Anyone has any idea what's happened to bitcoingadgets.com? I've been trying to open it for the last several days, but it appears to be down.
yup down...

Here's some more from S3052's Jan 1 report:
“We keep our view intact that there is a good probability that bitcoin prices will at least correct the down move from June 2011 to Fibonacci retracements of 13.5 $ (38.2%), 17 $ (50%), or 20.6 $ (61.8%). Most typical in corrective waves are the 50% and 61.8% retracements. This means that even if bitcoin prices were to fall again in 2012, the current rally can lead to 17 – 20 $!”
Sorry for my ignorance, but can anyone decipher this for me? I find it fascinating but don't really understand it. their is no chance in hell its going down, even if it dose... its going to be short lived

Of course there will be a correction. It happened on the way up to $30, and it will happen this time. There is no escaping the correction. Yes, be very wary of corrections... reduce your leverage and make smaller positions.
But who the hell died and made you the Manipulator? Where are you getting $9-12 from?
i'm guessing he pull it out of his ass... doesn't mean its not right i tend to agree with him...

Do the prices in BTC change per exchange rate, or are they fixed?

cool, next question then:
do you have the cashflow to be able to pay a $5000 bill... or, what would be a reasonable limit to assume?
Not a problem. Happy spending! are their no limits at all? is their a limit to the number of transaction we can do per day?

3 years ago bitcoin was born,
1.5 years later mtgox was born
what took them so long... did satosih and his friends mine 3 mill coins b4 letting everyone know about bitcoin?
The first year of mining was a slow one, even at difficulty 1. By Year 1, there were only 1.6M bitcoins. The other 6.4M bitcoins were mined in years 2 and 3. helpful information, more info / comments on the early days of bitcoin would be cool!

How many cab drivers actually own their cabs in the US? Here, the majority of drivers don't and they pay a shift fee plus a percentage of the takings to the owner. Taxis driving is also an industry under constant scrutiny by the Taxation Office here.
Most businesses don't like anything which adds extra steps to them receiving payment. Until Bitcoin can integrate seemlessly with other payment platforms, it's going to add an extra layer of pain in the ass to accepting payments. If you develop an app which can get the Bitcoin payments to the merchant's bank account without any extra actions on their part and which provides them with daily printouts of amounts received and from whom, you're beginning to approach the same level of convenience credit card payments offer merchants.
Business people look for things which simplify payment processing and accounting. No-one's written the Bitcoin app to do that yet.
their is nothing simply about accepting VISA payments, the pain in the ass is was collecting dollars and cents. the solution was costly bitcoin provides a better solution without the cost!

do you like the fact that i like to post these polls?

i'd say bitcoin "real value" is the supple VS demand
supply is their for everyone to see... ~8mill the demand on the other hand is anyone's guess, and who's to say what effect it will have on price.
my guess is that at 1$ their is way way more then 8mil coins of demand, if you agree, then you can say 1 bitcoin is at the very least worth 1$
finding the "true price" of bitcoin is dead simple, look at the chart!
