1761  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Strong Hands Are Buying on: July 25, 2022, 08:25:38 PM
The drop is always relative and depends on the moment you enter the space. Imagine you've never heard about bitcoin and join the forums in April or May this year to learn about bitcoin. You wouldn't care much about the drop, on the contrary, it would be a nice opportunity for a newcomer who comes in with some fiat to buy at 20k and next month the price is already at 22 or 23k. You'd be ecstatic, while people who came in last year might feel exhausted after months of downtrend.
Over proud expected when entering investment with bitcoin on higher price and make them blame how bad thing happen later, exactly with beginner and first time know about bitcoin after seeing many investor reach much profit, they don't know when the expert investor entry and buy back bitcoin, but many people actually with new investor made mistake when investing. Right now many of them realize what happening with bitcoin investment after price drop. Can't be strong hands with bitcoin investment when entering with expensive values because you don't have other source or passive income, maybe different what did by El Savador president because he still have other fund for investing again in bitcoin when price drop.
The case of El Salvador is somewhat different, for me Bukele is a man worthy of admiration because he has withstood much criticism from everyone, in the countries, in different organizations they have turned their back on him just because he believed in bitcoin, his own people he has turned his back and that some bitcoin reaches know, I hope that bitcoin rises, not only so that things go well for him, but also to show those who are unbelievers of bitcoin that this is the safest currency and action that can change their lives.

The story is different, because the President Nayib Bukele have taken an action that is completely against the thoughts of most of the users. Many opposed the decision of Nayib Bukele announcing Bitcoin the legal tender, but he's strong in his decision and started working on it. Even now when the market dropped down to $19k he made a buy of 80BTC
1762  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Sell or keep holding HEX? already gained 50x on: July 25, 2022, 07:17:44 PM
Once it gained 50x, it should be the right time to sell. To be honest, if I have some HEX, I will sell all of them if they can rise 50x. HEX isn't a top coin, the price won't always increase and we don't know how long it will survive. Rising 50x is quite enough to take profit, better to secure the profits and move our funds to top coins. There are too many top coins at cheap prices, why do we need to hold HEX again?  Wink

Agreed, there is always a difference between the top coins and rest of the coins. As OP have already had a 50x growth on the investment, then it is time to book the profit and wait for an opportunity to buy at a lower price. If not it is time to take the profit and move the profit into some leading cryptocurrencies in the market. As mentioned, these won't show similar signs of growth throughout. So, it is good to make use it at the right time.
1763  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are we gradually approaching towards the end of Bitcoin? on: July 25, 2022, 06:46:40 PM
Often we get to see such news and these incidents of celcius, Luna are part of the market. It is our own understanding whether to take into consideration and end our participation into the market or just develop trust over the bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies that are good. It doesn't make sense to think of bitcoin towards the end. Always we can see the market experience such moves, but it should strengthen us and not develop negative thoughts over bitcoin.
1764  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Watford Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: July 25, 2022, 06:25:09 PM
Congratulations to Stake and their team for reaching the 100 billion bets milestone! There are really a lot going on behind the scenes that people do not know about, so I want to thank Eddie and the marketing team and the support and mods and developers and site admins for all their hard work.  Wink

We know Stake.com has fought many battles with DoSS attacks and scammers that are constantly trying to exploit loopholes, but they still managed to keep the site running.....  Grin    Well Done, now let's see if we can reach the next milestones ==> a Trillion bets! or a quadrillion...then a  quintrillion or a sextillion...!!!!

100 billion is a number that's hard to comprehend.  Absolutely amazing milestone!  The work stake has done to form partnerships and stay operating at a high level can't be understated.  This team has partnered with some of the biggest names in entertainment, grown their presence here with an ever evolving signature campaign, and now you can see Stake hats and t-shirts all over YouTube thanks to their advertising agreement with the Nelk Boys.  I'm impressed with what they've done and am watching to see how big this thing will grow.  Congratulations Stake!
Yes, the growth is well planned and the team is running on it. The partnering have taken place not only with entertainment teams, but with professionals. The success have come through their continuous promotion, brand promotion, sponsoring sports events. Stake is gonna grow big, already it is on the top among the cryptocurrency accepted gambling platforms.
1765  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finland sold 1,900 BTC, for a good cause on: July 25, 2022, 05:50:43 PM

Bitcoin could be something amazing, bitcoin could be used to elevate the whole world but unfortunately it has no backing gets seen as a bad thing. There is no doubt that it would be a scary thing to invest the whole worlds economic infastructure, but at the end of the day if we could not do that, then we would have to at least use the best of this situation, it may not be the worlds greatest thing, but it is at least something as decent as we could hope for, and that would be like getting full-time crypto job instead of a fiat paying one, or like this donation, or whatever else you could think of that would make the world better by using bitcoin.
The potential of bitcoin is big. The realisation about the market isn't found among all levels of people. There are people who have a misconception about bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. This will change slowly through such donation and charity done through bitcoin. This shows bitcoin can be used for good and bad, which is upto the user and not on its purpose. Finland have showcased how good bitcoin can be used, when there are illegal things happening with bitcoin and cryptocurrencies.
1766  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: July 24, 2022, 11:49:08 PM
~
Axar Patel made the right move and scored 64 runs in 34 balls. He is playing an ODI after a long break for years. He have mentioned we have played similar way on IPL. Nicholas Pooran have said the Spinner was the last focus, but we weren't able to take his wicket.
Axar Patel is playing this ODI series after a 5 year gap and he made his mark with the bat in this match which was incredible. I thought India lost the match when Shreyas Iyer lost his wicket and then the mix up of Sanju Samson loosing his wicket and i had no hopes that India would come back in the match and the odds were huge during that period and Axar Patel played one of the best innings i have seen in a no hope situation. Hats off to the lower order players.
This is real cricket, because whenever the top order falls most of the time we'll shut down the TV. In recent days the match used to go till the end as the lower order players have begun to show their ability of batting and change the match. As said there is no hope over the players, but Axar made it happen.
1767  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: July 24, 2022, 11:16:32 PM

I think BCCI will remain like this for many more years because the craze of IPL is growing not only in India but abroad too. If BCCI is able to launch WIPL and if it is a success like IPL then BCCI will be unstoppable. They are already controlling ICC and all other boards do know that therefore they are unable to unite on one point. IPL is the biggest success story for BCCI and it will remain like that for many years to come.
Yes, even after the start of different T20 cricketing leagues no league is able to be popular as IPL. The game got started at the right time, and the plan of franchise making is really good. As said even if some event like World IPL happens, if isn't a surprise. Already IPL teams have turned themselves a brand and CSK one of the franchise have bought a team in South Africa league and the name too is supposed to be CSK Johannesburg.
1768  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin declared ‘dead’ 52% less in 2022 despite bear market vibes on: July 24, 2022, 11:08:10 PM
This shows how people stay positive about the market. Another thing, the better learning about the bitcoin and the surrounding market. Earlier Whales used to make opportunity whenever there arises the bearish market. Now this have changed completely as people are good enough to learn and educate themselves about the market than just falling for the market manipulation from the whales.

Educate yourself and the market will be all yours, because users with the right knowledge have made good fortune unlike the bear and bullish trend. This can be through trading, staking or through other forms of earning.
1769  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would Bitcoin recover even if it fell to one dollar? on: July 24, 2022, 11:04:17 PM
The value of bitcoin have reached this high from a valueless token. So, it won't be a surprise even if it fall down to one dollar. Same time we need to think in a wiser way. On what note the value of Bitcoin will fall down to a dollar. For now we haven't got any reason for this. So, this isn't going to happen.

Let's assume, at some point for some reason the price dropped down. Will this bounce back, surely there'll be bounce back. Because, same as people having negative thoughts about growth there are people who are bullish about bitcoin will invest as much to profit in the long term.
1770  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Age of bitcoiners on: July 24, 2022, 10:57:13 PM
No age bracket into cryptocurrency and Bitcoin what age you find yourself, you can buy cryptocurrency and invest for yourself and wait for bullish season, i believe that people do buy Bitcoin for their children when they children is still tender and i believe that those people who do such have for sea the usefulness of cryptocurrency
There is no age bracket for the buying and holding of bitcoin, because in the history of bitcoin it is possible to see a good number of youngsters below 18 made their buy when the price was low and have turned millionaires.

What is being discussed in the thread is all about the age of bitcoin users. This means which age bracket people use cryptocurrency much. What the poll states is true, because most of the users who is entered the market when they were in their 24+ years of age have now turned 30+ and this have made the 30-35 choice lead the poll.
1771  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Educating people on Bitcoin for free on: July 24, 2022, 10:50:07 PM
With the existence and the increased usage of smartphones, every level of people are well used to bitcoin. This is happening through different cryptocurrency usage applications with the user friendly interface. Only thing lacks is the real understanding about the market and about the technology that is holding the network.

Most of the common people who get into the market doesn't have any prior knowledge, just because of the money making possibility they enter the market. This is good, but they should understand the risks too. Because, unknowingly the investment made could experience a big loss out of fluctuation the next minute.
1772  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin made you a millionaire? on: July 23, 2022, 11:59:32 PM
It was ethereum that made me a millionaire, but I wasn't able to enjoy it for some reason. I had a good number of ethereum, and if I've sold at its ath price I could've been a millionaire. I've sold the ethereum when the price was around $500 that made me big money. However this isn't used in an effective way. Hope someday I'll get an opportunity to turn myself a millionaire out of some small cap coins.
1773  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The characteristics of people who are addicted to online gambling on: July 22, 2022, 11:53:29 PM
It could be fair to say gambling, crime and drugs are wealth building strategies for those who lack better options.

Gambling is considered as wealth building strategy. I personally do this. As I don't have any additional source I find gambling as a way to build wealth. But, the reality is different. It will make the luckiest build wealth whereas the majority will ruin themselves. I've restricted myself several times, but the need triggers me and I once again participate to loss what I earn.
1774  Economy / Economics / Re: Sri Lanka Economic Crisis is Getting Worse on: July 22, 2022, 11:45:44 PM
The government kept its focus upon something specific and didn't think about the rest of the growth. This is the reason for the ongoing economic crisis. They were focused on creating an organic country, when there is some failure in production they should've shifted to the alternate plan. This concentration on one specific thing is the reason for such a crisis for basic needs of life.
1775  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: July 22, 2022, 11:16:15 PM
What a disgusting day! First, Petkovic lost the first set 6-0, then at the beginning of the second set she completely withdrew from the competition.  After that Jiri Lehecka was able to take his game (4th in the first set) from score 0-40. And more unexpectedly Rublev lost with a score of 2-0. full day of losses  Undecided

Sorry for your loss, but this again shows that there is no value at all in betting on odds of 1.14. By betting on these kind of odds, you only need 1 loss on 7 matches and the end result will always be a negative ROI. Surprises always happen in every sport.
Every sporting event used to give unexpected results. This is why it is said, even with sports betting there is a need of luck without which winning big is always a hard task. For users who believe going with the low odds assure of winning the bet can have this as an example, how a match can turn against the prediction.
1776  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC Ever Reach $100k? on: July 22, 2022, 07:49:57 PM
A long time ago, people are questioned.

Can we hit more than 20,000$ (From our last all-time high) and the reality after the halving bitcoin we can reached 60,000$. IMO, there always has some chance we can reach the number. Crypto market is still small comparing to wall-streat maybe only around 1%

There a lot potential.
This didn't happened a long back. During the previous bull market this was the discussion. The price of bitcoin was around $3000. By the time speculations were to reach $5000. Even the prediction of $8000 - $10k were criticised. This is the reality of people's mind, and the market outlawed reaching close to $20k which is the ath by that time.
1777  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Discussion] Should Gambling be Banned? on: July 21, 2022, 11:47:32 PM
It might look funny, but it striked in my mind. Why don't we have a gambling insurance. This means a premium to be spend every month. Through this one can be availed with two claims per year. Here the user needs to list the sites he use. When the person goes for claim, the data regarding the loss will be collected by the insurance company and provides with the insurance amount. Many won't like this, because of the privacy issues.
1778  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling in Moderation, Pros can out weigh its Cons in Financial and Health? on: July 21, 2022, 11:26:51 PM
  • Makes you Happier - When you win.
  • Stress Reduction - increase the stress when lost. Very few consider it for fun/entertainment.
  • Relaxation and Comfort - Recalls the loss and always think of the way to recover.
  • Improves your Skills - I don't know in what way it is improving one's skills, because all we learn is strategies to win. Apart from that we do collection of information.
  • Helps with Socialization - More gamblers have turned friends through online and offline gambling platforms which is true.
  • Potential for big wins - You need to be extremely lucky or in the process of being lucky what you get out of the luck will be lower than what you have spend to achieve it.

Don't think that I've made things with a negative perspective. This is the reality that happens with the normal gambler. What is being mentioned through the article is all about the gamblers who have a big bag of money and never mind of win/loss.
1779  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Watford Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: July 21, 2022, 11:12:49 PM
-snip-
To be honest.

KYC is the one activity we're gonna to made to avoid any kind some delay or reason to not process our withdraw, sometimes most casino make a delay for user who are withdraw really big. I don't find yet from "Stake" so really satisfied.

Maybe, If someday lucky enough to win more than 5,000-10,000$ on other casino. I do not mind for KYC before process the withdraw, is just to avoid casino give me a reason with that reason and make the delay.

Same here Stake still has a good reputation in this regard my only problem occurs  when I request a withdrawal but my wager has not reached the total value of the deposit then my withdrawal will be delayed/canceled this is one of the active requirements on stake.com.
Stake has been serving as a player friendly platform from the beginning. Through primedice they've known better about the players expectation and the same is being implemented on Stake. As per that it request the users to fulfill KYC according to the players interest. It also gives some attraction on KYC with its additional bonus for users completing different levels of KYC.
1780  Economy / Economics / Re: Avoid buying land in dispute to avoid wasting of economic resources on: July 21, 2022, 10:59:25 PM
I honestly can’t comprehend why someone would have an interest to purchase a land that’s on dispute. It doesn’t make any sense and I think the post is inessential. Most people are diligent in their quest to purchase a property like land.
I admit there must be fraudulent individuals and mushroom organizations that would seek to defraud people, and that is where due diligence from your part comes in. And if it’s too difficult to research things for yourself, get a third party like a lawyer to act on your behalf

This has been happening in land properties in our country. There are really greedy people who would purchase a land property regardless of its land issues as long as it's being sold at a low price. Both parties would end up fighting and suffering for their land rights. We must consult a legal expert's advice to avoid land issues and conflicts so our hard-earned money will never be wasted.
It is not the greed. Most of the time this kind of problem arises around the region of the cities. People move towards urban region in search for employment. After years of living in rented houses people look for an own property. Urban regions will be expensive, and when someone is providing it at a lesser price you and me too will buy it. This is not greed, but the mind that goes in search of fulfilling a dream that gets fooled at last.
