I wonder how pool operators are protecting their statums addresses from DDOS attacks I cannot find an answer on google about protecting stratum addresses from DDOS What am I missing ? I mean they can't just manualy ban the IPs addresses which are slowing down the pool. I imagine it could give a lot of work to pool OPs no ? Sorry for the newbie question, but as I know that some pool operator are present here, I hope that I will find a proper answer |

I think a USB live distro with encryption + persistance could do the trick. Electrum / pruned node on it
You can find 500GB usb, 1-2 TB sd cards
You can travel with your usb stick, and buy the cheapest laptop if needed once arrived / bring yours with a fresh OS install

Oui je suis d'accord, mais j'ai hâte que suffisamment de cycles soient passés pour que les gens comprennent enfin que du lending de stablecoins à 30% par exemple. n'est pas possible de manière cohérente et honnête.

I don't really know what to think about this topic.
On the one hand, nobody can officially say that Pool's OP will pay the blocks, and considering the amounts I understand that some are in doubt.
But for my part, I want to specify that I participated in a small scale to mine the testnet blocks of the pool. OP has of course paid me for them.
I'm willing to take the risk with some BCH blocks, this pool is the only one to offer this payment scheme.
It's really interesting a 50/50 for the block solver and the other pool members. If the pool stays small enough it will be profitable for small miners.
OP seems sincere to me, he may make some technical mistakes but he has the merit to try new things.
I'm glad to see someone finally proposing something different and possibly very smart if it works

I'm referring to this you linked:
In the 2nd post about my pool, he posted the full userlist on my pool (only available to members)
and wouldn't remove it when I requested (see my request and his ignoring it there also)
I ended up having to get a mod to resolve it as you can see the names have been obscured.
His comments about my pool and the fun run are false and he makes claims that are bullshit, trying to attack the pool coz he's upset about losing BTC to MRR who ripped him off.

Right, I've deleted the topic from my list. Thank you ! (yes MRR doesn't look very nice, their prices per Ph/s are crazy high !) I am more than happy that you Kano did all this work on your pool and on Gekkos softwares. I wouldn't broadcast any infos which make you inconfortable or which are just total bullshit.
