Eu cheguei a utilizar o Phoenix durante alguns meses...

Reposting here:

I would love to see P2Pool with 1THash...

It is definitively the most awesome Bitcoin / Litecoin pool.

You do not need to trust in some third part to manage something so private.

That would be nice to have it fully integrated with Bitcoin/Litecoin clients... With automatic/dynamic sub-pools management... Or something like that, if needed... What about that?!

Cheers!

How to update?!

Just:

1- cd ~/p2pool ; git pull
2- stop P2Pool
3- start P2Pool

?

So you are afraid of ghosts. Since you can't give a specific complaint, this is what it boils down to.

Seriously, Holliday, why do you take this so personal!? Maybe you should take a ... HolidayWink

Because I've been trying to promote network decentralization for ten months.

We finally have a pool that can help accomplish it and you make a post, with no evidence, suggesting something is wrong with P2Pool, when it's simply variance.

So, show me evidence it's more than variance. At least make a lucid argument other than, "nasty (cryptographic) stuff".

I take it personally because I think Bitcoin can change the world for the better, yes I'm a fanatic optimist. I think it requires a healthy network to grow. I think a healthy network is something other than the network we see today for several reasons. I think P2Pool can have a large impact on that and change it for the better.

grep BLOCK ~/p2pool/data/bitcoin/log

* Got share!

grep GOT\ SHARE ~/p2pool/data/bitcoin/log

1546  Local / Mineração em Geral / Re: Guia Completo do P2Pool on: February 09, 2012, 06:44:51 PM

ThiagoCMC: I'm having trouble creating the bitcoin.conf. Help please!

Hi!!

To create the file just type these two commands logged at the Linux console:

 mkdir ~/.bitcoin
 nano ~/.bitcoin/bitcoin.conf

 type the file contents...

 * To save and exit hit Control+X Y <ENTER>

Best!

So, I'll do it at once. 1.5 BTC / day at a random time. With ~24H between each donation.

BTW, if people just come in to receive the donation and go out, how patron_sendmany works internally?! I mean, put a rule there to maximize more the old miners instead the new ones... Just to try to obtain an certain level of equilibrium... If you mine 24/7 at P2Pool, you deserve more from this promotion... But I don't know how to do that... lol

Maybe monitoring/logging the bitcoin/litecoin address age visible at patron_sendmany output?!

The patron_sendmany probably follows the same rules as block payout (except for the small miner lottery). So, I'm sure the dedicated P2Pool miners will be receiving the most benefit from the subsidies.

Okay... I was thinking about this fact too... Of course the patron is fair, after all, he is The Boss!! lol
What am I thinking about?!
1550  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: A Complete Guide to P2Pool on: February 09, 2012, 07:14:02 AM
1.5 Bitcoins (3 donations of 0.50) / day (~15 days)!

I would suggest it's better to donate the 1.5 Bitcoins all at once each day.

Having a bunch of small coins in your wallet only makes for more fees when you want to combine them in a spend.

Dividing them up won't make much difference anyway, someone new joining the pool can just wait for tomorrow to get a bonus!

You read my mind!

So, I'll do it at once. 1.5 BTC / day at a random time. With ~24H between each donation.

Just to try to obtain an certain level of equilibrium... If you mine 24/7 at P2Pool, you deserve more from this promotion... But I don't know how to do that... lol

Also, I would like to maximize the payments to the small miners! Wink

Is there some P2Pool option like "addnode" of Bitcoin?
Yes, -n
From the wiki:
Code:
  -n ADDR[:PORT], --p2pool-node ADDR[:PORT]
connect to existing p2pool node at ADDR listening on
port PORT (defaults to default p2pool P2P port) in
                        addition to builtin addresses
Or, is it okay to run P2Pool without forwarded ports?!
Yes again. You'll get 10 outgoing connections, which is plenty.

Thanks!!!

Fellas,

I am monitoring the hashrate of both P2Pools, for Litecoin and for Bitcoin...

I wanna see those hashrates go up, up, UP!!

 Come on!!

Cheers!

Litecoin P2Pool grow grom ~400kHash to 1000kHash!! iiiiihhihihihi!  Cheesy

Tomorrow (2012/10/02) I'll start donations to Bitcoin/Litecoin P2Pool subsidy!

1.5 Bitcoins (3 donations of 0.50) / day (~15 days)!

200 Litecoins / day (30 days)! Lets reach 3000kHash!! 5000kHash!!

Best!

Guys,

I would like to start a new P2Pool instance at the same subnetwork but, only one P2Pool will have the 9332/9327 ports forwarded to it.

Is there some P2Pool option like "addnode" of Bitcoin?

So I can "addnode=my-master-p2pool-ip" as an argument to my second P2Pool instance...

Or, is it okay to run P2Pool without forwarded ports?!

Thanks!

Guys,

 What this means:

Code:
2012-02-09 01:19:32.086496 GOT BLOCK FROM MINER! Passing to bitcoind! bitcoin: b12309dd48cc86f50788d7670d9745c7f25e53ddd61de7e76bb
2012-02-09 01:19:32.099157 GOT BLOCK FROM PEER! Passing to bitcoind! db1775d3 bitcoin: b12309dd48cc86f50788d7670d9745c7f25e53ddd61de7e76bb

 ?

Means that that block was mined by me?!  O_O

Cheers!

Ae!! O Litecoin P2Pool chegou nos 1000MHash/s!!  Cheesy
Amanhã 10/02/2012 começam as doações de 200 Litecoins por dia!! ^^

Abx!

Hi!

Steps 4 and 10 was upgraded.

Commands to show the blocks mined by P2Pool since you're in and to see when you got a share!

Cheers!
