Thank you very much to both of you!

This is exactly what I was looking for, I don't know why I had never actually seen Watchlist until now! This is going to be so much more comfortable Grin Grin Grin
2422  Other / Off-topic / Re: Your Responsibility to Change your life. on: January 28, 2023, 08:08:39 AM

Hello Mates,
I am writing a post and a important thing comes to my mind that we are only person that responsible for our financial status , and dont make excuses that we belongs to poor family,
If we are wasting our time on social media and not doing any work for changing your financial status then you are a looser , a lazy Looser who is passing his time for a poor death and give his children this poor life again ,
YOU ARE BORN POOR ITS NOT YOUR FAULT BUT IF YOU DIE POOR IT YOUR FAULT .

I understand the idea, but I won't try to say that to my neighbours. Here the minimum salary is 300usd per month, and some people cannot change of social "rank" because of their ethnicity.

Everyone can do some changes and could try to save money or BTC, but not everyone will do it with success. It is not working like that in some places. This is the reason I think your idea is not fully true

2424  Other / Meta / It could be cool to be able to ignore / mute a topic on: January 28, 2023, 07:59:04 AM
It could be very nice to be able to mute a topic

I always use the "Show new replies to your posts" link at the top, trying to follow some topics. But even when I click on "unwatch", the topic continues to come again and again in "Show new replies to your posts"

Any way to avoid it ?

I saw that I was mentioned here thanks to the bot, so I just discovered the existence of this topic. Thank you @LoyceV for creating this topic and for what you're doing for the whole community. I take this opportunity to thank you because I spend a lot of time reading the topics you have created, and I am impressed by the quantity and quality of the work done here

I already paid for some bureks in Slovenia with BTC

This is already next level Cheesy Paying for burek in BTC Grin I hope it could compete with the Bosnian one, Slovenians are not particularly known for their pastry.

Hahaha yeah, you know when we talk about Bureks I am a sort of maniac Grin I even own a BTC address related to (1Burek87Lx48SR97fN8HJvGwTEBQMxjWpH). In 2019, I took 8 months to travel through Balkans with the idea to find the best burek ever
Slovenian ones are not crazy yeah, but you can find excellent Mesni and Gorenjska bureks near Kranj  !

As you said for bureks, Bosnia is the best place to eat on earth IMO  Grin

I already paid for some bureks in Slovenia with BTC, it was more to show to the seller how easy and cheap it was (at this time..)

But today, all the restaurants which are crypto friendly around me are focused on LTC and BCH (I am in Eastern Europe)

2430  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [∞ YH] solo.ckpool.org 2% fee solo mining 268 blocks solved! on: January 26, 2023, 01:07:18 PM

can someone explain what the last line means and what the numbers express?
Quote
[2023-01-20 10:27:52.118] Block solved after 69815559814517 shares at 185.7% diff

69815559814517 is the total of work did by all the miners on solo.ckpool.org to solve the block. So very unlucky block, almost twice the difficulty of shares submitted

If Diff is for example 20T and you submitted 40T shares when you solve the block, you had a 200% luck
If Diff is for ex 20T and you submit 10T, 50% luck

EDIT : What I wrote here is very approximative, as the difficulty changes over time
2431  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Hosted versus mining pool on: January 25, 2023, 03:48:29 PM
Oh that shouldn't be a issue but yes your right no doubt certain histers receive kickbacks from mining pools

You can't mine without a mining pool, the time people used BitcoinCore to mine is long dead ago. Even solo miners point their hashrate to solo pools

About the hosting question, you can manage your ASICs yourself, or you can buy one / send yours to some hosting companies. You will need to pay for electricity following their rates, and to pay for the service in general.

Everything depends of your skills, your average kw/h price, your opportunities to let run h24 noisy asics or not etc... Each situation is different, you are the only one to know the best solution in your own situation
2432  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: I am selling Antminer S 19 XP 134TH. What is more profitable ? on: January 25, 2023, 02:46:54 PM
Hello guys, I'm currently selling my Antminer S 19 XP 134TH Roll Eyes (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5436728.msg61652829#msg61652829). I have lost access to cheap electricity  Undecided and I think that I will invest money from the sale to buy BTC BitcoinsBTC. What miner can I buy more profitable for this money? ($4000) ? Or is it better to invest them in bitcoin?

Without cheap electricity buying BTC is probably the best option

How much do you pay per kw/h ?

4k for a S19 XP ?

Roll Eyes

Hey

What is exactly your problem ?

Your ASIC goes offline randomly ?

Can you paste here the logs (or use pastebin nevermind)
2436  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Open Source Bitcoin ASIC miner project that uses 2x BM1387 (Antminer S9) on: January 24, 2023, 12:23:07 PM
Edit: Mystery solved. Thermal pads seem to work fine thermally and insulate the chips electrically, at the same time.
The IC package is plated and electrically connected to local ground, which means that unless there's electrical insulation between the package and heatsink, you can cause shorts and break stuff. We use a 0.5mm 20W/k silicone pad to avoid shorts.
Doesn't silicone have low thermal conductivity? I would think electrically insulating and thermally conductive are tough material properties.
Indeed; all the products I could find made from silicone have thermal conductivity in the single digit W/mK range. It seems impressive to me that sidehack has access to pads with 20W/mK. I'll search online some more, later.

Couldn't we use this ? https://desktop.bg/thermal_pastes-thermal_grizzly-Conductonaut-thermal_grizzly_conductonaut_liquid_metal_1_gramm_TGC001R

2438  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: NiceHash is paying 6% more than mining Bitcoin traditionally on: January 23, 2023, 02:07:51 PM
žívijo @Nicehash  Cheesy

I appreciate the opportunity to talk with you directly.

I have rented a lot of hashrate from you. I am globaly satisfied of the hashrate marketplace,

I am a little disappointed about Nicehash actualy. Doesn't your Easymining program only serve to artificially inflate the price of rented Eh/s? The hashrate used by Easymining is always rented well above the average price on your site. This increases the auction price no ?

I mean if you rent hashrate to newbies, I agree that you need to take a fee, but to guarantee your Easyminers to have a constant hashrate, you place orders with super expensive price per Eh/s.

Other thing, I bought some Easymining packs to discover what you are proposing. In my previous position I had to analyse the hashrate rental's market. I bought a lot of Easymining because of this.  The screen showing your luck, is wrong. Almost every time the screen will show you "you submitted a share of x T difficulty, that's not possible.

I wish you a good day

Hallo, Freunde!  Cheesy
