You should download (via torrent) bootstrap.dat and put it in the Bitcoin data directory (usually C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Bitcoin). Then start up Bitcoin Core and it will read the blockchain from there. You should download the bootstrap.dat torrent and put it in the Bitcoin data directory (usually C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Bitcoin). Then start up Bitcoin Core and it will read the blockchain from there. Well you dont put the torrent in that directory (which is only correct if you use windows anyway). You open it with your favorit bittorrent tool and put the bootstrap.dat in the that directory. Make sure bitcoin is not running when you copy it there and start normally. It will not download the complete blockchain but a big part of it. You can also use another client like electrum or multibit that does not need the whole blockchain. They setup in a few minutes and are ready to go. Thanks! Yeah I know I must download the files via torrent. I am using both Multibit and Bitcoin-qt. Bitcoin-qt for solo mining. My main BTC address is in Multibit. I am thinking about exporting that into Bitcoin-qt via Pywallet. Kindly, Muhammed Zakhir

Hello! Is there any easiest way to download whole blockchain? If there is any torrent file it would be better for me. I found a few ways to boost syncing speed but you know it takes a lot of time. Kindly, Muhammed Zakhir

The bottleneck with synching is not your CPU but your bandwith. You can however speed up the starting proccess by lowering checkblocks from 288 to e.g. 100 or even 10.
Thanks! Can you tell me how to do it? Kindly, Muhammed Zakhir

It's Bytecoin (BCN). They claim to have been around "on the dark web" for two years and then suddenly launched forth into the light in March (with 82% of the coins already mined). I went into a fair amount of detail as to why I think we should dispute their 2 year claim in this thread. Incidentally, we forked BCN and create Monero a while back, which is based on the same CryptoNote protocol, but obviously has a blockchain that has had many observers from launch (and is already diverging from BCN's reference implementation as we rapidly improve it). Thanks for this! Kindly, Muhammed Zakhir

Chat is a matter of taste. For bank transfers you can leave a message, as well, so it would be useful to link the message more closely with the payment. I think Bitcoin wallets could in general use a better design and this looks good to me!
Yeah! It looks great! For nice people chat would be helpful but if it comes in wrong hands, hacks might come through it. If you make chat as a sub app, it may reduce the problem. I hope it will come in future . Kindly, Muhammed Zakhir

I think it will go above $1000 this time. It is now above $600. I suggest you to buy BTC as fast as you can and wait till the price get higher. Then sell it! If you do this you will get a great profit. HAPPY EARNING!!! Kindly, Muhammed Zakhir

BTC moves too quick for real arbitrage (e.g. buy BTC on BTC-E, sell on Bitstamp, withdraw fiat and re-deposit on BTC-E). But since the spread narrows and widens, you can take advantage by, for instance, buying on BTC-E, selling on Bitstamp, and waiting for the spread to close before buying and sending back to BTC-E.
Thanks, Sir! . It is a good statement for making profit with BTC . Kindly, Muhammed Zakhir

Sorry, just a quick reply (got to run...), there is a sample .conf file on the same wiki page. Did you have look? You can edit it using notepad for example.
Every line with a # will be ignored. Lines without # will be processed.
Also, as mentioned before, what are you trying to achieve?
Its okay. I want to increase syncing speed with -dbcache ( something like that, I am in other computer, I don't remember the command correctly). Anyway thanks for helping! Kindly, Muhammed Zakhir

Thanks! Can you tell me how to do it? I didn't understand how to do it from the link you gave me. I know where should I put the conf file but don't know what should I write inside it. Kindly, Muhammed Zakhir

It is kind of weird that they haven't even acknowledged that there is a problem. Usually they address it publicly right away. I can get to Blockchain.info but not their blog. That website doesn't even connect...
Yeah! I can get into blockchain.info . Did anybody reported the problem to them? Kindly, Muhammed Zakhir

Hello! I saw many commands in Bitcoin-qt but I don't know how to use it. Can you explain me how to use it? I am not telling about the commands we get when we enter 'help' in the console (eg:- importprivkey etc...) , I am telling about the commands we get from click 'Command Options' at the bottom. ( eg:- -? ) Kindly, Muhammed Zakhir
