181  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Alternative to shapeshift.io on: April 15, 2016, 01:36:55 AM
I recently came to know that https://changelly.com/ is also in operation of altcoin exhange like shapeshift but i haven't tried them personally as i used to use only shapeshift before. You can try changelly with small amount at first.

Seems the next most legitimate replacement for ShapeShift. Anyone knows of this MinerGate team?

Too bad for that hack. Let's hope ShapeShift does get back again.

Not even close to it, the whole idea of ShapeShift was to trade coins without going through the whole lengthy process of signing up or logging in, it was instant, I just tried changelly and as soon as I pressed the exchange button it is asking me to sign up. If I am going to go through all the hassle of signing up I might as well use the traditional exchanges such Poloniex, Bittrex etc.
182  Economy / Gambling / Re: ★ Satolottery - Bitcoin lottery website ★ on: April 12, 2016, 03:17:08 AM
Price of tickets is one thing but what about provable fairness? How can participants verify that the winning ticket was picked completely randomly? This would be the no.1 concern for anybody looking to play the lottery. Other than the design and UI of the site is pretty decent, nice simple, sober colors and easy on the eyes.
183  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Alternative to shapeshift.io on: April 12, 2016, 03:03:04 AM
There use to be a site called bitin.io which worked exactly like shapeshift but it didn't work and was closed down and other than that I am not aware of any websites that work like shapeshift did. They were unique, let's hope they come back with more added security.
184  Economy / Services / Re: Up to 0.035 BTC weekly for YOUR SIGNATURE *New rules on: April 12, 2016, 02:32:31 AM
@Bitmixer.IO: I have a concern about the solution implemented.

The bot is designed to pay for maximum of 50 posts per week, after adding missing posts from last week I am sure the count will go above 50 for this week for almost all the participants who got their posts added from last week, which would mean they will again miss payment for the posts they make this week?

PS: Thanks to Shield for helping with the list.

185  Economy / Services / Re: Up to 0.035 BTC weekly for YOUR SIGNATURE *New rules on: April 11, 2016, 03:26:53 AM
Let's make a list, maybe it would help them pay manually.
If more needs to be added or something needs to be edited, just copy the list to your post and add/edit accordingly.
I have added a table, more empty lines are at the bottom, just copy it and add yours.

Username-Posts-Amount
bitbaby-33 Posts-0.0231 BTC
Digital_Lord-37 Posts-0.0259 BTC
1Referee-47 Posts-0.0329 BTC
gentlemand-50 Posts-0.035 BTC
chaosknight-50 Posts-0.035 BTC
fkvidar-40 Posts-0.028 BTC

Total as of now: 0.1799 BTC

@Bitmixer.IO:*List prepared on the basis of as reported by users, manually checking for qualifying posts is still required. I am happy to check those, if needed.

add me to your list, i have 50 posts but its showing only 10 posts that i made yesterday

40 posts missing? Added.
When was your payday?

187  Economy / Services / Re: Up to 0.035 BTC weekly for YOUR SIGNATURE *New rules on: April 11, 2016, 02:28:35 AM
The issue with changing of signature code was fixed.
About zero posts - seems some posts were deleted on the forum. Payments are based on total quantity of posts, bot checks and save to database this number every time on payment. So if old posts were deleted, you may have zero posts this week.

My payday was yesterday, from 4th APR to 10th APR, I made 33 posts, which comes to 0.0231 BTC.

When will you be paying for those?

Who would have deleted those posts? It canīt have been moderators of the threads, in that case there would have been PMs about that.

There were no deletions. The bitmixer bot was caught out. I assume nothing will be done to compensate anyone.

No, I think they will/should compensate those who carried the signature whole week, its not participant's fault that a glitch wiped out their post count from the bot.

What if there is a glitch tomorrow again? Or on the bitmixer.io site, will they not compensate people mixing their coins just because it was a glitch?
188  Economy / Services / Re: Up to 0.035 BTC weekly for YOUR SIGNATURE *New rules on: April 10, 2016, 03:37:04 AM
is the signature.html script working properly?

because all of a sudden my posts count from 20 now shows 0 (this happened yesterday and it was not a pay day)

EDIT: Nevermind, works fine now! Probably a lag or something...

I am having the same problem today (on the payday) Carried the signature whole week and am still wearing it, when I checked yesterday, it showed everything was fine and now all of sudden the post count shows "0" ?

Signature:   Not found!

189  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible that receiver pays the fee? on: April 10, 2016, 02:42:35 AM
I simply don't understand why paying bitcoin fee is such a bother, a 20k Sats/kb comes to $ 0.083, which shouldn't really be a problem for the sender or the receiver as to who covers it.

Don't use paypal so don't know what their fee(s) are but I am sure it is dependent on the volume of transaction, which I would imagine must be much higher as compared to bitcoin tx fee.

The company says it defeated the cyberattack without paying a ransom.

This is the part I like and would like to know how they achieved this. But however they did, this would be these hackers first failed attempt and hopefully if others also start taking precautions like mentioned in the article, these attacks can be prevented.

Companies should train employees not to open digital attachments or to click on unfamiliar Web links in emails that might contain viruses or other malware, Stangl said. They also should back up critical data and use up-to-date virus detection software.

Abusively ranting won't help anything, what would is if you explain the problem sincerely. Also, this is not the place for it, move it here: Scam Accusations and use this to make a proper report Scam Report Format (Use it to make scam reports properly) with proofs.
192  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Media Speculation Grows that Satoshi will Reveal Himself as Early as The Weeken on: April 09, 2016, 03:31:15 AM
Hope this turns out to be another hoax. I prefer the things as they're, as much as I would like to know who he is, him being found could turn things upside down.
193  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which would you prefer? Satoshi is a male or female? on: April 09, 2016, 03:10:14 AM
I prefer Nakamoto to be a female. This will give rise to women empowerment campaign.

Yes. This is what I prefer too. Even though I have the feeling that Satoshi Nakamoto is male. I'd like Satoshi Nakamoto to be female as there is already many men supporting Bitcoin. If Satoshi Nakamoto is revealed to be female ... Bitcoin gender ratio could be balanced.

And hence becoming the new world currency.

(it does have a lot impact.)

Don't know/care what gender/race he is, all I can tell you that where ever he is, he'd be very disappointed by the state of this forum.

Alas! we may know soon..

Can you not do this with Purse.io? Make a wish list and post it there with how much you're willing to pay for each book through BTC and when it gets delivered to your email (like you mentioned) just release the escrow? I am sure you can get 10-20% discount if not more.

I have created an ad with my affiliate link but I don't think it is showing correctly (you can check), is there a way to remove it and add again?
196  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is it profitable to run a dice gambling site? on: April 08, 2016, 04:42:16 AM
as far as I see very profitable, because I always look at the statistics homeowners dice sites is growing every day

Don't believe everything you see in statistics, their profitability depends on the amount of gamblers they get and how much those gamblers play and that is the most difficult part, even older/trusted sites like Primedice has to do promotions from time to time to attract them, then there is the trust part, the trusted the site is the more whales it is going to get, which is not the case with the newer ones. Other than that there are problems like getting hacked, bugs and you have to maintain a huge bankroll for if someone gets really lucky you'd have to pay them.

So let's just say no, it is not easy to run dice or any other gambling site, at-least not at start, for first few months you'll have to run a lot of promotions/advertisements just to make people aware that you have a site and its expensive.
197  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollin.io compromised..! on: April 08, 2016, 04:27:45 AM
Were you using Tor/VPN of some sort? Did you had 2fa enabled on your account? Just wondering if maybe it was a MITM attack and your account was the one which got compromised.

Also, would you mind sharing your strategy? I would love to turn 5 mBTC to 1.1 BTC myself.  Smiley
198  Economy / Gambling / Re: Crypto52 Bitcoin BlackJack (Online) on: April 08, 2016, 04:15:10 AM
I have just launched my BTC BlackJack site please try it and tell me what you think.

Crypto52

You can get free coins by clicking on the gift box to the left of the screen

Min Deposit     0.001btc
Min Withdraw  0.001btc
Deposits take 5 confirms

Game settings
Pays 3 to 2
Dealer Hits on Soft 17
Decks 8
Insurance is enabled

Isn't that a little too much? For smaller transactions <1 BTC one confirmation is more than enough, 5 on a bad day will sometimes take more than an hour, no body's going to wait 1 hour just to play some hands at BJ.
199  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: What's the point of the Blockchain.info wallet identifier? on: April 08, 2016, 03:52:13 AM
Ok, I get the point. Thanks. Still, if I delete my browser's cookies, or maybe after an update, the identifier will be gone from the login window, and since it is not safe to store the identifier on the computer I will then have to search for the paper sheet I put it down on and re-enter it manually. Which is a bit of a hassle.

Also, of course, using only the identifier is unpractical when you want to login from a different computer.

If you read my reply above, I have already mentioned that when you make a blockchain.info wallet, they send the identifier in the email, anytime you try to log in the verification email contains the identifier as well.

And you can store the identifier on your computer, a hacker cannot open your account with just the identifier. It would require Identifier+Password+2fa(if you enable that) to gain access.
200  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How earn 1BTC a year? on: April 08, 2016, 03:39:52 AM
Affiliate marketing could be a good option too, requires some hard work but there are so many good bitcoin affiliate programs running with so many exchanges/casinos/shops and if one gives it their full attention, making 1 bitcoin in a year is achievable.
