801  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: [BitcoinMax.com] Closed on: September 03, 2012, 09:57:33 PM
Hi guys,

I have to admit that I'm slightly irritated about all this information transfer situation. I don't appreciate the fact that my account information was not transferred to pirate. I was willing to give him the infos.

I'm still interested in sending my account informations, and would like to know if there's a way to solve this problem. I understand the position of those who want to keep the info confidential, and I'm not interested in arguing about that. I would just like to have an option to opt in or out of this situation. This is still my money, and I'm going to accept the complete responsibilities of my actions. But having somebody else deciding for me prevent me from assuming my responsibilities. I don't want this to be on the shoulders of payb.tc, because if he makes the wrong move, all the blame is going to shift to him and we're probably going to dig deeper the mess everybody is already in.

If I lose my money, I want this to be by my own fault, not by somebody else actions.

Also, if I may suggest a solution for this. In Bitcoinmax, an option could be added in Account Settings about if the user is accepting to disclose the infos to pirate. Give a deadline (like 3 days) for people to make their choice (you can put "No" as default, I don't care). After the deadline, send the infos of those who agreed to pirate. No public fight and everybody can assume their own responsibilities of all that.

Thanks!

I read another post of yours, arguing about why you trusted in Pirate at first place... He have a good business model, GPUMax, have a great Bitcoin-OTC rating, a lot of people trusted him... So, after much consideration, I sent 100 Bitcoins to it through Bitcoinmax, believe, on day 17!...   :-@

Anyway, I think that this extra informations that Pirate is asking is NOT necessary, after all, Pirate already have all the needed information to repay back to its "investors", there is no need to give him more information, since he already have it.

BTW: PIRATE, WHERE ARE MY BITCOINS!!!???

Best!

802  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: Diminuição dos BTC para 25 até o fim do ano. on: August 31, 2012, 10:58:32 PM
Tenho duas duvidas:

805  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Litecoin be the first ASIC-proof alt-coin? on: August 25, 2012, 06:08:49 AM
Bitcoin can become ASIC-proof by just changing the hashing algorithm.  In either case you are talking about a breaking change.  It likely will never happen for Bitcoin because you will never be able to acheive enough of a consensus for the new fork to have value.   It may happen in Litecoin but that would simply mean that Litecoin is so worthless that nobody cares if you change the core hashing algorithm on a whim.

Still nothing is ASIC proof.  There are only two outcomes:
a) Litecoin remains so tiny that it isn't worth the NRE to develop ASIC miners (i.e. sub million dollar market cap, and stagnation forever)
b) Litecoin becomes large enough that it is profitable to develop an ASIC miner for that variant of scrypt

I was thinking that with Scrypt, there was no need to change de hashing algorithm to make it ASIC-proof but, well, never mind... lol
806  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Litecoin be the first ASIC-proof alt-coin? on: August 25, 2012, 06:07:21 AM

......

So what? You can make an ASIC that drives a DIMM socket or even a whole bank of DIMM sockets. It really isn't a rocket science.

You have answered my question...    =)

....

vectors 1, worksize 64, kernel poclbm - these are the defaults it will set if you set nothing and are best for 7970
gpu-memdiff -150, , intensity 9 (11 only on linux)
You cannot set memory to 250 on a 7970 with cgminer, only unofficial overclocking tools on windows can do this.

Thank you CK!

In that case do this first:
export GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS=1
and then you can set intensity to 11 as well Smiley

You just make my farm grow ~600MHash!! LOL
ASAP I'll send a small donation to you!!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

Hi!

 Is this the best for 7970's:

Code:
"intensity" : "11",
"vectors" : "2",
"worksize" : "128",
"kernel" : "diablo",
"gpu-engine" : "550-1000",
"gpu-fan" : "0-75",
"gpu-memclock" : "150",
"gpu-memdiff" : "0",
"gpu-powertune" : "0",
"gpu-vddc" : "0.000",
"temp-cutoff" : "95",
"temp-overheat" : "85",
"temp-target" : "75",
"api-allow" : "W:192.168.X.0/24",
"api-listen" : true,
"api-network" : true,
"api-port" : "4028",
"auto-fan" : true,
"auto-gpu" : true,
"expiry" : "120",
"failover-only" : true,
"gpu-dyninterval" : "7",
"gpu-platform" : "0",
"gpu-threads" : "2",
"log" : "5",
"queue" : "1",
"retry-pause" : "5",
"scan-time" : "60",
"temp-hysteresis" : "3",
"shares" : "0",
"kernel-path" : "/usr/bin"
?

 Or should I use MEM @ 250 and a different worksize, or is it fine?

Thanks!
Thiago

You guys didn't get it...

I heard that Litecoin Scrypt can become more memory intensive by just changing a variable, is that right?

By doing this, ASIC for Litecoin will become more and more a distant "dream"... I' m glad about this because I like my CPU/GPUs... Simple because I can play games with it, unlock cell phones, crack password... With ASIC, there is only one utility for it...  It suckz...

Guys,

 Can someone answer this to me?!

 I read don't know where that Litecoin can "fight" against ASIC by only turning itself into a more memory insensitive coin, by just changing a variable, is that true?

 Note: Sorry my bad English....   :-/

815  Local / Mineração em Geral / Re: [DUVIDA] BitForce BTF on: August 24, 2012, 01:56:11 AM
Salve galera,

Diluir a União.

Democracia é a maioria esmagando a minoria...

Esqueça da política... Este ramo da sociedade está para acabar. Incluindo os 3 Poderes e etc...

PELO FIM DA DEMOCRACIA!!!

Abx!
