1. Follow through on torrent/game hosting.
2. Add Gui functionality for darksend.
3. Distributed twitch tv like service.
4. 8bit casino hosted on masternodes.
5. 8bit marketplace for cartridges/systems
6. One click masternodes set up
7. 8bit apparel store on masternodes.
8. In wallet emulator for 8 bit games
9. Multiplayer port for 8bit games where users can bet against each other and play for high scores. Tournaments hosted on masternodes.
10. Gaming enthusiast chat room in wallet.
11. Create your own 8bit game hosted on your masternode. People can play your game for a certain window of time by paying 1 8bit.
Just brainstorming here
Edit: Establish a Board of Directors. Require 1000 8bit balance for a seat / access to special slack channel. Call these Directors something nerdy/related to gaming. Also require each director to add .1 btc buy support at a certain price point on bittrex.

Mastertraded, my personal problem with this FUD is that it does not affect orderbooks.
I am pretty sure you can do it better.
It would be (FINALLY) first benefit from your activity here.
At this moment I am disappointed. Orderbooks cannot be affected... 8bit is in the dirt. Mastertrader is just a very large holder of 8bit at this point, as am I. Everyone calm down and grab the popcorn. There is no need for jabs. I don't give a damn who you are. I'm just here for the ride and am happy someone has taken initiative with 8bit. |

Well i cant really understand what is happening right now, as i thought mastertrader was taking over, but this wasnt something certain as i see.
What is happening? Something good. And I am not taking over this coin (or at least not yet), mastertraded still can take over it, my voice here has same value as any other here.
All I do is doing things that need to be done. They should be done month or even two months ago. It did not happen so I came and do it. As simple as that.
You still can run another block explorer, another twitter account or duplicate any other things I will do during next days. I am fine with it.
What brought me here and what is my long-term plan for this project cannot be disclosed at this moment. I believe that it is a good moment for some people to leave the ship and sell coins. All I can say is that it is MUCH better (and cheaper and so on) to join this project and extend it to areas not even discussed here yet instead of starting from scratch with other 8-bit mood, 8-bit name, similiar technical fundamentals (pow, then pos, masternodes, masternode services). I can't tell you anything else, just enjoy, involve, participate, cooperate, work hard. You do not have to even trust me since you do not have to pay for anything I do and all things I ask for are benefits for each user here including me. My benefit is your benfit. With same value.
Will you "take over" the coin for free? Or for 8bit donations? I think the only problem people have with Mastertrader is that he requires btc payment. |

That is exactly my point! If nobody wants 8Bit because of bad marketing (Likened to an illness). Then supply and demand do not apply! You took something that everyone wants right now (more gold). Which is just as arbitrary. First 8Bit needs the likeness of Gold(real "marketed" value). Then you can fiddle around with supply/demand. Not the other way around. Lol, fair enough man. Although marketing is the least of our worries at this point. We need a good product to market. You can hype up shit all you want, but in the end, it's still shit. We can agree to disagree, but I still think rewards need to be drastically reduced. |

I like the idea of static PoS rewards. But this is just out of control.
What you call simple economics is a fallacy. What if for example common illness becomes treatable and thus scarce. By your line of reasoning there would be an increased demand for this illness! Demand and supply are two seperate dimensions. Taken together they determine price. So when you create scarcity given certain demand* then and only then will the price go up. But if there is no demand then scarcity will not help. You will only fade away into nothingness. *(not taking into account p&d schemes.) At least with high supply you have the chance to get scattered around and be noticed. Its easy to hide 1 diamond, much easier then sahara sand. But to create demand for the diamond or for the sand, it needs to be of value to people. This is were marketing comes in. No marketing, no perceived value. No perceived value, nothing. Decreasing inflation will only temporarily increase price, after that it's bye bye. Unless of course marketing kicks in, but then we need to watch out in becoming too scarce. For neither diamond, nor sand is very usefull to be used for payment. What would be a good practical number for 8bit coin supply? Given the to be determined goals for usage? And how to get there from where we are now? This is much more important imho! Supply and demand do not apply to illness... That's a horrible example. Hyperinflation is a bad thing. 8bit is hyperinflating. We need to get this in check, quickly. |

Well, this is not a hyper inflation. At 10 years maximum amonut of coins that can be generated is 6307200. To be exact, assuming you 60 seconds block time it is 630720 per year. You guys assume the btc value per coin is more important than it's marketcap. Well, you are wrong. For example the marketcap of 8bit is $ 10,865 right now. If the price stays stable it will be 5x more. I think you are rather worried to get off your stash as soon as possible than thinking the future of the coin because 6.3 million coins in 10 years is nothing. Remember, a smaller piece of something is worth much more than a larger piece of nothing.
Please refer to price vs. marketcap.  If you want to raise this coin's value you should be more worried about marketing it, creating innonative ways of using it etc. The inflation is just fine for a hipos cryptocurrency. As much as I like getting pos and masternode rewards ...Your right...They are a little high... This is why I asked you guys. I think the rewards are a bit high myself. Suggestion time...lets hear them. Cheers, MasterTrader777 I think the combination of pos and masternodes payout needs to be about 40 % of todays rate. Drop the total reward from 1.2 down to 0.8 with node getting 0.5 and minter getting 0.3 I think this is still too high. What about .08 for masternodes and .04 for miners. We have got to get inflation under control if we are to see the value of 8bit rise. Remember, a smaller piece of something is worth much more than a larger piece of nothing. |

Hard to tell which way to go ...I dont think 512 or 1024 is a lot for a masternode. How about 768 8bit per Masternode? A compromise met in the middle for everyone? 768 has my vote. It makes sense. For the big guys and the little guys. Or just make it 888 for fun |

What if we just supported this coin by actively posting on this thread as a fun community, and we don't worry right now about forks and new road maps and development?
It already has a cool and appealing brand (I love 8 bit games and graphic design), and the masternodes just work. There are a ton of new projects now that require 25,000 coins to create a masternode, and I think the 112 8BIT requirement is a very unique feature of this coin, making masternodes available to the average or new crypto user.
I'm not saying that 8BIT couldn't benefit from a new, dedicated dev (It would); I am just saying that barring that, maybe if it just has an active community (constantly bumped thread, lots of reddit and Twitter posts, people posting memes and 8bit game and retro music links, etc.), we could keep this thing alive.
