1701  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Bitminter bitcoin mining pool - Pays TxFees, Merged Mining, Fair PPLNS rewards on: October 29, 2014, 12:43:47 PM

Jeez... 24 hours+ and still nothing. Has this happened before were a block has taken this long to find?

Yes, many times. Nothing extraordinary here.

I'm honestly getting ready to jump ship and move to another pool.

We are kind of use to this. The law of average will make the rest of us stick here ;-)

interrested in the controller if this transaction failed ;-)  (the controller)
1703  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [DIY] - Reward $100 | Antminer S1/S3 Blade on Raspberry Pi on: October 23, 2014, 08:49:13 PM
very curious to see this project's success. would love a controller for multiple blades.  can't wait anymore.  we're running out of time :-)

I tried to find some used control board or heatsinks. it is impossible apparently Tongue

Anyone know what kind of cables i can buy to connect my future boards to the controller ?  I will be getting one for sure !

I'm also trying to figure out an alternative to the existing heatsink... I will probably underclock at the most possible but i will still need some kind of heatsink i'm sure.

Thanks !

I'll try to offer some cables. we discussed about the connectors earlier in the thread with CHAOSITEC, and I posted the references of the connectors and crimp pins if you want to make them yourself.
The project is meant to be as close to open source as possible.

I now have the revised PCBs in hand, I'll try to work on them tomorrow, worst case will be on monday.

Yeah the links were broken for me. (No product)

Great news !

Bump ! Tongue
1706  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTS - 4 Antminer S1 boards only - untested on: October 21, 2014, 07:13:26 PM
Do they have the heatsinks?
If so, I'll give .1 and pay for shipping.
No heatsinks, just boards.
That's a tough sell, considering whole units were going for $25 last week. Smiley

Not trying to be negative. Though maybe if you are undervolting, they could get by with some fans?

I'm not sure, I think undervolted they are stil going up to like 30 degrees with heatsink.

I would say, no.

I've decided to give them to Herb since he was the first to hit me up.  No point in trying to sell them, even though I paid 50 for them, it is what it is.

Thanks, added a trust vote for you.
1707  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BITMAIN‘s Liquid Cooled Miner C1: It is not only cool, but it is cool on: October 21, 2014, 06:31:51 PM
The C1 controller appears to be based on the Beaglebone Black (BBB) open source design which has a 1Ghz Sitara.. this should make the web interface of the C1 much more responsive than what is experienced with the S3 miner.

This picture shows a fully populated BBB, it's safe to assume the included BBB will be a board stripped down to the essential components to run the C1 miner.. however, if your board ever failed it would be easy to replace with a BBB.

The S2 used this stripped down BBB as well.  I believe a number of S2 owners replaced that controller with a "full" BBB.

Bitmain is telling that the S3 controller cannot be use for the S1 board, but the S2 and S4 use a similar one ?

I'm confuse ... anyone tried a BBB with some S1 ?
1708  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [DIY] - Reward $100 | Antminer S1/S3 Blade on Raspberry Pi on: October 21, 2014, 04:11:01 PM
Soooooo, i took a look at the current PCB and BOM files that Bitmaintech put on github.

For like 100 units, it will cost at least 30$ each. I don't think producing the current board will be economically viable Tongue

I had to check !
1709  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Bitminter bitcoin mining pool - Pays TxFees, Merged Mining, Fair PPLNS rewards on: October 21, 2014, 03:17:20 PM
FWIW, I'm leaving the pool.  I can't afford to do all those shifts with no payout.  Not sure why it had to change, but if I see:

being paid now
being paid now
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
being paid now
0.00000000

I can assume the last 11 shifts were for nothing.

Really liked the old pool better...

It's just a matter of shorter shifts. We went from 12 hours to 3 hours so that's pretty much normal. We got a bunch of new Hashrate with the shorter shift but we are more sensitive to the hashrate rollercoster now. Meaning that during our luck a huge jump in hastrate will cut our BTC payment way much faster then before (12 hours to erase a shift vs 3 hours). More hashrate means more blocks too tho Wink

It's just that before a 5 days block will pretty much got paid for all the 12 hours shifts which is it not the case anymore.

I'm fine with Doc decision but I also understand your point of view.

I can sell you one whole s1.

No thanks, i'm looking especially for the controller board but they are rare...
1711  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [DIY] - Reward $100 | Antminer S1/S3 Blade on Raspberry Pi on: October 21, 2014, 01:29:46 PM
The significance of this project is already dead or being dead.
What you guys think?

I Disagree. undervolt them with cheap electricity = win (add some fun too Wink )
1712  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [DIY] - Reward $100 | Antminer S1/S3 Blade on Raspberry Pi on: October 21, 2014, 01:12:04 PM
If Bitmain confirmed that we could use one existing S1 controller for 8 blades. Why don't they share the info to do it ?

The chips used in the controller board have 4 TX/RX lanes, so 4 boards would have been possible, if they were all connected (only 2 are)
At a time, Bitmain were speaking of a new controller that will allow more boards (up to 8?), but they never released anything.

Thanks for the answer ! :-)

1714  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: 3x Rockminer T1s for sale on: October 21, 2014, 05:05:56 AM
I was high bidder of the auction for all 3 sets - wanted to complete the purchase and still will.
Will pm now to attempt to complete the deal that he setup for auction.
The literal cheapest you could get these for with psus included is 4.07btc. How did i get to this number? Come with me on a journey of logic and reason.

3x Corsair RM1000 @170$ each = 510$ or 1.33BTC

3x Rockminer T1s @ 349$ each=1047$ or 2.736BTC
Bitcoin price at 382 as of right now 10/21/14

Total price? 4.07

FREE SHIPPING IN USA (excl. Alaska Hawaii)

I do not see how you bid 2.55 total, bitcoins are not worth as much as you must presume.

Blackheart will get first opportunity to this offer, if he denies then i will sell to next buyer

Used stuff at full price. I will pass

What about the controllers boards ? You should have one per 2 blades.
1720  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTS - 4 Antminer S1 boards only - untested on: October 19, 2014, 02:41:19 AM
do you have the controllers board / where do you ship from / any pictures ?

Also, do they have the PCI-E connectors ?
