Help,

I copied and pasted my coin address incorrectly.

The transaction is: http://blocks.nxtcrypto.org/nxt/nxt.cgi?action=3000&acc=413078656745476628

The correct address is: 4130786567454766284

Your Nxt is lost if you sent it to another address, what we call darknxt.  What is your actual Nxt address?

Edit; there is no account associated with your "correct address"

People want to hear confident leaders on a stage.
People want to hear confident leaders  on a stage.
People want to hear confident leaders  on a stage.

Well, rickyjames, I think you are a pretty confident guy, do you want to be also a leader on a stage?  Grin

You know, I tried repeatedly to get on a stage to pitch NXT.   It's pretty clear that Paul Snow, the organizer of the conference, politely kept that from happening, altho he put me on an altcurency panel that he headed and ran quite well.

The problem with putting a guy from NXT on a stage at this point is the current disconnect of the NXT group from the dev team master plan.   We need to get that straight before we go putting people on stage.  Are we a spendable coin?  Are we a Ripple?  Are we a science project?

The only way this issue will get resolved is if any of the big holders actually start hiring developers. WE NEED DEVELOPERS.
This community is SO centralized at the moment that we're 1 month from total collapse

Totally false.  We have 10M unclaimed Nxt to pay for developers.  Don't assume any stakeholder will donate 1 Nxt, that is a huge mistake and the wrong direction to take.  Failure of Nxt will have nothing to do with Stakeholders at this point.  We need to encourage Stakeholders to contribute any way they can, constantly berating them on this thread will only push them into hiding more.  Guys like Pouncer, Klee, etc.. have contributed great amounts to help us and BCNext has gifted us with 10M Nxt to use.  That is an incredible amount and we should all be thankful.

This testcase succeeded!
We should do some additional similar testcases

Great to see people creating test cases - but it would also help if people created "extreme test cases" that "purposely try to break AE".

Devs unfortunately have a habit of only testing the "expected use cases" themselves (so generally you'd expect that you won't find a bug that way). It is when you do something "only an idiot would do" that you are more likely to uncover any flaws.

Simple examples of such "idiotic" ideas might be things like "0 value" bids/asks or other "out of range values" as well as edge cases to do with zero or potentially negative balances.

Don't just "test that it works" try and "test that you can't screw it no matter how hard you try".

Some bounties for "breaking things" might be in order also (hint to technical funding committee).

Okay, so we need Emule to run a testcase.

Put DOGE on the decentralised exchange and everybody will here about NXT.

The more I think about it, the more I find this idea insanely ingenious!

This should be the very first asset on NXT AE. Cheesy

With James DAC, and AE, we can have Doge users trade directly with Nxt.

That's incredible, good to see you again Satoshi!

Is JL available for new dev core team consideration post CFB?

I was looking forward to Pooled Forging for one very simple reason: To forge on a VPS without exposing the private key to my primary NXT account...

am I the only one who thinks forging on a VPS is a bad idea?

I completely agree with you.  I don't currently forge on a VPS and will not unless I can do so safely.

Did you read my proposal?  In example case would only put 10 NXT at risk, but forging on behalf of 185,010.

And, the 10 NXT probably not even necessary...

Maybe this is the ONLY use case for pooled forging. It is for letting people split their NXT into a bunch of accts to minimize any damage losing a single account would cause. Then then can create a forging acct even on some public shared server, but only risking 10 NXT.

Basically pooled forging would just be for personal use and not intended for different people to pool. Now, if the API for this had a destination acct for any fees earned, then the security of the 10 NXT forging acct is not that important. It could even be done on a webwallet acct. The restriction is that all destination accts have to be the same.

This way, nobody exposes their password on a VPS, but everybody can forge with 100% of their NXT all the time as long as the webwallet site enables forging for all the accts.

James

Yes, I posted the exact same thing a few pages ago.  I think we should implement Pool forging, it's new and unique and would be useful when we have full TF capabilities, so why no implement now.

We also need to discuss how automatic we want to have CCT.

If we want everything (including creating BTC transactions), we somehow need to create them without the users direct intervention. Storing some private keys in the NXT blockchain is not an option.

Yes, agreed,  I would say make it fully automatic

That would be the most convenient option, I know. But how to create a blank transaction without the private key of the user AND without revealing the secret necessary to perform the corresponding transaction on the other blockchain.

We have time to discuss this until AT and AE are up and running.

Yeah, that's the 3Mil Nxt question right there.   Wink

How far do you intend go with the turing-complete vm? Do you have similar plans as the Ethereum guys who apparently want to run everything on top of their turing-complete contracts and include options like decentralized paid storage etc. Do you intend to include similar options as well, like paid storage and other more external oriented options, or do you have other goals in mind?

I think CIYAM will develop to the point where others can continue in any direction they want.  I'm not sure if there are any specific plans, but I would also like to know the answers to your questions.

Pinarello how are things standing in the eMunie area? Are you still following them?

No I dont support emunie, and dont follow them. honestly I am against emunie cos it just a ltd company
I also was concerned about this, considering you still have their logo as avatar.

BTT has removed the ability to add/change avatar, which is unfortunate because I was going to us the photo FURSELER posted a few pages ago.

For future Core Dev team;
I'd recommend; Chuckone, wesleyh, zahlen, ricot, gimre, ImmortAlex, CIYAM, BloodyRookie, Jaguar0625.  We'll need to offer a significant amount of NXT for 3 months of work.  I would suggest 250k Nxt for each member from unclaimed.
- this!

Those top founders have to pay for it though some of them have been doing a great job so far. But some haven't been actively involved yet. You don't see a company (even decentralized) can be successful without the involvement of all the top founders. It is simply their duty to do so.

You can't make a plan assuming that any stakeholder will give 1 Nxt of their own to the dev team.  In my opinion, having a strong core is critical, and we should allocate 2Mil Nxt from unclaimed to pay for the team.

Than say what you think and dont let us guesse.

We need more core devs.

Exactly this.
A big project like NXT should at least have 5 active core developers for the next months.
Hoarders should pay up if they want their NXT to become worth anything.

Don't we have unclaimed funds for this?  To say that Hoarders should pay up isn't productive.  We need a budget, list of developers, timeline, etc..  Perhaps you can organize this Uniqueron?

A few of these people (Jaguar0625, gimre, BloodyRookie, more?) are involved with NEM. They won't have time to work on two project, so they should be out of the list

Yeah, never hurts to ask

so mr. Msin, regarding of the "cryptographical PROOF", where are we?

a) msin: "I did my bests but I still cannot find the right guy. Please help me."

b) msin: "Yeah, I am in contact with a few right guys and soon we will have our candidate. Don't worry, now I go to bed."

Crypto Audit underway, will be completed in about a week, will give more details and release notes when finished.  Still working on an academic, but it's been more difficult since I still don't have specific guidelines.  I also wanted to wait for current Crypto analysis so that I could provide an academic with those notes and info so they have some direction.

Also, I don't remember saying "b)" but I think I will start using the line "now I go to bed" when my wife asks me to do the dishes.  Anon knows what I'm talking about  Smiley

Hello,

Have you found a auditer?
I put the word out to some of my sources and asked for tips for auditer, but if you've already located one then I don't have to focus any more time on this Smiley

Yes

More I think about Pooled Forging, more I don't like it. Does anyone have any ideas where this could lead to? Won't we face the same problem as Bitcoin (GHash)?

I put refactoring on hold until the community decides that it's safe for Nxt.

I think it's a great feature and should be implemented.  I like it for security purposes.  For example; If I have 100k Nxt. I can separate account to 10k each and pool forging and not worry about my one large account being hacked.
879  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Which alt coin you think should be added to markets most? on: March 05, 2014, 05:26:46 PM
