18421  Economy / Speculation / Re: thebitcoinreview.com wants to make a video about bitcoin market fundmantals on: March 09, 2012, 05:46:32 AM
Good video, I wish I would have ventured into the Speculation forum a week ago.

I haven't been reading this as much as Bitcoin Discussion as well as Hardware has been distracting me with all the BFL singles popping up in the wild!

Matthew, my skype is MaddCowz I believe.  I'm not on too often, but I'd love to talk to you one of these days when I get some time.

added, maybe I can do another video  in a few weeks.
18422  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: question, should i start minning? on: March 09, 2012, 04:36:28 AM
No the issue really becomes slots and power.

If you have only PCI slots (not PCI express PCIe) then that can be a problem.
If you don't have enough PCIex16 slots you will need extenders and a little jurying rigging.
If you have 2+ PCIex16 slots the age of MB is irrelivent.

Mining uses so little bandwidth you could run 20+ GPU on a serial port if such an adapter existed.

An older computer may not have a power supply capable of pushing multiple high end cards so you could be looking at a PSU upgrade.

Take a look at your PSU. Find total wattage, find how much wattage is available on 12V rails.  Find out how many 12V rails there are.  Take a look at the MB.  Do you have any PCIe slots?  How many?  In which slots?  What length are they?  PCIex16? PCIex1?  Post that and people can give you some idea of what your options are.

It could be anything from "drop in ready" (buy 1+ cards, plug them in and mine) to "it would be cheaper to start with a new rig".

thank you!

yeah, the choices really didn't match the question all that well

As far as I know socialism and capitalism are economic systems/models while communism, democracy are political.
Is there any country with democracy and socialism implemented?

right, thanks

I honestly feel that you guys are in complete denial of what's going on, I see it as reverse hype. Trying to boost an opinion based on so called "really bad news" that aren't actually all that bad. It doesn't help arguing about it though, we will find out who is right.
Just watch now as with the decline, suddenly there come more negative news. Let’s see who is in denial about what actually happened.

Perhaps now we will finaly learn who the other 4 victims of the Linode hack were, and how big their losses were?

Faucet, Slush, Bitcoinica, Coinworker and Trade Hill, leaves 3. Do we know any more? But also some could have had multiples.
Gavin lost 5 Bitcoins, right? Or was that the faucet?

the faucet, which could of been his.. or someone else donated

18437  Economy / Speculation / Re: the bit bot UPDATE: is this a exploit ? on: March 07, 2012, 06:56:03 AM
So, the left side of mtgoxlive is filled with false walls?

I think the live charts troll is gone, the "hack" was week in that if you refreshed, his bids would disappear.
