The market is an interesting place, because market activity never repeats itself. It does rhyme though, like the Mark Twain quote.
One can curve fit any indicator or methodology to the past and claim a holy grail, but the future is a different matter entirely.

The truth is, many of the well-known indicators do work in practice, even though they're "known." This is a common myth about technical analysis. In fact, the fact that many people follow them makes them self-perpetuating, which serves to reinforce their usefulness. One need only look at Goomboo's backtesting of the 10/21 EMA rule in order to see that simple and well-known things can still work. |

Note that PSAR is nothing magical. Most of time, it flips AFTER the change in sell/buy mood happens. At that time, it is obvious that rally/sellof started. But it looks nice when layed on historical data, though. ;-)
Agreed, I always found PSAR to be good for confirming what had already happened too late to act on it  Technical analysis is the practice of following trends. If you want the PSAR or any other technical indicator to predict a reversal, good luck. Though there were already downtrends before the PSAR flipped, it evidently served as a confirmation. |

I think this would do more harm than good (not that mine is a great idea ^). People would lose confidence, and leave. Obviously, eventually you run out of USD and are all in BTC, and if you timed it right, that happens at the last possible moment where the market can still go up, assuming no manipulation. |

Indicators stop indicating once they become known.
Relationships between indicators break down once underlying market conditions which led to these relationships change. Conditions are constantly changing, particularly for something as inchoate as bitcoin. Since you have no idea why the indicators showed a relationship in the first place, you will have no idea when this relationship will break down, or what the new relationship will look like. Holy Grail is really an appropriate metaphor here as it draws the correct analogy between what you are doing here and a much more well-known example of a hopeless, futile pursuit. The purpose of this post was to point out an interesting correlation between an indicator and market activity over the last few months. "Holy Grail" was put there to draw people's attention, and nobody really believes that there is any "holy grail of indicators." |

I just want to ask you:
Note that if an unspent output is in an address in your wallet, you haven't spent it, period. The main wallet excuse doesn't work here. You did not use the coins in that output, which means you didn't need them. You can't have a positive balance in one address and spend it from somewhere else.
There are several possibilities.
1. You are lying.
2. The address is not in your wallet, it's a gox address or something.
3. You don't use all the coins at the same time.
Is (2) correct?

[joke] Here's a more modern, American way to deal with debt: Larry Livingston was a speculator. At one point, he ran into a serious problem with debt... how unfortunate! Of course as time went on and I could not pay I began to feel less philosophical about my debts. I'll explain: I owed over a million dollars—all of it stock-market losses, remember. Most of my creditors were very nice and didn't bother me; but there were two who did bedevil me. They used to follow me around. Every time I made a winning each of them was Johnny-on-the-spot, wanting to know all about it and insisting on getting theirs right off. One of them, to whom I owed eight hundred dollars, threatened to sue me, seize my furniture, and so forth. I can't conceive why he thought I was concealing assets, unless it was that I didn't quite look like a stage hobo about to die of destitution.
Mr. Livingston immediately took the wise and easy way out: I explained the situation quite frankly to them. I said: "I am not going to take this step because I don't wish to pay you but because, in justice to both myself and you, I must put myself in a position to make money. I have been thinking of this solution off and on for over two years, but I simply didn't have the nerve to come out and say so frankly to you. It would have been infinitely better for all of us if I had. It all simmers down to this: I positively cannot be my old self while I am harassed or upset by these debts. I have decided to do now what I should have done a year ago. I have no other reason than the one I have just given you."
What the first man said was to all intents and purposes what all of them said. He spoke for his firm.
"Livingston," he said, "we understand. We realise your position perfectly. I'll tell you what we'll do: we'll just give you a release. Have your lawyer prepare any kind of paper you wish, and we'll sign it."
That was in substance what all my big creditors said. That is one side of Wall Street for you. It wasn't merely careless good nature or sportsmanship. It was also a mighty intelligent decision, for it was clearly good business. I appreciated both the good will and the business gumption.
These creditors gave me a release on debts amounting to over a million dollars.
