1981  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Safuu continues to decline, what causes it? on: May 02, 2022, 11:53:30 PM
Every altcoin market depends on bitcoin. With safuu same is the scenario, and there is nothing specific about the market drop with safuu. Even if there is some failure, that isn't revealed to the community. It has got good trading volume, so if it is really a potential project recovery will happen when market turns bullish. Even now what the particular token is undergoing doesn't look like a massive downturn in my view.
1982  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Legal Tender in Panama on: May 02, 2022, 11:41:31 PM
The Latin American country approved bitcoin along with eight other cryptocurrencies as legal tender within the country. Accepted cryptocurrencies include BTC, ETH, XRP, LTC, XDC, EGLD, XLM, IOTA, and ALGO. Panama isn't the first Latin American country to adopt bitcoin, there is more news mentioning the adoption of Panama to be more potential than the one by the Latin American country El Salvador.

It is stated that El Salvador, which only recognizes Bitcoin (BTC), Panama is introducing regulations for a total of nine cryptos, including Bitcoin which makes it more effective. As part of the regulation there is no capital gains tax. Businesses in Panama have been given the access to accept bitcoin and it isn't mandate according to the regulations. More good things happening in Panama and the same needs to get spread around.
1983  Other / Archival / Re: Why has bitcoin adoption failed in El Salvador? on: May 02, 2022, 10:31:01 PM
Most of the users believe that the implementation isn't done in the right way. I don't know how far this is true. As per me, the government took a strong decision and working on it amidst opposition from small group of people. It needs time, because it is not like the traditional money. Based on the volatility the executives need to take decisions, if not a small mistake could cause a big destruction in its economy. It isn't a failure, it is at its infancy.
1984  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying BTC vs Mining it on: May 02, 2022, 09:32:30 AM
only few people will go with mining, i would prefer to just buy and hodl to avoid stress and many things required which if care is not taken you wont make too many meaningful profits. this is why i go with buying.
The exercise of mining is something that can be counterproductive, because everyone wants to mine BTC and it is logical, the only thing is that mining BTC is very difficult, most people choose to mine ETH, Monero for its simplicity and for not compete against the big BTC miners, however there are many ways to mine using few resources or sometimes even the same laptop because there are ways to do it.

If we focus on mining altcoins and buying BTC later, for me it is a winning formula, because you can mine altcoins and then buy BTC, it would be very smart.

Well said, most of the miners go for altcoins mining and then buy bitcoin with it. This will increase the profitability and also the difficulty is quite low compared to bitcoin which requires more hash. Even with altcoins the difficulty keeps increasing which requires addition of GPU to keep the mining profit stable. Apart from this it is good to invest on low price altcoins for specific time period. Once good profit is being booked, invest the profit on mining setup for regular earning.
1985  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Dogecoin become the new BTC? on: May 01, 2022, 11:46:45 PM
Elon must knows what he his doing, I still believe Elon musk in Cryptocurrency just for his own personal interest, he his just trying to boost his company, he is not in Cryptocurrency for good.
He tricked us before, people make-believe of him that he supports crypto but it was just Doge he needs to pump and make benefits out from it. Now, it makes people think that Elon Musk has no such influence in crypto. Dogecoin won't have that huge pump anymore, Elon musk can't move it anymore as investors won't take the bait. And I'm not going to say that he uses the Twitter platform to promote crypto again as he was once known by it, people won't believe him.
As said people won't follow Elon Musk, because they knew well about his plans of making money. He never intends to support people and as a beginning of money making out of Twitter he have begun the blue subscription that can be paid with dogecoin for special features access. Elon Musk also Believes dogecoin can solve Twitter's spam bot, and this is being proposed by billionaire Mark Cuban. When some real-time usage is added there is chances of growth, than a hyped growth.
1986  Economy / Economics / Re: One nation one currency... on: May 01, 2022, 11:17:14 PM
We can't expect the World to get united and form an one nation, one currency policy. Just think of a country, it can be any country around the world. From one country it have got evolved as a separate one. This has happened as a result of power and keeping humans as slaves. So, an one nation one currency is a failed one. If people are united, then instead of money there will be exchange of commodities. If money is used surely then the problem begins.
I understand your point of view, however, we could create an entity that would control the issuance, distribution and maintenance of that currency. I think it would solve most of the problems with this proposal.
No, the problem won't get into conclusion. If every country have agreed for the one nation one currency formula, then the countries people will demand money according to what they have hold earlier. This once again lets the accumulation of wealth within specific region and creates inequality in wealth distribution. Right now we say America is rich, after one nation one currency we say southern part is rich.
1987  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are new bitcoin users early or late to the party? on: May 01, 2022, 11:10:48 PM
If we think that we're late to the usage of bitcoin, then it is wrong understanding about the market. According to me, the market will showcase everything available. It is us to decide and buy it. The market is bullish for a long and now it has turned bearish. Probably this trend will continue for some time period. So, users can use it to fill their bags.
1988  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dogecoin 🐕‍🦺 1$ possible in 2022 or not? on: May 01, 2022, 06:58:05 PM
Dogecoin have already reached a maximum of 0.73$ which is very near to the $1 mark. The entire crypto market is manipulative. Recently Elon Musk made a tweet in connection to dogecoin, but there is no change in the market. That happened as a result of people keeping calm and not getting into FOMO/panic. Now Elon Musk have acquired Twitter, now if he make a plan of tipping tweets with dogecoin surely dogecoin will bounce. So, in my belief dogecoin will reach $1 but it isn't near.
1989  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are Your Kids Aware Of Bitcoin? Teach Them. on: April 30, 2022, 06:34:18 PM
I'll introduce bitcoin to my kids at the right age. Right now my sister's kids are in the age to listen, but if we say them about bitcoin it looks like something different to them. Right now the kids are visually observing the nature and the animals, maybe the next thing will be towards the gadgets. By that time I'll try to give some learning about money and not about bitcoin. Surely kids won't gets interested at an age below 15, until then it is good to leave them have the best days of living without thinking anything happening around.
1990  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin continues to decline, what causes it? on: April 29, 2022, 06:30:33 PM
Hey Guys, talking about my Title above and talking about Bitcoin. Basically Bitcoin is the only coin that is in great demand by people who plunge into the world of Cryptocurrency, even very many people are looking for a way and looking for ways how they can get this Bitcoin, of whom there are those who do Mining, Trading maybe is also included, maybe Bitcoin investment is also included, here we all know about this Bitcoin price, in the past few months Bitcoin price ranged at $ 63k.

Talking back about my discussion above, in the past few days I saw Bitcoin is experiencing a continuous decline in value, what is the reason? and is this the beginning of its destruction? and do you think all Bitcoins will recover with a comeback?

Thank you <3

The FED is increasing the interest rates lately and that's creating fear in the markets. That's the main cause. If the rates rise too much, the economy will stop and since bitcoin moves with the markets for a long time, if the economy stops, bitcoin will also go down. Bitcoin is correlated with the markets now. It used to be an independent asset but those days are long gone.
As the market is fluctuating between $39k and $41500, there is fear among the users that it could fall low anytime. As a result the greed and fear index of the market is at the worse. This is also a key factor for the short term bearish move. Along with this price have fallen down to the 50 day moving average. This shows that the market will retest $37k and the low bottom seems like $35k for now.

1992  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador has become the first country to make #Bitcoin legal tender! 🇸🇻 on: April 28, 2022, 07:08:10 PM
El Salvador President Nayib Bukele have come up with more predictions for the year 2022, almost everything looks to be on the postpone level. The major prediction comprises of bitcoin price reaching $100k. Two other countries adopting bitcoin as legal tender. Bitcoin being a major issue in US elections. Bitcoin City construction, volcano bonds and surprise at the Bitcoin Conference.

Among all that's been mentioned price movement could happen. One more country Central African Republic have adopted it as legal tender and Honduras SEZ there is adoption of bitcoin as legal tender. About the election, there is no big news. Bitcoin City and Volcano bonds seems to be postponed as there is no planned profit. About the bitcoin conference, President Nayib Bukele wasn't able to attend due to some fights happening within the country. So, we can expect all that are in the postponed phase to make a big change in the future.
1993  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New York State Assembly passes ban on new BTC mines that don't use green power on: April 27, 2022, 06:43:43 PM
I take it on the positive note. If the State is environmental friendly and wants to safeguard the environment it should impose similar law over every sector. Maybe from then onwards this can happen. For now the governments have realised that the future of monetary system is bitcoin. So, whatever the measures taken should last for longer time period without causing any hazard to the environment. In such a note this step has been taken and this will help bitcoin network overcome the common complaint that bitcoin is not green.

1996  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Women's Day Wishes to all Women Bitcoiners on: March 08, 2022, 04:51:56 AM
We have been encountering a big difference between the number of men and women in the cryptospace. Simply the blockchain/cryptocurrency market is termed to be male dominated. With time the participation of women have been increasing. As per data from Google search I found the women in blockchain technology to be 12% and I'm not sure to what extent this is true. Same as that 41% of women in crypto are traders and the rest just keep hold for long term.

Some of the facts

About a quarter of Robinhood's crypto investors are Women
Less than 5% of crypto entrepreneurs are women
15% cryptocurrency traders are Women
25 - 44 age group Women constitute more than 80% of the cryptocurrency investment.

I request all the Women Bitcointalk users to share their stories of getting into the cryptospace.

Edit : More facts to be added upon search

1997  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin Crash in The Next 2 Weeks? on: March 04, 2022, 09:16:09 PM
None know about the market for sure. But, what happened over the start of the month is the result of increased usage and more inflow of funds. Slowly things could change and now thats what happening with the market.

The global market doesn't make a big change over the market, but there'll be some impact as things are tied indirectly. As a result we've been experiencing slight change downwards and isn't very steep, it is taking place gradually.

1999  Economy / Economics / Re: Understanding Putinīs Russia economic capabilities on: March 01, 2022, 11:31:12 PM
Putin is taking Russia to the old Soviet rule. Now he is not into state of growth, but he's addicted to power. This is what it looks like based on the GDP of Russia. No country have given hands to Russia. He's willing to make the Soviet Union again and just because Ukraine was ruled by Russia in the past it doesn't mean they always need to be in control. Every country have got its sovereignty, culture and policies. When there arises conflicts, it needs to be discussed and a solution needs to be made rather making war.
2000  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Binance is refusing to block Russian customer's crypto wallets. on: March 01, 2022, 10:09:37 PM
Source: https://www.cnbc.com/2022/02/28/binance-will-not-block-russian-accounts-after-ukraine-request.html

Binance is refusing to lock account belonging to Russian customer's, what is your take on this? I believe that this might be a better move due to Russian Citizens that don't desire war still being able to move their Roubles to crypto for safe storage.
I find this to be good, because a small portion of the population wants war. The majority are protesting against the decision of the government. In such situation the entire population getting affected out of the sanctions from different organisations will ruin the life. But, there is now other way to end the war. However the decision will help the users who keep hold of cryptocurrency, but to move rubles it is quite hard as banking transaction support is very limited for now.
