Will you operate in competition with GLBSE or through it ?

Through it... for now.  If we are too displeased with GLBSE we may look for/fund alternatives soon.

Pirate is in quotes; I don't think he is running a ponzi.  This is an experiment.

0. Wallet starts at 0 BTC.
1. You can open an account by PMing me.  Deposits grow my ponzi wallet balance.
2. I will be crediting 10% a week, on Mondays.  You get partial interest if you deposited after Monday.  You may only deposit/withdraw on Mondays.
3. I will not actually be making any money to pay this "interest."  When I run out of money in my ponzi wallet (and only then), I will post publicly that the experiment has ended and I am bankrupt.
4. Last withdrawal request is filled by however much money is left in my ponzi wallet at the time.

Due to an obvious demand, I have increased the interest rate to 10%!

I just want to note that I pride myself on having never bought a security for at or above market price Smiley
Kluge here can't say the same (sorry Kluge), but he's sticking to this policy too, now.

1090  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Great Spring Stability of 2012 on: May 24, 2012, 05:40:29 PM

What I'm concerned with is the market depth, because how much money I get for my bitcoins or how many bitcoins I get for my money is more closely related to the market depth than it is to the fancy ticker number.

Okey dokey, captain high-pockets  Roll Eyes Grin

Point taken, that was a douchey thing of me to say.

At least we know what ball-park you play in now Wink

proudhon sure did turn his frown upside down Shocked

Hello,

Thank you for mentioning this.  It appears to be a glitch in our system and we will be canceling those invalid trades.  Our apologies for the confusion caused and thank you for your kind understanding in this matter.

CBH: What.

He believes in Bitcoin, but not enough to risk hundreds of thousands of USD on it.  Are you really going to question that decision?
1095  Economy / Gambling / Re: Biggest Jackpots at Bitcoinduit on: May 24, 2012, 02:24:12 AM
Bitcoinduit is shutting down temporarily due to a Linode maintenance event.  We will be back up soon!

It looks like you would get severe pain in your back and neck after about 30 minutes of using that thing. If you don't believe me, try holding up your hands in front of the monitor for a minute straight. You can move them around a bit if you like. I you feel awkward, just pretend you are conducting an orchestra. Now, after one minute, how do you feel?

When I use my smartphone, it annoys me that I can't really see where I'm pointing my fingers, because they are in the way of my eyes. Now, with this new gadget, I can get annoyed at my computer too, for the same reason!

A lot of people are going to buy one and never use it after the first half hour session Smiley

  • The government does have the authority to investigate and prosecute these cases
Yeah? Where did they get this authority from? Did we agree to this? Did we give our consent?
The State's authority comes from God, who is the source of all authority and life. God's rights are unlimited, and don't require your consent.
For those who believe not in God, lawlessness already exists.
Rather, for those delusional enough to deny God's existence, they find it easy to also deny the reality of lawful authority.

herp derp

Sometimes I think the entire fundie luke jr thing is just trolling since you are very intelligent in other ways, but I suppose indoctrination gets to the best of us.

Also, if God is the source of all authority, God is the source of all violence, which would make him very evil indeed.  Congratulations on justifying the reign of Hitler while you were at it.

I'm disappointed that I didn't get in on the pre-IPO.  It's one of the only pre-IPOs I haven't bought into. Sad

Good luck, though!
