Hi!

Since day 27 feb 2012, the patron_sendmany stops working for me... Just now I take notice of it...

 Look:

need total argument. go to patron_sendmany/<TOTAL>

For both Bitcoin 9332 and Litecoin 9327 I got this...

 Any tip!?

Thanks!
Thiago

Please, someone help me!! How to use patron_sendmany these days?!
Read the error message Smiley

It's "patron_sendmany/<TOTAL>", not "patron_sendmany?total=<TOTAL>"

Well, I read that and it does not work... Before send this question, I already have tried a lot of ways... No one seems to work.

I already try that:

Code:
usuario@desk:~$ wget -O- http://192.168.10.1:9327/patron_sendmany/total=200.00 | more

So, how to use patron_sendmany with new version of P2Pool?!

Sorry for writing in English. My Portuguese is not yet good enough.

I am looking for someone who could buy for me a few things in Brazil and send them to Germany. The goods are not expensive (maybe 25 Brazilian Real) and should be easily available in a supermarket or so. I will pay for goods, shipping and efforts with bitcoins. Please let me know if you can help!

Obrigado!

BTW, I can help you out too... Let me know what do you need...

Best,
Thiago

I can help! Eu posso ajudar!

You should consider signing up as a Bitcoin Agent (who provides this same type of service).  There are none yet for Brazil.

1370  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Is there any interest in a hardware board which will allow remote power cycling on: March 04, 2012, 06:51:29 AM
I would like to buy one of this, definitively...

Sometimes, one or another mining rig just hangs... I know that cgminer is still "running" because I can access it trough its APT but, it is impossible to connect using ssh and restart my machine...

But, sometimes, I can access and reboot the mining rig using SSH and Linux Sysrq subsystem:

Code:
sudo -i
echo b > /proc/sysrq-trigger

This works more or like pushing the reset button of the case...

Anyway, this does not works all the time, forcing me to do the regular local power cycle.

It can be awsome if cgminer can run "echo b > /proc/sysrq-trigger" trough its API... So, even if machine is "out of ssh access" but, cgminer is still running (and machine still answer ping requests), we can send a command to cgminer do the restart job...

Best!

1371  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solid Coin Problem on: March 03, 2012, 11:20:04 PM
Easiest diversification plan in the world... mine with merged mining at BitParking http://mmpool.bitparking.com/pool btc + four alt-coins simultaneously.

Or wit P2Pool, merged mining with a lots of coins at the same time too...
1372  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [270GH/s] p2pool: Decentralized, DoS-resistant, Hop-Proof pool on: March 03, 2012, 11:17:08 PM
I don't think cgminer splits 1 single getwork across cards.  I am pretty sure it does 1 getwork per thread (so if you are running 8 GPU w/ 2 threads each it pulls 16 getworks).  That would be one useful optimization in cgminer.
Correct. cgminer really needs a work splitting engine, badly.
This is not remotely true. The only time you may have difficulty getting enough work is immediately after a longpoll, and that is precisely when cgminer splits work. Furthermore, with p2pool, your local p2pool node can generate enough work for 100s of GPUs and cgminer is not remotely a rate limiting component.

I really appreciate your work ckolivas!! CGMiner is AWESOME! Congrat!!!  Cheesy

Can I merge mine all the chains at the same time or is it just bitcoin and one other currency.

Yes, you can mine all at the same time.

Here at my P2Pool node, I have running Bitcoin, Namecoin, IXCoin, I0Coin, Devcoin with merged mining, at the same time.

And, for Litecoins, I have a second P2Pool instance... But not merged...

Thiago

Doest this setup let you merge mine all the chains listed above?  Also if you find a bitcoin block do you keep it or is it shared with everyone that is on P2P?  I guess my question is this like solo mining?

1- Yes;

2- No, yes, it is shared...

3- Yes, mining at P2Pool is like solo mining (as like you have 300GHash) with shared rewards...

Best,
Thiago

Looking for someone to PDF up a "Laymans guide to setting up your own bitcoin pool".

I am chipping in 3 BTC as a bounty, and hope more are interested in chipping in also.

Install and join your own P2Pool node.

I'm about to update that guide...
