No one at all sees the interestingly similar slopes/duration on a log chart that this rally/correction has/will have with the March rally/correction?

I predict a steady price decay in the next month, during which all the bears will be screaming "I TOLD YOU."

The bounty for buying this MBP is now 15 BTC.
That's an effective discount of $90! (well, a bit more.)

@Littleshop: I hope that this entices you to offer $700, since you offered $600 before.
1685  Economy / Goods / Re: WTS Macbook Pro! on: January 25, 2012, 06:06:23 PM
Hi everyone,

There is a 10 BTC bounty for buying this item... so you can consider that a discount if you are a prospective buyer.
I will be adding to this bounty later.
The bounty only applies if funds go through a reputable escrow like Maged, and then he gives kujoking's creditors their coins (with interest and late payment fees) before giving the rest to kujoking.

Is Maged willing to 'rip off' the seller and use the escrowed bitcoins for payments to other addresses? Is the seller aware of the conditions?
I may be missing some context / history, just want to buy an affordable laptop here.

It's not a rip off; the seller owes coins and those coins need to be paid to his creditors.
The seller is aware of the conditions and is willing to use escrow.

I call on bitscalper to release the total amount in deposits, a correct daily percentage yield for the entire deposited amount, and the size of their share of the profits.

This reminds me of the dreary week leading up to December 19, 2011.

Except there's no bullish wedge this time.

1700  Economy / Lending / Re: [Closed]Looking for 1 more loan 8.5 bitcoin on: January 24, 2012, 03:32:10 AM
I do not know why, but I find this whole BTC loaning thing very fascinating.  It is a study in human beings and behavior and how they deal (or don't deal) with money.

I guess the question we are asking here is:  can a new system for loaning money to pseudo-anonymous people be developed.

We have banks developing, and even a credit rating system on the way.  Seems to me, for better or worse, we are having to duplicate a lot of the same infrastructure that has been developed in the fiat lending industry.

Watching the Bitcoin economy in general grow out of its infancy is very interesting... you sort of think, "hey, there's that real-world system being duplicated/adapted to bitcoin," and it's somewhat exciting to watch a free parallel economy excel at the same things that are done with fiat.
