to mention who he is, but he said it was ok to tell you guys that he is reviewing the codebase as we speak.

Buckle your seatbelts.

Hello,

You have problems with the chain? What exactly?

Regards limxdev

Welcome Limxdev.  Thanks for dropping by.  I'll check out your coin.
1432  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [*] 8BIT [Dark Masternodes][Anon][Roadmap Stage 4] on: September 03, 2015, 07:27:20 PM
I am not sure why are you still defending him. We are not in hurry, no need to cry over spilled milk. So, where is mastertrader777?

No one is defending him.  We are just saying that we have no control over him.  Mastertrader obviously doesn't give a damn, he'll hold his stash until the day he

dies.  There is nothing we can do about that.  Anyone can own a digital p2p currency.

1433  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [*] 8BIT [Dark Masternodes][Anon][Roadmap Stage 4] on: September 03, 2015, 07:03:59 PM
No, no. I don't need your apologies.
If you don't want to quote a result of your creativeness, what about focusing on bringing masteretarded back to this thread to let him explain why should I let him earn a single satoshi.

I'm not sure what you mean about quoting.

But we need you.  That's clear.  No one else wants this coin.  You're obviously passionate about gaming and 8-bit games.

I always found your mention of demoscene intriguing.

We have no ability to communicate with or control Mastertrader.  He's obviously a pretty hard-headed guy.  I don't think he even owns that many coins...

Don't punish us for him.

What do you need?  For mastertrader to sell his stash?
1434  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [*] 8BIT [Dark Masternodes][Anon][Roadmap Stage 4] on: September 03, 2015, 06:45:21 PM
So the sync took about 13 hours... Which is actually better than before, but I still think vast improvement is needed there.
Seems like I have to run my test again.

Quote
I think the one we're using now has something like 80k blocks in it, and the current chain is a bit over 175k.
No, bootstrap.dat is *pretty* fresh (it's not updated everyday but it's not outdated more than 1 week).

Quote
BTW, anyone else notice the money supply passed 300k?
Not really. When I was about to publish new release I had a window here opened with a message that unfortunately we will not reach 100k PV in this thread... because new one has to be started. Why am I talking about it? Because we just have reached 105k PV today!

This is pretty funny that IPO scam like MTR coin which is much older than abandoned 8BIT has only 76k PV. Anyway where is that scammer masteretarded (mastertrader777) now? Run away with his tail between his legs?
I wonder when he will explain what has he done with funds (not much, but we talk about credibility) he collected? Did you you know he moved those funds to exchanges?

That's understandable.  We have some really passionate people here.

We still have over 400 masternodes on the network, and we obviously have some incredibly strong hands holding 8bit.

We all just want to see this become what it was meant to be.  So much potential.

8-bit-party, is there anything we can do to have you actually develop this coin?

What would it take?  Would I have to sell out?  I want to see this move forward.  Think about it.

It grows by 200 a day....
pretty close to 51%

Wow...how big is that wallet?
1436  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [*] 8BIT [Dark Masternodes][Anon][Roadmap Stage 4] on: September 03, 2015, 03:47:54 PM
Still holding my POS for someone to take over.   2340 as of now.

With my 4,000, that makes close to 6,500 for our savior.

Pretty nice incentive if you ask me.  It would be difficult to acquire that amount at market.

LOL, so you're the reason I don't stake as much as I used to...

Nice man.

I didn't find a reliable dev who can do the fork for us yet, but still trying.  Anyone in the community can help?

What about dbt1033 or masteretarded777?

First one tries to be polite now, second one disappeared again. I guess it's time to call them to do something here.

I'm being polite because it's the right thing to do.  I've forgiven you, whether you want me to or not.

That's my call.

If I had the programming skills, I'd take this project on with a fury but unfortunately, I do not.

So asking me doesn't get us very far.

As you said, you're a bagholder and a member of this community just like the rest of us.

Because of this, I will treat you like anyone else here.  Work with us please, not against us.

Cool.  Thanks for your effort.

Keep on swinging.  You'll connect eventually.
