You can consider S19(antminer) or whatsminer M30 which is popular in Russia. WhatsApp ID:+86 13917517268
Scam Alert ! OP, you should have a look one the Hardware section of this Mining forum. You will find all the answers you are looking for, but as the others said, IMO to find a good seller is at least as important as the brand of your ASIC

On the bitcoin wiki, I've just read that we could mine testnet blocks on solo ckpool If you find a block, 99% of the 6.25 BTC + transaction fees get generated directly at your bitcoin address. 1% goes to the operator to operate the pool and contribute to further ckpool code development.
For testnet:
If you find a block, 100% of the testnet coins + transaction fees get generated directly at your bitcoin address.
Link : https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Solo.ckpoolWas it possible previously or is it a mistake ? I was not aware that testnet blocks were solvable via ckpool

Great advice. Coding an ESP Miner to test it correctly, is a pain. [...] that's a lot of grunt work to be done.
For sure; it was never going to be easy! But I'm sure we can get it done as a group. I will have lots more free time pretty soon. All the components are already here, except BM1397. I had troubles finding them at a reasonable price and shipping speed and now I have none. The biggest problem i have encountered is the support and community for xtensa-esp32s3 using rust is minimal or non-existent at best. i have tested some simple ESP miner code on my ESP32-S3-WROOM-2-N32R8V Dev board that i have and it runs fast but that is without it communicating or mining on BM1397 chips. Next step will be to try adapt this minimal testing code to communicate and mine on BM1397 chips and use it on the onboard ESP32-S3-WROOM-1-N16R8V on my ESP mining board.
I think I'll start with the Stratum connection and that side of things (using regular ESP-IDF), since again: I don't have ASIC chips yet. Hey ! I can send you a lot of old S9 / S9k hashboard if needed ! For free, I juste don't want to pay the shipping but I don't care about the boards

In case anyone was thinking about mining at mmpool.org: Do not mine at mmpool.org
admin@mmpool has not replied to any of the several emails sent to him since 28 December 2022.
By the way, I might have accepted the missing block scenario he describes in his news post. It might have been a way to move forward if this wasn't already full of lies and fraud. It might have resulted in a large payout to me. It is a shame that I wasn't asked if that was ok despite being owed so much and despite my several attempts by email to continue the conversation. If he had posted that here on BTF back at 16 December 2022, then we might still be mining right into his next fraud.
Instead, I have found his location and let him know that location via email. Then he posted the latest news entry with more facts for you all. I'll hire an investigator and a lawyer in his english-speaking home country (far from Sweden!) to follow up on my behalf. He doesn't want to engage directly, so I now have to invest more to continue the conversation in person.
In the best-case scenario, the admin is negligent and he has allowed a thief to steal the reward of the last round while also neglecting his community of miners. In the worst-case scenario, the admin is the thief.
I won't mine at mmpool.org and you shouldn't either.
I wish you the best for your researches. I hope you will find him
I am personnaly still thinking that mmpool is the thief. So easy no ? Steal 100K USD and post 2 emails without any proof on your own website, it doesn't look to be so complicated. Good reward for the efforts done, no ? An honest pool operator would not ignore his users emails, especially emails from the user who solved 90% of the last blocks. I agree with ctya, no one should point any hashrate to Mmpool, why should we trust him again ? We have NO PROOF that he is not telling us absolute bullshit on his news webpage. He is not able to give us security, and probably did a crazy exist scam. Why should we give him the opportunity to fuck us twice ? I really hate this lack of transparency from mmpool. He could do an exception to his "Bitcointalk boycott" and come here to explain us how he managed to have such vulnerabilities on his server when his hosts a BTC mining pool. Crazy

The payout system is very interesting but I don't feel confortable with the idea of the bans.

To make a wallet can be very profitable,(You can make good money from transaction fees) but today people are very e carefule where store money without being safe from hacker.Everyone stays away from the new and untested. So it's hard to attract people.
Fees are going to miners, not to the wallet devs. Hello, I have some questions and please answer to them by number:
1- Which programming language is good for Blockchain programming? Is Rust-Lang good?
2- Can making a wallet be profitable?
Any idea welcome.
1. C++, Rust, Solidity (outside BTC) 2. In my opinion, the only way to make money with a wallet is to sell it, and I don't know who is going to agree to pay for a wallet (not open source) as we all have Electrum Why would we pay for a risky option when we have a trustable free one ? Wish you a nice day guys, and a happy new year 2023

Is ckpool still alive and operational? I joined the amateur home miner class with a FutureBit Apollo full node+miner and an extra miner attached for a total of 6 Th/s and I have been pointing it to solo.ckpool.org:3333 for the past few months but saw another thread that said the pool was closed in May 2020.
Solo ckpool is operationnal Ckpool (non-solo) is not The only working ckpool is https://solo.ckpool.org/

S9 w Braiins OS+ - haven't been able to connect to Zergpool. I think I'm missing some bit of syntax in the pool info. I am currently running a gekko setup with CGminer, an Apollo, and a couple of CPU's with XMRig - all on zergpool successfully. S9 is currently on another pool and I've mined on CK solo with it before. I've tried everything I can think of to move the S9/Braiins+ to zergpool and it always comes up Pool Dead. I think I'm just missing something with the syntax. Has anyone else experienced this? Interested in assisting my troubleshooting? currently Pool URL: stratum+tcp://sha256.mine.zergpool.com:3333 username: bc1...(wallet addess)....zw3gs Password: c=BTC, ID=ShaRightS9
Had the same issue with mmpool and Braiins OS (with a Antminer R4, flashed with S9's firmware) some time ago I don't find it again but I think I saw Kano explaining on the forum that some pool refuses braiins os (maybe because of the modified cgminer or i don't know ?)

Ok, last week I bought 2 S9 asic antminers and was so super excited!! Was.... Lol. I cant figure out what to do to mine. I don't know where to put "script" let alone how to make said script do its thing. I don't know how to code, but am a fast learner, and have figured some things out pretty fast. Its just that I am at a brick will now. Let me break the first miner down.
I have hiveon on this miner, I think, lol. I have go and filled out wallet information and a flight sheet. Do I need to go back to miner configuration and put the url and such or is the flight sheet going to take care of all of it? Also, once I have the flightsheet completed, go to the rocket ship up top and to the right, connect that to my worker and hit appy, is there anything else i do to get the S9 mining? I have a ton of other questions, but these will help. sorry Im such a noob!!!
Did you check the official manual ? It will help a lot 3. Setting Up the Miner https://www.zeusbtc.com/manuals/user-manuals/AntMiner-S9-Installation-Guide.pdf

I will try this tomorrow.
I wanted to open a twitter account, but I have the feeling that I will have to migrate to another platform sooner or later. I've read a lot of good things about nostr, but it looks highly controversial. I want to make my own opinion
