1602  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: German Government Tracks Bitcoin Transactions To Prevent Terrorism Financing on: January 05, 2016, 04:13:36 PM
They can track all the transactions they want... Beyond that they will find it hard to do anything.

Also, another news matching Bitcoin and illegal activity... Roll Eyes
1603  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how to recover btc on: January 05, 2016, 03:55:07 PM
If you use Paypal you can claim your money

how to recover INVESTED BITCOINS to scam sites ?

You can't. Choose your investments differently.
1604  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Master-P SCAMMER. I lost complete faith in this forum now. on: January 04, 2016, 08:23:39 PM
Still no dox. Why am I not surprised.
Everyone here is a scammer.
The scammers
the fake doxers
All of you are so silly.
DOX THE MAN ALREADY!

Personal details about Master-P are being released to people who had funds with him, when requested:

Since Master-P is choosing not to reply to my suggestions I am going to begin releasing his information to the victims. If Master-P is holding your funds, PM me with a transaction ID of the funds you sent him, and a signed message from that address (or other proof of transaction), and I will release his information to you. Individuals trying to get paid for sig campaigns don't bother, releasing the info to you is a security risk. Deal directly with your campaign managers or advertisers. If they don't pay you I suggest you leave them negative reputation until they do.
1605  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Poll to determine most popular ways to use bitcoin cold storage on: January 04, 2016, 06:04:19 PM
My cold storage of choice is powered by Armory. Trezor and Ledger are also definitely interesting, will probably try one of these in the future.
1606  Other / Archival / Re: Do you think bitcoins will disapear or become unused? on: January 04, 2016, 06:01:14 PM
The possibility definitely exists. If we discover another currency that works even better than Bitcoin or if Bitcoin develops in such a way, with such improvements that it can no longer be called Bitcoin, Bitcoin as we know it will definitely disappear or cease to be used.

1608  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Usable pruned wallet release date? on: January 04, 2016, 10:22:08 AM
No release date so far, only that it will probably come out in the next release Cheesy
1609  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Im sick of all these stupid Posts/questions about BITCOINS! on: January 03, 2016, 04:34:04 PM
i mean come on guys, LETS BE HONEST :

The Only reason for us to be HERE IS MONEY So why the bullshit ?.

Most of us may have ended up here because of money, but if you eventually stick to Bitcoin and this forum you'll soon realize that you're here for far more than money and you might end up not being here for money at all. It all depends if you truly believe in Bitcoin and want to see it succeed or not.
1610  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin merchant with zero fees on: January 03, 2016, 03:26:00 PM
You can also use BitPay or integrate Electrum on a website of yours. BitPay is free up to certain point and Electrum is completely free.

if its completely free, what is their revenue model?

If it's free, the revenue is either the user itself or there simply isn't anything to pay for. Lauda has already directed you in a correct way. I'd also advise you to read the Electrum Documentation Smiley
1611  Economy / Services / Re: [BIT-X.com] Earn Bitcoins by Posting | Signature Campaign on: January 03, 2016, 01:30:42 PM
So there's no cap in place? I thought there was always a post cap in these "emergency" situations. Also didn't receive full amount that was listed (and is still listed) on the bot.
1612  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: **Download the blockchain here, updated regularly ** on: January 03, 2016, 01:26:35 PM
OK, So there is really a reason after reinstalling my wallet on new PC I want rather download block chain from remote source than using wallet itself for this?
I still need huge bandwidth for it, still need good internet speed, is this way with torrents etc. any faster, even 1%?

Core devs say bootstraps are useless with most recent versions of Core, but OP clearly seems to disagree Cheesy It would be interesting to run tests on two equal machines on the same network or on the same machine, synced twice.

I'm inclined to believe in Core devs. But they don't own the truth either.
1613  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: **Download the latest bootstrap.dat file here, updated regularly ** on: January 03, 2016, 01:12:35 PM
Using the bootstrap.dat leaves out the index folder and other files which I think speeds up the client sync process.

Compared to what? Core 0.11.2 without bootstrap?

Gave him negative trust and reported his only post. Possibly impersonating HostFat too? Either way, I think he should just be nuked.
1616  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Happy Birthday Bitcoin! on: January 03, 2016, 12:23:04 AM
A great achievement indeed. A time to look back and see the mega impact Bitcoin has been having on our world and our lives... Here's to another 8 years of technical evolution and social/financial progress Smiley
1617  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mikie Tyson released a Multi Sig Wallet on Android a week ago on: January 03, 2016, 12:18:26 AM
he is really pro bitcoin, and he certainly seems switched on to the tech generation,

in the Wallet descrition he says Bitcoin will soon be the currency we use!

Maybe you mean the people who think for him are switched on to BTC and made him say that the currency of the future is Bitcoin... He's in it just for what they're paying him to appear on these Bitcoin related ATM's and apps.
1618  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: How long this transaction will take ? on: January 02, 2016, 07:42:49 PM
and with almost same fees than you but even less amount transfered...

The smaller the outputs, the longer it can take Smiley That's why the OP can still have some luck.

And while I was writing this, OP's transaction got its first confirmation.
1619  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: How long this transaction will take ? on: January 02, 2016, 07:38:21 PM
Most likely very soon, in the next few blocks.

Oh thank you, i hope so.

It wouldn't hurt to include a bigger fee, though. Also, you can see priority estimates here

Yeah I'm pretty new to bitcoin but I haven't ever heard of anything taking 4-5 days to confirm usually just a few hours.

Transactions can take a lot of time, especially if they don't fit the "rules" I've previously mentioned and if they have small fees like the one OP posted.
1620  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are more and more people having problems with exchanges? on: January 02, 2016, 07:33:19 PM
People have issues with exchanges because people put a lot of trust in exchanges... And because there are many ill intentioned people and because many become ill intentioned when they see too much money flowing in keys they control.

There are still a few exchanges that can be considered to be safe or at least trustworthy. However, I advise against holding funds even on those who have been giving proof of being trustworthy.
