841  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is bitodex.com a scam? on: October 29, 2015, 02:21:00 AM
I also got cheated from this site. I sent $58 with skrill and waited for 36 hours and sent two emails in the mean time after 36 hours but got no response at all. I have reported to skrill immediately after this and I am awaiting the skrill's response. I am writing here just to notify you and to say that this site http://bitodex.com is scam and cheats and takes your money and deceives you without responding.

Stay away from this site. If you can do something REMOVE THIS SITE from the INTERNET.

Thanks.

OP created this thread in February 2015 and if you had done a little research prior to sending any money from your skrill this thread would have definitely come up, there must be many sites like these which are only looking to fraud users and the problem is people don't search about a site and just blindly send money to it.

It is already listed in Badbitcoin list:
Bitodex.com If you send funds to this russian site - you'll lose them to a thief. 4/23/15
842  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russia Proposes Jail Sentence for Bitcoin Activities on: October 28, 2015, 09:05:20 AM
All the dictatorship regimes are afraid of everything which is associated with freedom. I strongly believe that they will not succeed in banning freedom though. The times has changed.

It's just a proposal right now and it might/not go through but if it does then it will surely get difficult for Russians to buy/sell Bitcoins freely unless of-course everyone decides to do cash trades, which is not easy as it is difficult to find cash traders but if they trade using their bank accounts or other govt. controlled payment instruments then they'd get caught.
843  Economy / Services / Re: ✍ ✍ Register under my referral link and get paid 0.001 BTC ✍✍ on: October 28, 2015, 08:38:29 AM
Did anyone got paid? I don't see any vouches here, OP the best way to do this is you put some money in an escrow and that way you'll get a lot of referrals as people don't have to worry about not getting paid.

I might give this a shot too, let me know your referral link.
844  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Signature campaigns - the truth on: October 28, 2015, 08:34:13 AM
This forum is biggest place for Bitcoin/altcoin enthusiasts and signature campaigns is somewhat cheaper way (as compared to other forms of advertising) of letting others know that you're running a Bitcoin/Altcoin business and if it wasn't profitable a lot of companies wouldn't do it.
845  Economy / Economics / Re: The Halving - Good or Bad for Bitcoin? on: October 28, 2015, 08:21:02 AM
It should be good for the Bitcoin and it's price because the supply of it will get deducted by half and if the demand remains the same the price is bound to increase, so maybe it won't affect the miners too as they would be able to sell their bitcoins for more money to cover their expenses.
846  Economy / Gambling / Re: Someone just won 52.800 BTC on Dragon's Tale on: October 28, 2015, 08:17:12 AM
Who is the guy? Win a awesome prize on grave Shocked Why the name covered?
It's my first time i saw someone won a bigest prize on dragon's tale. Lucky guy.

I have never even played there and didn't know that the site was that famous but anything can happen whilst gambling, maybe the guy was a big roller and winning that much amount is not a big thing for him, I have seen people win/lose 10-20 BTC just like that on Primedice. Congrats to him, He should come around here and do a giveaway. Smiley
847  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Do You Think This BTC Lottery Idea Will Be A Success ? on: October 27, 2015, 02:27:53 AM
May be.

Voted this as well. Seriously, there is no way of knowing in advance whether an idea is going to work or not, the only sure way of knowing is, give it a shot!. Make such website and try your best to make it work but make sure that results of lottery is verifiable otherwise people will suspect cheating and stop visiting your site. And this should go in Project Development, you can move it from the bottom left of this page.
848  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain wallet Main password? on: October 27, 2015, 02:20:36 AM
The blockchain wallet app on my phone says it can't verify the pin I use because the server is down and asks me for the Main password. I don't remember a Main password. Did I have one for sure? Can I ask for a new one or something?

If you have the Mnemonic Seed which was given to you at the time of making the wallet, then you can use that to recover your lost identifier/password but if you don't have that then Blockchain.info can't reset your password because for the simple fact that they don't store it on their servers.

This should go in Beginners and help or Service discussion. You can move it from the bottom left of this page.
849  Economy / Gambling / Re: SPORTSBOOK RANKINGS ~ USER GENERATED & MOST ACCURATE (PLEASE CONTRIBUTE) on: October 27, 2015, 02:13:58 AM
RANKINGS HAVE BEEN UPDATED
10/26  Shocked

Jetwin.ps is not even on this list? Any particular reason for it or just that no one is voting for them? Their interface is pretty clean and they have more lines to bet on and I think they deserve to be at-least on the list. If others give them a shot, they'd agree.

I'd rate them..
Jetwin.ps: 4
850  Economy / Gambling / Re: DirectBet – LIVE Sportsbook & Racebook. Rated # 1 by Bitcointalk Members ! on: October 27, 2015, 02:06:36 AM
Anyone betting there at this moment?
Do you get your bets confirmed and processed even if they are confirmed on blockchain?

The bets are recorded as soon as they hit the blockchain, you can check it's status by refreshing the bet page but if you win the payout will be processed only after the bet has at-least 1 confirmation.

You can read more about it here for a detailed explanation of above: https://directbet.eu/Rules.cshtml

851  Economy / Gambling / Re: Any sites that play board games for Bitcoins on: October 27, 2015, 02:01:13 AM
There's site called Gambit.com and you can play board games there and it's PvP, I use to spend some time there a long time back but haven't been there in ages, so can't say how active it is now, but you can check it out and see if you can play some games.
852  Economy / Gambling / Re: △▽BitKong - Fun & Addictive bitcoin game! No registration | Instant withdrawal△▽ on: October 27, 2015, 01:41:05 AM
Nice graphics on the site, easy on the eyes and a soothing music to keep you calm, I like it. I have played a game like this before on another site which was sort of like a faucet and will give this a shot soon to see how it goes.

what happens if you choose a ticket but end up sending different amount to the deposit address? and let's say you clear up the cookies before you play a ticket and you don't have a withdrawal address set, how can you regain access to your account?

Edit: Tried it, couldn't get to the 2nd row in 5 times. Undecided

Hey Dear Bitbaby!

Really happy that you liked it!
You can send any amount to the deposit address! the switcher is just made to make it easy, and if you clear the cookies etc, money will just be withdrawn to the account from which they where deposited, after 12 hours of inactivity. and soon we are going to have account system, and those who registered will receive bonuses and will be able to use our affiliate system!

Sorry to hear that you had bad luck that day! Tickets work like real printed ones, prize is predefined, stay updated BitKong will soon be happy to give some bonuses to his loyal users!!!!

Sending money back after 12 hours of inactivity is good but it could cause problems if a user sent from an exchange, an account system would be better and you'll get more players that way.

No worries, I had a good time playing and will defo play again whenever I can. Smiley
853  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: October 26, 2015, 01:58:55 AM
I just always watching cricket plays but i didnt know the team and i didnt know whose the best.but i think its randomly who  wins...

It's not completely random, the better teams with players in form on their side will perform better but it's a sport so there are always uncertainties and days where the best of the players/teams don't perform well. If you continue to watch, in time you'll understand which teams are better when you compare their over all records and then you can bet according to that.
854  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning] BitGog might be trying to SCAM! on: October 26, 2015, 01:49:30 AM
Well, he's ignoring me. I'm not spamming, I'm not being irrational, I'm just getting ignored...but then again my posts haven't been deleted...yet
Archive.org ill leave this here just in case my posts also get deleted.

Others have also bought my question into the interest of others. But that's not even enough to get an answer.

That's because he pretended to delete the previous thread with the reasoning that it contained sig spam and because you're not wearing one, he can't delete yours as that might raise more questions but he knows that he's free to not answer anything.

But I suppose if your reply stays there, that's enough to let others know that there is no way to verify the picks and that might prevent some of the sane users from getting scammed, other users don't care and will play anywhere, the Investor-based section is filled with such users who continue to invest in ponzi schemes, knowing that they will lose their money sooner or later.
855  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can gambling be profitable in long term ? on: October 26, 2015, 01:35:56 AM
of course it might be profitable in a long run everything depends on how lucky you will be you can loose all your balance in a day though you can play with it for a year if youre lucky
Betting aint about being lucky, it's all about managing your bank well and not beeing greedy!

That's true but it's easier said then done, someone once told me that if you do sports betting and try to do it responsibly and just aim for 10-20 % of your investment every day you might just end up making profit over the course of time but as soon as we start to gamble our first aim is to double up the money as soon as possible and that's where we end up losing.
856  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can we earn bitcoin by Torrent seeding ? on: October 25, 2015, 03:04:21 AM
I wonder if you actually end up making anything in the end? All the while you're seeding you lose your bandwidth and electricity if you keep your machine running especially for that and if you calculate the cost of that to what you make, I don't think you'll cover the expenses.
857  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Microsoft is not accepting bitcoin anymore ? on: October 25, 2015, 02:43:11 AM
A user on the reddit reported that he had a chat with their support and they confirmed that it is temporary and I am guessing they must have had some trouble with the BitPay service, so maybe this time when they start to re-accept it, they'll accept it directly without any third party service.
858  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: October 25, 2015, 02:28:32 AM
Today 5th one day match between SA and India at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.

Who will win this match Huh

Are Morkel and De- Kock back in the side? If they're then SA might win but without them I don't think they have a chance, Indian batsman got in the form at the right time in the tournament and SA's bowling without Morkel is not that strong and they might not be able to restrict Indians to a lower score which they were successfully doing previously.

I don't see an answer on the site or in this thread, so I'll ask here.

How is the winning number chosen? Are players able to verify the results of each round?

edit The 'signature spam' argument holds no water here; my signature has a report link that went unused, and I have not accepted payment for running it in many months.

This is why I didn't post anything in his second thread, which he made self moderated because I knew that he's going to delete any posts that get in way of his chance to scam the users and I made this topic instead so users can be warned and can make their decision whether to play there or not accordingly. I'll close this thread when they make the number picking process transparent.
860  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: blockchain.info Problem with Wallet on: October 24, 2015, 03:55:26 AM
Hi guys.

yeah, I changed my wallet to coinbase.

Even my old blockchain.info wallet had problem now; somethin' is weird, but...

thnks for th opinions.

You changed from one online wallet to another, and coinbase doesn't even let you have control over your keys, ask yourself this, if tomorrow the site becomes in-accessible, how will you get hold of your funds?

If you don't control the keys, you don't control your Bitcoins. Take some time and learn about desktop wallets, Electrum is as easy as it gets.
