1321  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: URGENT: Windows Bitcoin-Qt update on: March 17, 2012, 01:17:34 AM
about 3 days ago i was commenting on the language choice.
from a software architecture standpoint other languages than c++ would make more sense in such a sensitive area.

i am not suggesting that it should be rewritten. but i think it is very important that alternative implementations like BitcoinJ, multibit, armory, electrum exist.

The most important re-implementation of Satoshi's oroginal code, from my point of view, is Libcoin from Michael Grønager.
1322  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: SCAM - Bitcash.cz - Stole my coins - Don't join! on: March 16, 2012, 11:56:06 PM
Well to name just 2 recent issues:

A1pool - dissapearing with coins
bitclockers - fudging stats and organofcorti showing relatively accurately that overall outcome is minus for all miners.

If A1pool disappeared with coins, that would be a scam.

I don't know how bitclockers even outright lying about stats can be thrown into the same category when asked "What other mining pools are stealing coins from users?".

Just say what's on your mind.

"There is no better mining pool than p2ppool and anyone wasting their time on anything else is an idiot".

Matthew you have some real issues, just had to make note of that.

No this thread isnt about p2pool, in fact I think p2pool is shit Smiley

You obviously doesn't know/understand anything about P2Pool.

1325  Economy / Lending / Re: Loan Request - 180 BTC - Repay in 45 days - 200 BTC on: March 16, 2012, 09:34:34 PM
Guys,

I'm facing some personal financial problems and, my 1250W OCZ PSC of my biggest mining rig burn last Friday... Only today I was able to start it again, with a new 1250W Sapphire PURE PSU...

Also, I need to ask you guys more 15 days to repay... I just got a new job and my entire mining farm is now dedicated to this loan.

You can see my current hashrate here: http://mmpool.bitparking.com/user/MegaPool

I have 10GHash right now, as I said, 100% of my Bitcoins will come to you guys until we are done. And, I just got a new job, so, next month I'll buy some Bitcoins to accelerate this payment.

Anyway, let me expose all the loans that I receive on day 07/02/2012 and some subsequent days now.

 Loans that I receive:

 dollartrader    - 75 Bitcoins
 Turbor           - 50 Bitcoins
 brendio          - 45 Bitcoins
 BTC Guy        - 50 Bitcoins - Already repaid 60 Bitcoins - today
 BurtWagner    - 50 Bitcoins
 znort987        - 50 Bitcoins

 TOTAL = 320 Bitcoins

 Remaining = 320 - 60 + interest

I really need some more days to close my debt with you guys...

Hope to not bring problems to anybody because of this delay.

Just for the record, I also have the following coins:

 Litecoin - 20350.84651929
 Namecoin - 2152.46469746
 IXcoin - 26118.49673498
 I0coin - 51133.29194290
 Devcoin - 977449.40307503

So, if anyone wants, I can repay my Bitcoin debt using any of those coins. Also, I'm about to sell those (LTC/NMC) at BTC-e too...

Best Regards,
Thiago

For litecoin to live a relatively long life the algorithm should be made to NOT run on GPU's very well. However if this is done and it's kept open source I an assure you reaper will just be updated again.

This is essentially a war between the SLC backers and the LTC backers. Litecoin HAS been winning the war but with the deput of reaper (by the SLC backers) that is putting way too much LTC in the market. The price has been constantly dropping. If it wasn't for the mystery buyer that keeps buying sell orders up to .0012-.0013 on BTCE the price would be way lower.

Aside from this I only see a few things that can save litecoin.

1: Change the algorithm to be GPU hostile and change it to closed source.
2: Change the block reward to something lower.
3: Change the difficulty code so it's harder to get coins.
4: Community motivator to get projects running that support litecoin.

If none of these are done litecoin is going slowly whimper out.

Closed source?!?! You kidding right?!

No way I'll install a closed source at my computer, never.

I have only one closed source software running: AMD Catalyst.

Thiago, qual a sua expectiva pra chegada dessa dificuldade?

sobre a solucao da roda d'agua? Como tá isso aí? Quero ver hein, to na torcida.

Mmm....

Abx!

1328  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: A Complete Guide to P2Pool - Merged Mining (BTC/NMC/DVC/IXC/I0C) plus LTC, Linux on: March 14, 2012, 06:09:32 PM
You're welcome!!! ^_^

At the P2Pool window, look for the message: "Got merged mining"...

If you see this message, it is working.

If your P2Pool can not connect on the daemon passed with the --merged option, you'll see a huge error!

Anyway, merged mining within p2pool is still solo mining for the alt-chains, I mean, it will take time to find a Namecoin block, when you find one, you'll receive 50 Namecoins.

Bitcoin and Litecoin P2Pool is a pool as word says...

Forrestv in the future will implement real merged mining for alt-chains (I believe he will).

Best!
Thiago

Abx!

Your 1250W PSU is handling this 4 x 5970 smoothly!?

You do not follow all the instructions.

As your litecoin.conf says, you must add this to start you Litecoin P2Pool:

"--bitcoind-rpc-port 10332 --bitcoind-p2p-port 10333"

Cheers!

bitcoind getaccountaddress NOME1

ou

bitcoind getnewaddress NOME2

ou

bitcoin-qt -> Receive Coins -> New Address...

Talvez eu não esteja entendendo a sua pergunta... lol

Não sei como "ver" as chaves primárias dos endereços já existentes...  ^^

Anyone having issues with auto payment from EclipseMC in the latest hour or less?!
My latest auto-payment never arrived. 40 minutes and still waiting...
Just sent a PM to Inaba...  :\

Hi!

I have 15GHash and I would like to join GPUMax mining pool... Can I?!
 Thank you!

Best,
Thiago
p2pool is not satisfying for you?  Tongue

Yes, it is!! But, I'm in a huge debt with this community and, I can not handle variance under debt... P2Pool is too small these days... I honestly prefer a pool with at least 500GHash (like eclipsemc) or even bitparking (2.5% fee)...

P2Pool is the future, I'm with it! No doubt...

Anyway, I would like to try GPUMax to taste this new approach...  Can I pirateat40!?  Tongue

Thanks!
Thiago

If you're on the list you'll get to try it all you want when you get the invite. Smiley

Okay! My e-mail is already subscribed at gpumax.com. Waiting for my account...
BTW, a lot of people speak well about you! Nice work man!!  Cheesy

Best,
Thiago
