2201  Economy / Gambling / Re: shame on the stake on: March 08, 2023, 09:34:03 PM
That is why many members are skeptical to believe any kinds of accusation to any establishment unless they had shown a solid evidence but at the same time never look down on new accounts because some newly created account have a legit case where they are really got scam by a casino since they have a solid evidence in hand.  Aside from online casino players are all around the world and many of them are not a member of this forum.

True, he can just whine or share his disappointment but he should not bad mouth or accused a a platform of being a scam when the platform only did what they believe is the right thing according to the TOS.

Absolutely, I agree with you. I don't want to blame OP in any way, but he expects the casino to respect the contract they made when he placed his bet. So it's also up to him to read the contract in question, which in this case is the terms and conditions of the platform.
If you don't want any unpleasant surprises, you should read the conditions before accepting them. In the worst case scenario, if a problem arises during a slot game or bet that is not covered by the terms and conditions, you are within your rights to make a claim and may be entitled to a refund or free bets as compensation.

Crying scam when a reputable online betting and casino operator complies with the terms and conditions to the letter, seems pointless to me, as no one is forcing anyone to place bets. Furthermore, the problem described by OP is common to many different platforms.

2204  Bitcoin / Mining / Is this the future of BTC mining? Terawulf and nuclear energy on: March 07, 2023, 05:27:05 PM
As per the this article from Bitcoin Magazine, I've learned that Terawulf launched a nuclear powered mining operation.

0.02 usd per kw/h with a 5 years stability (regarding the price)

Quote
“The Nautilus nuclear-powered mining facility benefits from what is arguably the lowest cost power in the sector, just $0.02/kWh for a term of five years,” Prager commented.

Only 1.9 Eh/s for now, but I think that we will see more and more nuclear powered mining farms in the near future.

What could be the disadvantages ? Ecological, cheap and stable power is litteraly the ultimate dream for mining farm's owners.

2208  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🛑 Sherbet.com 🍭 - #1 Social Casino & Sportsbook - PVP - $500 Deposit Bonus 🤑 on: March 07, 2023, 04:41:54 PM

A short time ago I had an experience that I did not like with a casino that I will not name for very obvious reasons, but when I asked for help with a problem that I had, they did not give it to me, they told me that I had to comply with the KYC so that the problem could be solved, the truth seemed to me an abuse, but each casino has its way of doing things and that is something that is respected, but it is not fair, it is a lot like exchanges, they force you to have the kyc and forced stuff is not very good.

I understand what you're saying but at the same time, it's up to the user to read the terms and conditions before signing up, or at least before making any deposits. If the terms of use do not specify anything, you are in theory within your good rights to refuse any Compliance or KYC measures, but there are only few websites that do not cover themselves with this.

Personally, when it comes to casino and betting, being KYC reassures me. If a casino doesn't ask me for any KYC, any verification or any justification, I will always have doubts about the real seriousness of the casino in question, always a fear that it will make an exit scam. It is like a big red flag for me.

Afterwards, in general, most regulators let you withdraw cryptos without KYC to get your funds back, isn't that the case for you?
The rare cases where they impose it (in most markets/regulations) to withdraw only cryptos, is when there is a suspicion of money laundering, terrorist financing, money dumping etc..

But overall, in most regulated markets, KYC is as much a security as a constraint for the end user, at least from my point of view.

2209  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Open Source Bitcoin ASIC miner project that uses 2x BM1387 (Antminer S9) on: March 07, 2023, 04:16:09 PM

There is tons of good stuff out there on youtube. I realize it can be tough in the beginning when you don't even know what words to google. Here is a good video on SMD PCB soldering to get you started; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qyDRHI4YeMI

Maybe make a new thread about your learning project, and hit me up if you have any questions. Tips, tricks, tools, supplies, whatever questions you have. Then maybe you can make that how-to video!

also: the fastest way to learn is to just get started. goof it up a couple times. overcome analysis paralysis.

Thank you for your answer, and for the link you shared.

You're absolutely right, once I get started I'm sure I'll progress little by little, but as you say, I'm currently at the stage where I need to demystify the basics so I can start getting into the nitty gritty things.
I won't hesitate to post my questions in a new thread if I get stuck somewhere.

I'll stop polluting your topic here and will continue to follow it, good luck and keep up the good work  Smiley
2210  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: How to view Stratum Data for an ASIC on: March 07, 2023, 04:10:46 PM
If you are worried about Bitcoin, you should say something about the spam that started polluting the mempool since Feb 6, AND those behind it...

Excuse me for being off topic, but I wonder: I think we all agree here that Ordinals is an abomination for Bitcoin. But am I the only one who thinks that there is a possibility that this is orchestrated by owners of big mining pools?
Who are the winners besides these people? Look at the fees on recent blocks: 0.25 BTC, 0.21 BTC, 0.28 BTC...

I know in the past there were bigger fees, like block 500500 with  9.993 BTC of fees 5 years ago. But now I don't see how they can go down until this NFT delirium stops.
I feel like we are entering a mempool bottleneck, and I have a feeling that the only winners are those who mine multiple blocks a day.

I'd love to hear the point of view from people involved in pools, I imagine your perspective must be more fair and more realistic than mine.

Roll Eyes

Je me sens moins seul  Grin

2212  Economy / Gambling / Re: I got frusted please help? on: March 06, 2023, 04:32:39 PM
Finding best casino is very hard for me
I want to play with small amount but i am not getting a best casino
requirements:
1. minimum withdraw amount should be less than 10$ or 10$
2. no wager requirement before withdrawing
2. no min deposit amount
4. provably fair or live casino

As others have already told you, I also confirm that from my point of view, a casino offering :

-no wager requirement before withdrawing
-no min deposit amount

would probably be a casino that would have a very high risk of exit scam, and would be out of any protection for the customer/end user. This would therefore involve a very risky business for both parties and I can't see a configuration where it would be beneficial overall.

Better to find the casino that most closely matches what you are looking for, and then adapt a bit to their rules and options.

Too much risk on top of the fact that gambling is already risky, it seems excessively unwise to me.
2213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are you planning to accumulate for 2025 on: March 06, 2023, 04:27:31 PM
I think that privacy coins will have a better chance of having their moment of glory in the next bullrun than AIs. I agree with you, although I don't rule out that I'm wrong, AI related coins seem to be in a current hype that may fade away even before 2025 or 2024 Q4. Who knows ?

After that it's always hard to guess and predict what the prices will be. Who could have predicted what Dogecoin would do what he did if we went back to 2018 for example?

Personally, I don't put anything related to AI in my portfolio, I have a feeling people won't be focused on it for a long time yet, but I will continue to watch the market more or less closely.
2214  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: NiceHash is paying 6% more than mining Bitcoin traditionally on: March 06, 2023, 04:22:22 PM
I insist once again, but I am convinced that your Easy Mining service is going to be the thing which will kill you in the hashrate rental business in the long term.

It is becoming more and more complicated to have a stable and continuous rental, the auction price is always pulled extremely high by these Easy Mining rentals, and I won't be surprised when someone opens a platform with a more fluid service.

1. Your customers who pay for Easy Mining packages pay an exorbitant price per Eh/s, it's borderline dishonest but let's move on.
2. The customers who rent hashrate take a back seat. You get paid a pretty high fee for the service, and it's very difficult not to be able to have a profitable PPS if you want a pretty continuous hashrate

Your only chance at the moment, is that MRR is even more overpriced than you are. But we all know that abusing your monopoly can lead to disaster.

Great DIY project. I'm totally new to fabricating my own boards, but I fix asic miners and have a bunch of spare BM1397 chips I've extracted.

Is there a tutorial of how to make these boards?

Anyone interested in starting a telegram channel for this?

thx

Check out the “Building” section down at the bottom of the readme; https://github.com/skot/bitaxe#building

If you have any other questions, you can ask for help in the “discussion” section on GitHub.

Would you accept to film the whole process if you have some time to spend on it ? I would send you some funds with pleasure to cover the time spent doing it. if not, any good youtube recommandation to start from 0 ?
I never did anything related to soldering and to PCBs until now. The only experience I have with soldering  is replacing the burnt 6 pins of my hashboards, I am a little bit lost to be honest..

I am thinking for a while to start with the project of building a bitaxe and would like to be prepared as much as possible.
Anyway, thank you this project!

"... they don't mention about KYC ..." - I do not understand - we talk about having no KYC everywhere, here in posts, all over the site - literally everywhere - did I misunderstand what you are asking for ?

I am very much on the operator and developer team of the site - the only reason I used an AFF link in the signature was so i could track which clicks came from here. I have now removed it making it a naked link (honestly i did not even consider it would make me look less genuine), it makes no difference to me so it is gone - I am not a 3rd party to this.

To be clear, we do NOT require KYC - we will NEVER require KYC - this is the ethos we have decided, and this is what we will stick to Smiley
I'm just answering a question from a friend in the forum actually I don't mind your referral link, if it's to track traffic from this forum, I think we have the answer now, your quick response is worth appreciating, it's enough for me to see the quality of your site from the response you quickly answer the questions and doubts of people in this forum.  Wink

Actually having an affiliate link on signature space is allowed and pretty normal that other casino is doing to track the number of clicks from the forum. Questioning it is a bit absurd since he is not spamming the link on his post.

I’m more concerned on how we can verify how genuine this casino to be affiliated to the physical casino since they don’t have license or any legal proof that will make them an official partner.

I ask myself exactly the same question.
This is always the problem when there is neither license nor regulation, I have a lot of trouble to take the first step to deposit on a site without license. No licence = a lot of question raised from my side.

Anyway the design of the site is not bad, I'm always admiring to see visually clean KYC free sites, I was used to see so little credible things when I was looking for gambling games / bets without KYC that yours seems indeed more professional than many others.

Will followup your work OP
