701  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: How to rebroadcast an Electrum transaction using Blockchain.info’s pushtx on: December 03, 2015, 10:00:47 AM
But if you sign a transaction with older version of the electrum, they might still not broadcast to the network because of the High S values which are considered non standard even if you do it with blockchain push transaction or other similar services? cmiiw

Wouldn't it just be easy to update the electrum to the latest version to solve this issue once and for all.
702  Economy / Services / Re: Anything from Amazon.com for 85% Bitcoin! on: December 03, 2015, 09:50:40 AM
Because I knew people would tell me to use Purse.io.

Purse.io makes you wait until the person gets the item that they bought delivered to their house before you get paid, so that's something that I can't wait for because

1: Let's say purse.io pays me in 3-4 days (that's if I'm lucky), then I'd have one day to buy the thing.
2: The place I would buy it from wouldn't deliver it within hours, so I'd still have to wait for that as well.

Even here no one will pay you until the product gets delivered, even if you find someone here, the money will be held in an escrow until they receive the product. If you don't want to wait, you're going to have to find another way of getting the BTC.
703  Economy / Services / Re: Welcome to obits Signature Campaign Earn up to .180 per month on: December 03, 2015, 09:38:42 AM
Owner messaged me and i have a treat for you guys. Minimum post count for the month has been lowered to 50 posts. I will still expect to see a few days  a week of posting form users though. If i notice you logging in 1 day a week you will most likely be kicked from the campaign

This is good to know. And don't worry I log on here at-least once per day anyway and will continue to post normally.
704  Economy / Services / Re: Anything from Amazon.com for 85% Bitcoin! on: December 03, 2015, 09:29:26 AM
Have you heard of Purse.io ? People post their Amazon wish-list over their with things they wish to buy and offer BTC for it and you can and purchase the items on their wish-list through your Amazon account credit and the BTC gets held in escrow, when the product gets delivered, the BTC becomes available for you to withdraw.

But even if you find someone here to buy products or there it might take up-to 3 days, maybe more.
705  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What did you buy on bitcoin black Friday? on: December 02, 2015, 06:03:28 AM
I didn't bought anything, I was looking to purchase a few Pen-drives and a SSD but the price+postage even with discount costed way more than what they cost in the local online stores and it was not worth it, as much as I want to spend my Bitcoins I don't want to just throw them away, so I postponed it and maybe I'll buy them when I see a better discount, hopefully around Christmas.

I also think it will be great if people post the store info from where they bought the items.
706  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Betcoin.tm wouldn't process my withdraw on: December 02, 2015, 05:47:35 AM
I too played with there 0.01 Jadecoin no deposit bonus and after playing I was able to make 0.0048 BTC, which I successfully withdrew and I also had to sign a message to add a bitcoin withdraw address to my account prior to asking for withdrawal. Do as suggested above, either make a temp. wallet with blockchain.info or sign a message as suggested above by Shorena with Mycelium and you will able to withdraw your balance. Also, when you enter the signed message on your account page, change the username, password and email.

708  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New to bitcoin. What is most popular bitcoin wallet in the world? on: December 02, 2015, 05:28:06 AM
OP, go here: Choose your wallet - Bitcoin and you can choose the wallet according to your need. There is no such thing as a popular wallet, each wallet has it's own usage. If you want to have the whole blockchain then download and use Bitcoin Core, if you want a desktop wallet but don't want to download the whole blockchain, then go for something like Electrum (This is the one I would recommend). And Mycelium is a good wallet for the mobile.

I won't recommend you using an online wallet such as blockchain.info because your funds are not safe there imho. Just visit the link above and decide on your own.

710  Economy / Gambling / Re: DirectBet – LIVE Sportsbook & Racebook. Rated # 1 by Bitcointalk Members ! on: December 02, 2015, 04:39:02 AM
Interesting than people who complain about gambling sites & casinos are normally low ranked accounts or accounts with a shit load of negative trust.

Very interesting........

It is odd but maybe Directbet should have a live support, so people won't need to come here to report such things but having been said that every site faces occasional glitches and errors which causes delays but as far as I am concerned DirectBet is the fastest when it comes to settling of bets. I can say that after betting on several other sportsbooks including fiat ones and off chain btc sites.
711  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: December 02, 2015, 04:31:31 AM
Tomorrow 4th test between India and SA. India already won this series but they may try for series clean wash out but SA also may try to win at least this match. I think Indian management again may come up with same spin pitch so India have a advantage to win this match also.

I don't think for this match Indian team management will be demanding any specific sort of wicket because the series already in india's pocket so they may not put pressure on spin supporting pitch for this last test. But this match may not be so interesting for people to watch because India already won the series.

The Pitch for last match was rated Poor by the ICC referee and I don't think it was intentional but it does creates controversies and BCCI has 14 days to response and then it will be decided whether a penalty should be imposed or not. I think it's unfair to make pitches which favors a certain side, a panel should be made which should check and approve wickets before the match.
712  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When will I recieve my bitcoin? on: December 02, 2015, 04:18:52 AM
surprised Bitcoin is still being sold on Ebay these days.

Yeah but they way overcharge because at ebay you're paying with Paypal I guess and which is why they charge extra, I wouldn't recommend it. Other exchanges like LBC are better for buying/selling BTC but lately I am seeing big price differences there also, don't know what to make of it.
713  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL] Did you download the BTC blockchain for personal use ? on: December 01, 2015, 05:37:53 AM
Yes, before I thought core is the most secure wallet,  I downloaded the whole blockchain. But now No, It is wasting my time! I need to use the wallet whenever I need! electrum is secure enough which I am using ! It is able to serve my requirement .

Does it keep your keys on your own machine ?

I don't trust online wallets.. avoid them guys.
Some wallets are a mix of different tech eh

Electrum is not an online wallet, it is a desktop wallet and according to me the safest one, you can keep two copies of it, one for cold storage and one for hot wallet on the desktop and you can spend funds from the cold storage by transferring the signed transactions and broadcasting them from your desktop wallet, the keys of your cold storage can remain cold and safe from hackers.

As for the main question, no, I haven't downloaded the whole blockchain, it's too big and would cost me a lot of bandwidth.
714  Economy / Economics / Re: Passive Income on: December 01, 2015, 05:25:13 AM
Does being part of a signature campaign count as a passive source of income?  Cheesy

Overall I have some very small and basic sources of income, such as betting on various sports events, and doing other smaller things on the side. I want to get some more sources of passive income, but I have to find the time in order to start getting the passive sources rolling.

No, all the above you mentioned requires you to actively do stuff to earn money and therefore they cannot be considered passive income, a passive income is the income you earn with little or no effort, like for ex. investment plans (legit ones not ponzis) which bring you regular income without doing anything. But as said before it is hard to find programs that are legit and let you make money from money without any efforts.
715  Economy / Gambling / Re: Cypherpoker - Mental Poker (P2P Poker) on: December 01, 2015, 05:17:46 AM
This is a stroke of a genius ! Glad it is open source !Looking forward to go ahead and check out the code! Mental poker seems like a great concept too.Death of the online poker ?Might as well take couple of years to do that . Lips sealed

It doesn't have to die but it might since now people who were always concerned about the fairness in an online poker game and about who can see our cards would have a choice and they will choose this concept over the old one any day.

717  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How is escrow safe? on: December 01, 2015, 04:45:47 AM
Hello. I keep reading that members should use escrow when using paypal.  What stops buyer from a chargeback against the escrow and then escrow charge back against seller? I am looking to sell via paypal but do not want to risk chargeback. Virowox seems expensive to use although it is safe.

Don't know where you read it but most of the respected escrows here would simply won't escrow a deal which involves Paypal or other similar payment processors which can be charged back. AFAIK a Paypal payment can be charged back up-to 180 days after the payment and no escrow can cover you from that.
718  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When will I recieve my bitcoin? on: December 01, 2015, 04:29:23 AM
First time buying a bitcoin. Downloaded bitcoin core. Bought a bitcoin off ebay. Made a receiving URL, and gave it to seller. Seller transfered it to the url I gave him. Yet when I open b.c.core there says there are no transactions, and my balance is still zero.

Usually a transaction takes between 5 minutes and 1 hour.  Which receiving url did you give?
What is your bitcoin address? You can validate if the bitcoins are sent here: https://blockchain.info/

Actually the transaction is almost instant, as soon as you send/receive BTCTC, you can see it in your wallet (if it is synced) or on a block explorer. What you're talking about is the confirmations and on average it takes about 10 minutes for a confirmation. Don't confuse Bitcoin transactions with confirmations.

@OP, did you release the funds on ebay before checking for BTC payments?? Check it on a block explorer as mentioned above asap and never release funds before a Tx has atleast 3 confirmations.
719  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: December 01, 2015, 03:48:40 AM
England vs Pakistan t20 it was really a super match with both team performed well with batting and bowling, but the match went tie, in one over eliminator england won, pakistan could not make much runs but even in that score they gave tough fight. in all it was a very good match.

It was a great match, right till the end ball but too bad for Pak that they got in a good position but couldn't pull it off, 2 balls 2 run and Shoaib on strike, he should have made those runs but he got out right when he was needed the most and then lost the Match in super over and it looked like they didn't even try to hit the ball hard in the super over which was kind of disappointing to watch.
720  Economy / Services / Re: Earn 0.002btc per post on: November 30, 2015, 04:59:05 AM
I am recruiting people for craig list posting, i will be paying 0.002 btc per post and every applicant must complete 3 ads daily for 2 days as a trial and we shall recruit everybody that we are able to see their ads live on the craiglist website after the 2 days trial.
My ads have nothing to do with adult, gambling and violent stuffs, i need the ads to be posted on the financial, small biz, and computer sections only.
You can PM me for details if you are interested.
Please note that we shall only recruit those that we can see their ads on the craiglist website during the trial period.

Will you be paying the members for 6 posts that they make in those 2 days trial period? Or will those be free?

I think you should arrange an escrow as you're not very trusted on the forum, that way the workers don't have to worry about not getting paid for their efforts and they will work without worries.

Here's the thread to find forum's trusted escrows: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=855778.0
