1441  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [RELEASE] Liquidcoin (Speculation based) on: February 14, 2012, 03:40:01 AM
Hi!

 Is Liquidcoin alive?!

BTW, the command "liquidcoin listtransactions" does not work... Why?!

Where is the latest source code URL of it?

Thanks!
Thiago

1443  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt-chains based on Scrypt on: February 14, 2012, 02:46:53 AM
Guys,

What are the alt-chains based on Scrypt, like Litecoin, Liquidcoin... ??

Thanks!
Thiago

Tenebrix, Fairbrix, Litecoin, Liquidcoin.

Mmm... Seems the only rock-solid Scrypt based alt-chain is Litecoin.
Liquidcoin listtransactions command doesn't work... BTW, is Tenebrix/Fairbrix alive?!

Thank you!
Thiago
1444  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where is i0coin / ixcoin? on: February 14, 2012, 02:28:32 AM
I0coin:
 git clone git://github.com/kr105rlz/i0coin.git
This is ancient. See tiker's response for the correct location.

Thank you bro!!

I'm already running your version...  Cheesy

I'll update the P2Pool guide to enable i0coin merged mining too... ASAP...

1446  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solo Mining LTC on: February 14, 2012, 02:14:27 AM
I started off on the pps website you're talking about but I ended up making more on average at pool-x.eu. I'm averaging about 18khs and on litecoinpool I made about 13~14ltc a day and on pool-x I make about 20 per day.

I'm sure that you'll make much more at Litecoin P2Pool!!  Wink

Guys!

I just add the info about merged mining using IXCoin!

 Check it out!

Also, I'm trying to run i0coin but it does not work. Anyone have the source URL of i0coin?!

Cheers!
Thiago

I just find my first IXcoin, 96 IXC for me!  LOL

If this solution can be FULLY integrated with Bitcoin-OTC, using some IRC Library... It will be a killer app! Wink
BTW, it is open source, right?!
Ah! And it works under Linux... RIGHT?!?!  Tongue

The i0coin daemon does not work, I got:

i0coind: main.cpp:684: unsigned int GetNextWorkRequired(const CBlockIndex*): Assertion `pindexFirst' failed.
1454  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: A Complete Guide to P2Pool - For Ubuntu Linux (BTC/NMC/DVC/LTC) on: February 14, 2012, 12:56:02 AM
How does p2pool know the index/code/ID of each coin type in the list of merged mining hashes?

Does its call to get work for merged mining to the coin's daemon tell it that? As I don't see you telling those numbers in your example of how to start merged mining...

-MarkM-

When you use the P2Pool "--merged" option, it will do the job for you.

I'm working to activate merged mining for IXcoin and I0coin now just for fun... lol
1455  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where is i0coin / ixcoin? on: February 14, 2012, 12:42:17 AM
Hi!

 I found this two here:

 I0coin:
 git clone git://github.com/kr105rlz/i0coin.git

 IXcoin:
 git clone https://github.com/ixcoin/ixcoin

I'm using the correct sources for each?!

Thanks!
Thiago

1459  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hot to install litecoin-qt on Ubuntu or access/use it from the command line. on: February 13, 2012, 11:58:24 PM

...

Try to remove the line "daemon=1" from ~/.litecoin/litecoin.conf and start ltiecoin-qt again.

Excellent that worked.  Can crack on with my P2Pool litecoin installation now cheer's (as couldn't use the wallet from the command line).  Will send some LTC your way once I've mined a few  Grin

Good to know!!! Thanks!!
1460  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hot to install litecoin-qt on Ubuntu or access/use it from the command line. on: February 13, 2012, 11:07:43 PM
It won't start when I enter the command I get -

matt@matt-ubuntu:~/litecoin$ litecoin-qt
litecoin-qt: command not found
matt@matt-ubuntu:~/litecoin$

Try prepending "./" to the name of the executable:
Code:
$ ./litecoin-qt

Now I'm just getting the error message

~/litecoin$ litecoin-qt: Fatal IO error 11 (Resource temporarily unavailable) on X server :0.0.

HuhHuhHuhHuhHuh??

You need to be within the X Window System (a.k.a. GNome or Ubuntu Desktop)... The server does not have the GUI... Anyway, you can install it using apt-get / aptitude...

Yes I am in Xfce desktop environment just using the terminal as when I click on the qt executable in the folder the wallet graphic comes on the screen for a few seconds the just vanishes?  I tried the Qt creator SDK and get the following error -

/home/matt/litecoin/litecoin-qt exited with code 0

And when I try the command      ./litecoin-qt           I get the following error

-ubuntu:~/litecoin$ ./litecoin-qt
litecoin server starting
[xcb] Unknown sequence number while processing queue
[xcb] Most likely this is a multi-threaded client and XInitThreads has not been called
[xcb] Aborting, sorry about that.
litecoin-qt: ../../src/xcb_io.c:273: poll_for_event: Assertion `!xcb_xlib_threads_sequence_lost' failed.
Aborted
matt@matt-ubuntu:~/litecoin$ litecoin-qt: Fatal IO error 2 (No such file or directory) on X server :0.0.

When I try the command     litecoin-qt   I get     command not found

Try to remove the line "daemon=1" from ~/.litecoin/litecoin.conf and start ltiecoin-qt again.
