Why can't you send? What is happening when you try to send coins?

Let me guess...Transaction Creation Failed?

Block chain has seized on block 6000 at the point of POW/POS switch over. Network weight total has been 0 since day one and still is.
2742  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ECASH]E-Money Advertising Revenue In Wallet | 8% Daily Stake for 21 days on: March 01, 2015, 04:54:23 PM
Well I just checked a few basic things in their source, and I must say...this is written very poorly

  • Decimals are coded incorrectly
  • Comments in git are inaccurate
  • Stake rewards are based on a 365 day calendar and do not calculate for leap years
  • Fees are improperly written
  • Trying to limit moneysupply in the wrong spot
  • Minimum stake age is not what is written in the OP

I got a PM to check this code out and without reading the thread, my guess is coins won't send properly and it most likely isn't staking correctly

Conclusion: Use fucking testnet before you post shit

Thanks for taking the time to assist the community with this overview and parting with your staking knowledge. Your help is much appreciated to have shed light on the issues and provide clarity to those holding coins that cannot send it due to the block chain that seems to have seized.

having forked a coin before i see one step no one has done testing

If the chain is in fact seized up, then it looks like the dev did not listen to the recommendations on source sent to him earlier today by certain members of the community.
2745  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ECASH]E-Money Advertising Revenue In Wallet | 8% Daily Stake for 21 days on: March 01, 2015, 04:09:19 PM
So.. we give up on this or what

There is nothing wrong with a stop loss approach to minimize losses and minimize risk. Sell off if the price falls below a certain threshold. If it falls lower and problem is fixed buy back. If the problem is fixed and you want to get back on the train then buy back in if you have a bullish view on the coin. The high risk approach would be to wait it out. The rewards can be the highest but the losses can also be the highest if it completely crashes. It all depends on your risk appetite.

No network weight for POS. No new blocks and stuck at 6000?

The dev must make sure that the code is proper this time in order to ensure a smooth transition after block 6000, otherwise it will be a **** up. If things go well it could go very well but if things go bad it could go very bad.
2748  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CO2X] CO2ExchangeCoin - A Tradeable Carbon Credit Ecosystem on: March 01, 2015, 02:36:47 AM
Pity about the X11 algo. Time and time again it gets hash raped by the FPGA farms leaving most coins in the hands of one or two miners. This is contrary to the principle of broad based distribution. It will be too difficult and expensive to mine the coin after the first few hours.

Then I previously warned about doing a coin swap for Greencoins because this will put 6m coins into the market instantly. I see the warning was not heeded and the coin exchange is going ahead. The Greencoin holders have lots of bags that they currently cannot do anything with. As soon as the new coin hits the exchange and the price goes over 167 sats, they will dump the 6m. Some may even dump earlier because at least they can get something out where currently they can not get anything out. The 6m can almost be seen as a premine, with the premine in this case being handed to the public with no anti-dumping control like escrow. I cannot see any economic justification of doing a coin swap. Greencoin holders should rather take the hit on the nose and move on and start this coin from scratch.

The above means that there will be two highly concentrated groups of holders that will have the same objective and that is to sell to make a profit or to get something out. This gives a high risk of a dump fest and sell pressure that will kill the coin. I would suggest that you scrap the idea of doing a coin exchange and that you use a different algo than X11/13/15.

If you carry on like planned, fine, it is your coin, and there is a chance that you can actually pull it off successfully e.g. if the large farms look the other way or if the old coin bag holders all decide to hold and not to sell for at least 10 months or so. After doing a risk assessment though, the chances of the above scenario playing out is higher.

excellent write up one of best ever I have seen on BT

Maybe you didn't notice but I completed the Paper wallet as part of the roadmap. The roadmap is a indication of what will happen with the coin, there are always some separate projects that can be consider. The ICO money was good in a bear marketplace but it was also not great. With $4,000 you are not moving mountains and it needs to invested in the right way. Some people suggested to pay exchanges to get listed, that means that out of those $4,000 $1,000 is gone. This was not a $50,000 ICO that give you some room to take more risks . A promotion team also cost around $1,000. Online promotion via different sites between $500 - $1000 per WEEK!!!!

Further topics of the roadmap will be completed with the man power that i have at the moment. With the man hours that are available.

Chill. It was just some free advice.  Smiley

yeah true, but he said he would place a buy wall at c-cex. Just wondering why he changed his mind.

Did he not put one at some point which got chowed?

UPDATE:

Code:
As you can see the 3d game in appstore, in mobile game, many works and times is needed.

As usually, for making 3d game, it will take over $10k in similar game like Temple run.

The creation of a 3D game has been put on hold, as the price will be around $10k and ICO amount is a lot less, it even doesn't cover half of the game cost.

I will check the bounties and modify the bounties were needed. As this game cost too much money,I will check alternative how our developer can spend time on.

His earning rate is $20 and i have bought him for 50 hours. So lets see what can be done in those 50 hours. More information will be available when needed.

Strategy 101:

1. Create a vision for the coin of what it aspires to
2. Create your mission statement of what the coin is about currently
3. Do some visioning - what does the environment look like within which the coin operates in 1 month, 3 months, 6 months and 1 year from now and what does the coin need to survive in that environment. Be way-out and outrageous in your thoughts. If you can vision that then you have the end goal. Then you just need to fill in the gaps of how to get there.
4. Determine business objectives. What does Riskcoin need to do to achieve its vision.
5. Break down how to get to your end goal (vision as well as achieving your business objectives) into strategic actions. Each goal must be clear and measurable.
6. Prioritize your actions and determine what is the most important.
7. Spend your money (ICO funds) on the items that have been prioritized in point 6. I am sure a 3D game is not the top priority, which means that you probably did not do any of the other steps and your "plans" were probably things that sounded good at the time.

The only thing is watching the boards this weekend is like watching paint dry. Seems like there will be lots of activity on a couple of alts from Sunday evening through Monday and Tuesday and you can almost here the bow's string being stretched on these coins.
2753  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] RISKCOIN - Scrypt - HARD FORK SUCCESSFULLY IMPLEMENTED! TAKE A RISK! on: February 28, 2015, 01:31:42 PM
Only 1 BTC to hit ICO price again, and 5 BTC to hit 40000sats. Mining is so difficult that miners cannot dump their coins below 70,000 sats. I will enter RISK again after i sold my SMAC ICO coins Cheesy, i sold RISK to get in SMAC and i will buy my RISK again (even cheaper) with the profit that i took on SMAC.

Yes, DEV needs to be more active...

Agreed. A small thing can be a catalyst to trigger a run, but then it is not based on fundamentals but on speculation and will go up and then down.
2754  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] WildBeastBitcoin [WBB] now on Bittrex, no PREMINE, Honest ! - the wild one on: February 28, 2015, 12:18:05 PM
WHY should I buy this coin?  Grin

You have to understand a fundamental principle regarding this coin. There is a difference between asset backing and being able to buy something.

The OP states that there will be silver coins made that can be bought on their website. I assume this means that the coins can be bought with BTC or Credit card. This method is not asset backing. On the other hand, if a coin is asset backed in the proper sense of the words it would mean that there is value that the coins can be exchanged for at a certain rate specified and that rate can be calculated at total value / total coins. If is this guaranteed rate that then gives the coin a value.

If the dev's intention is that the silver coins can be bought with BTC or anything non-WBB, this means that the silver coins become just another commodity that can be purchased at whatever the price of that the coin is on the exchange and the coin goes in free float. If the dev quotes the silver coins at a fixed price in WBB without looking at the coin's price in relation to BTC, then it becomes closer to asset backing because whoever pays the WBB as quoted will get a silver coin that they can sell for fiat.

Before anyone jumps up and down with joy about silver coins, let the dev tell everyone how the silver coins will be used to peg the value of WBB.

Hi jc12345,

Well said and I could have not said it any better.
What I am able to tell you is, that the "Silver Collector Coins" can only be acquired with WBB. The starting value will be set in WBB. BTC & CC cards can not be used to acquire the coins.
What will be shown also is a market value in CHF with conversion an estimate to USD.

More info will be released within the next 7 days (latest by the 07.03.2015 at 2100 CET) Smiley On that date all will be announced what the next steps of WBB will be Smiley

Thank you all for your support so far.

Your WBB Dev

This is very good to hear. In order to pull it off you will need some deep pockets to finance the silver for the coins or already have a bag of silver in order to make the cashflow work. You seem confident which means that you must have deep pockets then.  Smiley

If there has not been an upward rise in price by now the risk is increasing that it might not later either. The current conditions and future conditions in a few days are exactly the same, except for more coins being in circulation in a few days. Miners are not dumping so it is not dumping that causes the price to remain low. POW mining does not seem to play a role here. There is no magic condition that will kick in with the end of POW like a super staking percentage or some or other material change in behavior of the coin that creates a demand. It seems that everyone is holding and waiting for the price to rise so that they can sell. Logic therefore says that if all have the same view and approach, the opposite will happen. The only variable that can be introduced apart from a hard fork to change specs are the plans for the coin. The OP plans are a bit iffy and need some oomph if the price needs to be raised based on that alone assuming the current conditions remain the same. Quality of the plans are however strongly aligned to the amount of time and dedication the dev can give to the project. There is of course the possibility of a pump at some point based on hollow hype of a few known names with the resultant reduction in price as ICO holders sell, which might create some opportunity.

It seems like the way to have gone with this coin was not to participate in the ICO, but to have entered the market when it went down to 10k and to have exited at the peak around 30k. I doubt that the ICO price will be materially passed but I really do hope it happens for the ICO holders and that at least 50k can be reached. Things can go on a run for no reason very quickly - crypto is a strange place and stranger things have happened.

Very good start Angry No working pools. Where we lost ocminer ?
No pools = no miners = slow death

I'm not sure, if anyone knows of any X11 pools they can ask to list us?

You could try ipominer with a dedicated port.

So, I'm just trying to ensure I'm correctly set up for staking, as I've never staked a QT wallet before.

I downloaded the new link that some of you provided in the latter part of this thread. I opened the new exe, closed the program (wouldn't let me replace wallet.dat w/ it open), then replaced the wallet.dat and have now unlocked wallet for staking.

Am I good to go?

Thanks..

Follow these steps. Replace all references from 10K to emoney.

Just buy some greencoins and exchange them. No need to mine or waste resources on mining as there will be 6m coins on the market shortly.
