hahahahaha.....

You seemed to have been on the verge of either a Mike Hearn ragequit or a Rosewater scurry to the cupboards.

Of course, an extreme and exceptional scenario would be to digress so far as to get roached..., surely we gotta nip such situations in the bud... because, really, we don't need no more roaches in these parts, if avoidable.....  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Exhaustion is my only excuse. Not to lay it all out here...but my father passed this last December. I have failed at dealing with that issue for far too long. It really boils down to this, now I am the eldest. I have always had someone to turn to and seek knowledge and wisdom from. Now that has changed, as all things do...I am the one that my family is turning too for that comfort now. While I do not call this a burden, it has taken awhile to adjust to the new load and reality.

I’m more concerned about the safety issues with the broken railing.
yuh he edits out nature's glories and leaves a health-and-safety hazard in a falling wedge shape just to rub it in.

+1 WOsMerits for both of ya.  Funny.

Bitcoin

Zooming out some.
Some regression lines that seem to fit the current trend. As with any predictions..its all about assigning probabilities along the most likely route. The lowest line I have shown here is the least likely imho..there appears to be a very defined support zone in the $6.5k range. If this support range is punctured I think it would be very short term bounce. The middle and upper lines are a more likely scenario with oscillation's between those ranges.
Still sitting above all of this is that green overall upward trend line that I think we would all like bitcoin to reacquire.

(-redacted-) killed my buddy yesterday in Islamabad. He continued to drive on red signal and it was entirely his fault, not of my buddy...

God bless his soul. He was a nice person.

I am so sorry for your loss. MVA's are usually tragic for everyone involved.

He'll be back.

We all come back.

Price rebounded off a downward trend line..I would expect a retest of that trend line soon.

Tera (or anyone else) - do you understand how Cointracking is accounting for the BFX hack?   I think it is screwing up my balances.
Not really sure..I have people that have people that take care of these things(/s)..but you might look around in here.

Sadly...I feel if I just give up on this thread.."they" win...   That being said, Ive had enough..stop feeding the trolls...and ffs stop quoting them. I actually am so fed up that today for the first time in literally years I blocked two accounts on here.

I am done with the fucking neo nazi bullshit...I am done with the little bug going on about metals..I am done with all of it..I am just done. You dont have to grow up but please grow a brain.

infofront   While I appreciate the light touch used in moderating here...a line has been crossed once to many times imo. Deal with it. Please.

RF....  +2 WOsMerits for the taint info, another great read..thanks.

Do you consider GDAX to be a legitimate charting source?  Is Bitstamp too old school?

From personal experience, I have seen bounces from both BFX and Bitstamp resistance breaking.

I prefer Bitstamp personally for charting and GDAX a close 2nd. The charting option at the actual GDAX site while robust and secure leave a lot on the table as far as customization of indicators and what I like to call frills.. e.g. changing colors, time frames and other visual candies.

Close up of the 'Stamp. We have breached a lower band of resistance and are consolidating nicely. Classic accumulation patterns on display.

Not a bad read for a lazy Sunday.

Abstract:
This report introduces the fundamental principles of the Blockchain focusing on its potential for the education sector. It explains how this technology may both disrupt institutional norms and empower learners. It proposes eight scenarios for the application of the Blockchain in an education context, based on the current state of technology development and deployment.

https://ec.europa.eu/jrc/en/publication/eur-scientific-and-technical-research-reports/blockchain-education

Europa Analytics..should we be scared?  Tongue  Nice info there RF..thanks.

Deep dive beyond bitcoin and what I think might be the greatest gift of this technology.

The long term benefits of this technology might be this...for the first time when we look backwards in time, at history if you will. We will have cryptographic proof that the information contained is not tampered with. This is such a simple statement that I hope you all take the time to truly understand the profound impact of what it is that I am insinuating. True wisdom comes with understanding the space that you are observing, by accurately "mapping" a space..you gain more understanding of it. Having a map that stays consistent over time is a game changer on so many levels I have a hard time wrapping my thoughts around it.
Of course the above begs the question.."How do we know what is put into the map is correct?"   Majority rules..consensus..all the tools that the World and democracy have will come to bare I am sure. Will there be disagreement? Of course..but strictly from a scientific perspective this is really amazing. To put these thoughts into practical application..take a experiment..what is needed is incredible accuracy. Knowing with out a doubt that all the variables are indeed congruent. What better tool to use than a blockchain? Chaining the data points insures that when and if you need to reproduce the environment you can do it with extreme precision.
What I am speculating on is most likely to develop on private chains not public ones like bitcoin..but who knows.

This ability to have accurate models..down to perhaps the sub-atomic level, leads me to believe that technology that has seemed like fantasy will become reality. Imagine for a moment a holographic model of yourself that is so accurate that you could digitize that information and then reassemble it at another point. I am talking teleportation alright..and if this seems a flight of fancy it is not. There is already some very intelligent people out there who theorize that we live inside a giant hologram already. People at the forefront are looking deep into the AdS/CFT correspondence and other aspects of the Holographic principle.
Bah, I am rambling now..   Exciting times indeed.

I just realized something as well..I write a large amount of words that are never published any further than on the preview pane...I cant help but laugh out loud. Hundreds of sentences that get retyped or reworded or just deleted..smh. Well..this time I am just spewing words and damn the torpedoes...full speed ahead Captain.

Psst..hey Goose..   28/4  Thanks!

Hello again.
Hope everyone had a chance to get out this weekend and enjoy themselves. I did..got to relax..unwind and disconnect...really needed it. Anyway..on to the subject at hand.
I see the Wall has done it's usual prolific disgorging of posts...some 25 pages or so. I will do my best to catch back up. I also noticed Mic has started another game...interesting. Good luck all.

Now..on to bitcoin.

Honestly haven't been following the news that much..but there has been some interesting developments imho. The biggest is news of funds being seized from the exchange Bitfinex. Some 400 million has been reportedly impounded by the Polish government. I have not seen much other information and have not bothered to dig deeper as it has had minimal impact on price imo.
News from India seem to be intent on implementing strict capital controls on the transmittance of digital currencies. The RBI has issued a recent statement that seems fairly draconian in scope imo. We will have to wait and see how this develops before something more insightful can be offered in way of a explanation.
Last but not least, Soros Fund Management has received apparent approval to trade cryptocurrencies. This comes not long after Soros made claims that "crypto" is a bubble.

3. https://cointelegraph.com/news/soros-fund-management-plans-to-launch-cryptocurrency-trading-report-says

On to some TA.

Looking at the OR daily chart..I would say a local bottom has been reached and we look to be heading upwards.

Perhaps a late Sunday Dump, Early Monday rebound still might be in the works..but at this point it is looking less and less likely. Market sentiment is extremely positive and is just waiting for a spark to ignite a rally.

Looking at the hourly...another fork in the road before us. A flattened MACD and negative RSI seem to paint a picture of us heading upwards. My personal opinion is that we are heading above $7.2K and that is going to turn into the new support level for a run at $8k+ this coming week.

It would be great.

While this is not directly related to bitcoin or the wall I think it worth reading imho.

This is a well written article..up to a point. A lot of bias is carried throughout the dialogue but I think overall its a decent perspective on globalization.

Anyway...I need to vacate..need to clear my thoughts. Time for a weekend sail I do believe.

This chart is absolute shit.. Complete personal bias on how I think the market is behaving. That being said..I do think you will be able to spot structures that have similar resonances to what I have indicated.

Take care at the Wall and be safe out there. #dyor

Good afternoon all
Situation is the same...$6.5k on the downside and $7.5k for the upside for indication for leaving the accumulation zone we have been sitting in for the last few days. Otherwise it's buy the dips when you can.

Who says those arbitrary lines form the correct channel?

Gentlemen do.

And terabera..I thought you were leaving, again.. Still need to accumulate more cheap coins? How much more time do you think you will need?  Just curious.

Semi relevant data.

Resistance is turning into support. Looking good Bitcoin.

Good morning all.

Bitcoin has finally climbed over the $7.2k resistance level that has been a feature since we dipped. We are sitting on the 0.382 fib and building a nice bulllish pennant for a possible next leg upwards. Better start digging out the 8k meme's..

Most of you probably seen this when it was published but if you have not I would encourage checking out this article by Jimmy Song.  Who has a great ability imo to express critical thinking in ways that are easy to understand and digest.

15 minute candle

5 minute is quite nice to gaze upon as well.

Looking at the accumulation between the last large candle and this one, should give one a good idea of what could happen as the week progresses.

In the time typing this up it looks like bitcoin is finding another gear. We are really close to what I would consider the confirmation of the bottom of this downtrend being found. The number I randomly have assigned is $7,333.18. Once passed this I feel a new support resistance zone could start establishing itself in the $7.5k to $7.8k range.

Good morning all

Now that the uncertainty is fading over Fool's day we can focus on the present and what the future may bring us. Bears are starting to grumble as the price has held steady around $7k. Most indicators are showing a bullish divergence that is taking us away from desired entry points. Just remember the dichotomy of trading..for every buyer there is a seller and vice versa.. When goals are not attained, bears must capitulate just as bulls do..
Just something to ponder imho.

This is whats going on. A liquidity pool is being filled, once that happens...Moon. Now this hypothetical pool might extend farther than what I have indicated but that is the gist of what I think the market is doing.
If you look closely at the volume you will see several large buys. I dont know how much more it has to look like a bottom to be a bottom.

this 'ol chart is really noisy now..but I am fond of it. This shows a desired bearish path but I really feel this option is fading by the hour. The little parabolic uptick I penciled in this morning is what I am most interested in atm.

I am starting to realize that the very obvious problem here in French Polynesia when it comes to crypto is that there is no bitcoin exchange here.

I am considering changing that. I will be talking to the heads of the three banks here in Tahiti along with regulators to get a feel for how much resistance I will run into if I put up an exchange.

If all goes well, are there any open source solutions out there to give me a template to get started on setting up an exchange? It would seem that with so many exchanges being hacked there would be some open source out there so more eyes can be on it.

There are a few options for OS exchanges..   I would make sure you have at least one full stack engineer who is competent and also trustworthy before attempting anything. ymmv.

Good afternoon all.

Bitcoin has had a nice rebound this morning to bring us out of the desert of despair back towards the 7k mark. We might test this level at 6.9k as shorters try to scalp some profits I believe but the trend upwards has begun.

Posting this because..well...I like rockets. :p

It has merit that is for sure. FA can be a important tool to use in determining probabilities. Really the only "chart" needed it this one imo. Not many coins for sale on the open market and a whole lotta fiat sitting on the sidelines waiting to enter.

3980  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 31, 2018, 03:35:17 PM
Good Morning all.

As we close out the month of March bitcoin has been hovering around the $7k mark. All indicators are telling me that a downturn is going to be short lived. The numbers just do not add up when looking at the overall picture to support a extended Bear market. That being said I do believe there is a window between now and around the middle of April where we could see a new yearly low established. The longer this goes without happening the less likely it becomes as new money and users are flooding the cryptosphere at a truly astonishing rate.

As for this weekend I would expect a local rally upwards to test resistance at $7.2k as full moon madness takes over the markets. This could in turn develop into something epic if FOMO takes hold. If the market goes the other way...I would expect support in the $6.5k area and more at $6.2k with strong rebounds if those levels are touched.

I am putting paper wallets inside eggs this year for the kids and grand kids, and some candy ofc. I think this will be a good way to introduce them to crypto and how to start saving long term.
Have a Happy Easter weekend everyone.

Do your own research and buy the dips.
