1525  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Antminer S3 or SP20 from Canada on: February 10, 2015, 03:42:44 PM
You only pay custom fees when you order from outside Canada. No taxes

If he reselling his stuff through a company of his own, that would force him to add the additional local taxes.

Mines are running at 250W, cable just a bit warn...

what awg and room themp?
thx

Corsair RM 1000 spec => All PCIe connectors, on the other hand, use 16AWG

Room temp is like 24-26 degrees but the miner are next to a window and it's like -15 outside Tongue
1527  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: February 09, 2015, 05:59:30 PM
For the SP20, don't get PCIe connectors start to melt when you are running them? Arent they pulling 300W each?

Wasn't this a huge issue with the KNCMIners in the past and it was a fire hazard.

I don't think you can really push them over 300 WATT per PCI-E. Spec say 288 max.

Mines are running at 250W, cable just a bit warn...

Maximum power output – each SP20 requires 1152 W RMS continuous power. Spoondoolies-Tech recommends adding a 20% margin to handle power peaks
1528  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer S3 Overclocking on: February 09, 2015, 05:53:46 PM
Beware that not all the S3 can be OC.

You might have of the many units that don't.

Also, make sure you use 4 PCI-E and not just 2. (This is very important)
1529  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: PDU on: February 09, 2015, 05:51:51 PM
thanks again for all this additional information guys !

I guess i'm going to find a cheap PDU backup just in case my main one failed.

Thanks

Sooo i got one my SP20E that i reported to have CGminer to restart once in a while. This time the same thing happen but the last chain(2-3) is now always disabled. Tried a soft reboot and didnt't work. will try a full power off once i have access to it.

Anyone else experiences something like this ?

I cant manage to get a screenshot onto this post, i will try and explain a bit better with more info, its very kind of you all to help :-)

On Ant miner i can configure 3 pools using stratum.bitcoin.cz:3333 stratum2.bitcoin.cz:3333 stratum3.bitcoin.cz:3333 as the url codes, i then add my workers as my login+login sufix.... i click to save and apply and then i reboot my machine, on Ant miner it comes come with all 3 alive but only top one working making figures, when i go to my pool BITCOINCZ Mining and click workers the first one says ok and next two read error as status and never mine at all, am i maybe missing something easy?? I think im getting a good speed at 1.2-1.3th/s? JUst my only miner has run in all for around 3 solid days overall and has earnt only 0.05 of a bitcoin which i believe is very little, i did try to add to other pools but without knowing what im doing it didnt work well and i just wasted time and managed to down all my workers...... Note to myself, i was right when i used to avoid computers :-)

Your current configuration for your pool is set to rollover after a failure.

Meaning, the miner will always mine at the first pool then will try the second one if the first fail.

I think there is way to mine like 33% for each of the 3 pool if you want. just not sure how to do it. But you won't be able to mine all 3 at the same time, it will be one after one.

And one miner can only mine on one worker per pool. (Meaning the one you set in your config)

As for your earning, it depends on how your pool reward works. No idea for BITCOINCZ
1535  Bitcoin / Mining support / PDU on: February 05, 2015, 07:00:59 PM
I'm about to install a dedicated 240v line for my miner at home. (Canada)

Going for 30 amp.

I'm looking for a PDU solution that doesn't cost to much $$$.

All i need is C13 connectors for my ATX PSU. (Like 10 would be great)

Any suggestion ?

Thanks.
1536  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S3+ Discussion and Support Thread on: February 04, 2015, 07:32:22 PM
What is the physical difference between a S3 and a S3+ . How can I identify a S3 from a S3+ with the newest firmware installed. I own both that is why I am asking. Thanks in advance

There is a sticker in front of the unit saying S3+ => https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=921010.0

They had an issue with the DC/DC converter in the S3 which they kind of fixed with the S3+. Not sure you can see a physical difference on the DC/DC converter with your eyes. Maybe someone can point you out something on the board but i can't. I don't own an S3+.

I own both and theres no sticker that says S3+ on it unless you mean the warranty sticker that can be removed.

Strange, the link I posted show a S3+ sticker in front of the unit, i'm pretty sure I have one too at home that show S3.

Maybe they removed it from batch to batch ...
