I've read it, with the same effort you could probably dial some planets with a Stargate...
I have no problems with cgminer on Windows, it runs fine and installing it and p2pool is much faster
Well, good for you! I had all world's problems with Windows (3.11, 95 and 98), so, never used it again... When I tried Windows 7, it frozen in one day of use... So, it is the same crap of the past with new icons... Did you have any benchmark to compare each other?

What has linux to do with p2pool? It runs it better, same as it runs any server software better than WinBlows from M$. Also, ThiagoCMC has written an excellent Linux guide for P2Pool setup. You're absolutly right! And thank you!!! ^_^

What has linux to do with p2pool? Simple: P2Pool is written in Python. Python is a native language of Ubuntu, Debian and any other professional Linux distribution. So, it was build for Linux! P2Pool for Windows is a workaround for me... lol

i've been learning ubuntu slowly. once i get a better command of it (or get cgminer to recognize my gpu's) i'l try it out
I can help you out... In fact, if you install Ubuntu 11.04 64 bits at your mining rig, and install TeamViewer6, I can set it up for you. Including Catalyst, SDK and the latest CGMiner...

2- O P2Pool CAN and SHOULD have more than 51% of the hashpower! That's it! If P2Pool owns, for example, 80%~100% of the hashpower, we will be much more safe!!!; 100% of the hashpower by single software solution is not a very good idea. Some bug or exploit can lead to a disaster. Yes, it sounds good, but 100% is not healthy for ANY single entity. I love p2p and support p2p. However tycho is very correct here. We should have many p2p pools. Tycho would you be willing to found a p2p pool as well? Thanks. Sure... I agree with that... In fact, was this that I mean... A lot of P2Pools, not only one...

I should have been more clear. It was directed at ThiagoCMC who kept giving me something I did not ask for. I'm waiting for a correct response and once the BTC is confirmed to be working I will send the coins. If not I will send them to you. Thanks.
I'm sorry... I tought that you knew what the "sendmany" Bitcoin command do... It will just consult the P2Pool dynamically to get the Bitcoin Address of all current miners and, send one-time donation/transaction to all miners simultaneously. If you are uncomfortable with this command, just send to me those 10 BTC and I'll resend it to the miners through that command. Thanks! Thiago

I can give you 50 BTC. I am at work so in about 6 to 7 hours. Would be nice when you have set up the miner for the repayment of the 20 BTC by then
Sure, I already have 7 BTC of those 20. Within a day or two, I'll repay your 20 BTC. I'm working on it right now. I just move all my miners to Bitcoin P2Pool, the coins are just arriving from my new pool... Last week the EclipseMC suffer with bad luck... :\ If you really want, I can point my miners to you as we already did in the past, no problem. Thanks!! Thiago
