I do think it's an issue and to be honest I'm not particularly impressed with Ghash's response, or lack there of.
Especially when you compare it to the quick and effective response of BTC Guild when they were in the 40% bracket.
Some people have speculated that Ghash has mining power that totals above 50% already but their mining it off pool in order to avoid attention. I'm not saying that's true, but if they did end up with over 50% of the hashing power that would seem like it would be the most rational thing to do economically speaking(if and only if the public had no knowledge of it happening).
>50% attacks are real and should be taken seriously by the community. Even the threat of one is enough to seriously harm bitcoin in the eyes of the public. I don't even want to imagine what sort spin these modern media companies would put on it.
I don't even mine in Ghash.io . IMO its not very good site, there are a lot better sites with great support than Ghash.io . Kindly, Muhammed Zakhir

One post per a two week time period I would consider not being active.
But theymos doesn't share the same opinion with you, and he is the boss here. Theymos will accept good opinions. Administrators, staffs etc... are trusted persons and they will try to help this Bitcoin talk forum. Kindly, Muhammed Zakhir

Stealing is never right, it doesn't matter if your entire family is dying of cancer. You can get a real job and make money, or start a business. Taking that money from other people is the worst thing you can do.
Me too agree with your posts. "Situations Make A Person Bad" ~ Unknown . If we have a strong will power we won't be become bad very easily. Kindly, Muhammed Zakhir

Reviewing the forum member's posting history before making a transaction may be a good idea.

That's a pretty crazy story by the OP. A suggestion to anybody doing face to face trading- make sure it is one-on-one and there is a table in between the 2 people.
Check the feedback of the person too. Kindly, Muhammed Zakhir

What do you think?
I think if anybody contact their support about this, they may put an option. I've never heard of Monoprice before, but I just looked at the website since you posted this thread and they have some really nice stuff. It would be cool if they accepted BTC. Are there any talks of that, or are you just speculating?
Me too looked at the website when I saw this post. When I searched I found 3 links: 1 2 3Kindly, Muhammed Zakhir

This OP was one of the reasons I was out of of the mining game last 2 months. Too many scams, copy/clone, liars, amateur/no skilled devs, greed and retardation. Couldn't handle it anymore, completely burned. The complete opposite of what crypto could be in my opinion.
Now 2 months later the whole game has changed, I see new algorithms, new exchanges, new features, coins being build from scratch, innovation. It looks better now. Or did nothing change but the "marketing package" and do I have to do a lot more reading?
(I mined HBN last 2 months and sold 60% at 50000, I was lucky there.)
Making new coins is good in my opinion but cheating them in disguise of a dev is worst thing. You told greed was there 2 months ago, I think greed has poisoned people becoming skilled devs and then cheating through that disguise now more than 2 months ago. I don't know when we can put an end to this. I think it is quite natural like a coin. Everything has two sides, the individuals must choose the side they belong. I think we should only look at the top 10-20 coins. The rest don't really deserve talking about.
I don't agree with your statement although I understood the point you are trying to prove. There people who like to develop new coins but not to cheat, they must be encouraged rather than disappointing them. I know the scams have increased but that doesn't mean we have to disappoint devs. Kindly, Muhammed Zakhir

Only coinbase transactions are subject to an enforced confirmation delay (100 or 120, not so sure anymore). Armory depends on BitcoinQt so it bends by its rules. You can even spend 0 confirmation transactions with Armory, unless you force it to ignore ZC.
While transactions will require a depth of 6 blocks to be displayed as confirmed in the UI, Armory won't prevent you from creating a transactions with low confirmation UTXO. Generally, the coin selection algorithm prefers older UTXO, so unless you have very few available outputs in your wallet, you will most likely never spend off of a low conf transactions.
Thanks for telling that! When I saw the below post, I was thinking not to use Armory. Have you yet developed an option to remove the 6 confirmation limit? if you are a frequent user of your wallet, waiting for 6 confirmations to spend coins can be a huge waiting process.

Being a newbie is not easy here.. i see how you guys are They just make new coins as stated in the above posts. When they get enough Bitcoins through donations and all, they get many Bitcoins. After sometime they stop making that coin. So this post is banning such users to protect other users from being cheated. lol i was thinking the same thing! I feel so self-concious being a newbie. Oh well. I have so many questions but if i announce them people will think that im retarded I am a newbie too. So ask your questions without fear. Kindly, Muhammed Zakhir

As I mentioned in my above post, that is how much the site makes for just the bottom ad. You can find a few more google ads on the page, and so the total ad revenue should be much much higher. Yes, you are right. Most of the faucet owners want to get profit from their faucet, they aren't entirely honest with us. I am not telling about all owners. I hope a better faucet will come soon.
