19322  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why is Bitcoin tanking this afternoon? on: August 02, 2011, 09:19:58 PM
These things are for sure going to happen...  think about it...

all kinda of bitcoin start-ups happened all at once, some where well made and others not so much
the lack of other resources forced people into using these non-secure applications.
people get burned and so bitcoin suffers.
but "what doesn't kill you can only make you stronger"
new services will come take the place of old shitty ones.
at one point the only services that will have any change at making a buck will be top notch.

if your scared about losing money then SELL SELL SELL!!
if your scared about losing period  then BUY  BUY  BUY!!

I want to see a better system in place
I don't want to pay some bank money for simply providing money
every dolor is loaned to us by the banks, the only way to pay the loans back it to barrow more money!
THIS IS ABUSIVE, THIS IS THERE WAY OF ENSLAVING EVERYONE from 9:00am to 5:00pm 5 days a week!

We can buy back our freedom. thanks to bitcoin.

F&@! MAN wake up and smell join the revelation!.... if bitcoin was invented in the 60's we wouldn't be in so much shit today... people back then didn't put a value on there freedom.

  Wink

i only cost 16$CND / hour

What dose your "freedom" cost?

truth is everyone's freedom cost the same... it cost a life time.

19323  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Conference and World Expo 2011 NYC on: July 25, 2011, 03:38:33 AM
I'm on the fence.

I wish there was a more detailed list of speakers and presentations, so that I knew there was actually enough content to make it worth my while.

Right now I'm afraid that it's going to be a few people hanging out,  not knowing what to do with themselves.

If I felt like I would be busy the whole time, I'd be there for sure.

my feeling exactly.

Bruce is saying lots of new bitcoin start ups will be presented at this conference
and that we will all go eat at Meze Grill.

but my question is:

will i get to party with Bruce personally?
or will be one out of thousands of people their?

either way, I'm there! it would just be nice to know..

Bruce Wagner is hosting a Bitcoin Conference (Thursday, August 18, 2011, 9:00 AM)

I'm from Montreal and thinking of going down to new york with my wife for this event

but I'd like to see what your thoughts are.

is it worth going?
19325  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many people have you introduced to bitcoin? on: July 25, 2011, 12:55:15 AM
i told a few people about bitcoin, some older then me 30+, some the same age

every time i see them i talk about bitcoin or they ask me about my bitcoins,

and whats cool is that every time theirs only good news about how bitcoin is getting better and easier to use

new bitcoin super stores

new exchange markets (now i can trade CND$ for bitcoin very easily)

none of the 30+ people wana buy into it...  they just don't believe or understand how it can potentially rid us of the banks...

its as if....
they are so scared of change they forget  everything they said about the "Big Bad Banks" and start to defend them!

the younger people, people my age 24ish... seemed more turned on by the idea of a revolutionary way of handing money

we shouldn't target older people, forget them...they love their money...they can no longer imagine life without there huge loans and credit cards

educate the 15years old's, let them know that if they wanted...when they all grow up.... they could help change the world!!!

19326  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why google should endorse Bitcoins (and probably hates visa) on: July 14, 2011, 08:10:43 AM

how are they going to make money off Bitcoin?  i doubt they're going to become an exchange...

visa fees 2.8 billion dollars.
btc fees 0

the whole world should be in on bitcoin i mean that would make the best sense...

how many $ are spend on visa fees?

problem is NO one knows about bitcoin, i know its hard to imagine but its true.
try asking 100,000 people if they know about bitcoin... maybe you'll get one bitcoiner!?

we need to gather our strength make bitcoin alot better, and then let everyone in on this bitcoin thing, which can fucking save the world MAN!

i don't know exactly how bitcoin will go about Changing the world.

but i believe it will. i can feel it.

2012 something has to happen...
O_O Huh maybe god made bitcoin???

tripping! LOL

19334  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin guerilla marketing - Thats almost worth my bitcoins... on: July 09, 2011, 11:33:24 PM
Would people do this with gold, silver, MoneyBookers funds or PayPal?

Viral marketing is ok, but don't make Bitcoin a clown; The odd man out. It will make the entire project seem like a frat joke.

A well thought out well put together viral marketing plan could potentially launch bitcoin into mainstream.

we should place the " What is bitcoin " video, on youtube in searches it doesn't belong ,so we get some random people to see bitcoin

19337  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin stable price. on: July 05, 2011, 05:49:34 PM
If you look at the demand right now there is much more supply than demand.

So price will continue down for some months, I think it will go stable at $6.
Then work its way back up to $100 over the coming months/year.

if i had balls of steal I'd sell everything right now and wait for the price to fall and buy low

but what if your wrong... and the price goes up...

playing the market is a tricky thing
19338  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Whats so important to moving a decimal? on: July 05, 2011, 04:34:18 AM

19339  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why do people sell at 15 when the price could rebound to 30? on: July 04, 2011, 05:16:23 PM
I'm holding on to my bitcoins for 35 years its my retirement plan....
19340  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How will/could Mt.Gox's "decentralized exchange" work? on: July 04, 2011, 02:52:54 AM
i have no idea but i'll give it a try... here gose:

the client will be on your computer and you load it with USD$  and / or BTCs
there is a "order filling computers" which constantly looks to match buyer to seller  (ex. kinda like the miners, processing transactions)

and then!

you have a client which has a asking price of 15.50$
I have a client which has a selling price of 15.50$

an "order filling computer" finds the match and takes your USD$ sends it to me, and takes my bitcoins and sends it to you

the "order filling computer" that process this transaction will be rewarded with a 0.5% fee on both side... 0.5% of the bitcoins and 0.5% of the USD$

Maybe we could have each client act as a "order filling computer" (ex. kinda like the bitcoin client can generate coins) in which case there should be no fees..

Throw in a Block Chain....

DONE!

lol you have to give me credit for trying...
