I guess if there was a foolproof way with 0% risk, everybody would be doing it Wink
1363  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Scrypt.CC | Scrypt Cloud Mining on: June 25, 2015, 09:42:31 AM

What's the problem with it? I gained (not much, 0.4 btc) from scrypt.cc, which means, luckly for me, I "stolen" some money to other members.
I'm happy, and I don't fucking care if someone who lost money can't pay the rent anymore, because it's their fault, and they deserved it. If I had lost my money I would be happy anyway.

I think Marcelo is coming back with a new scrypt.cc built from scratch, with zero balances (hacker stolen all money Wink). So it's time to restart the game and see who's going to gain more money.

Good luck

I can hardly imagine this...
1364  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How Bitplay Pay Out Gamers on: June 25, 2015, 08:34:48 AM
They have a pro version... In this version you can actually wager some BTC while competing. I guess they'll charge a fee?

I highly doubt they'll be able to cover their costs this way (especially since they don't push their pro version), but it's possible they're just building brand awareness?

I would personally spread the risk...

Use .33 to lend out to several people, always use collateral
Use .33 to invest in bit-x, buy low, sell high, preferably keep the GHS as long as possible to get some revenue
Use .15 to gamble on sport bets or something, at least bets with >50% chance of winning
Use .15 and invest it on an exchange with 0% trade fee. Invest in altcoins that have been around for a long time, but are cheap ATM
Use .04 to invest in a HYIP (if you find one that accepts so little input)

why i need to keep the screen on while mining? if i turn the screen off the app dont work well, so is just my problem or this is done willfully?

if this is done willfully, is this not a wasted of energy?

I've got the same issue with my wife's phone, whilst mine works fine.

The site looks extremely wonky right now though. Is this a bug?

I'm still experimenting with finding a good layout... ATM i'm at a stage where i'm filling the directory, so if there is a time for experimenting with the look-and-feel, it's now ;-)

Feedback is appreciated tough  Grin

Oh, alright. I'll try contributing some.
Good luck!

Thanks  Smiley

I've created a BTC business-directory, now i need to fill it up.

If you're selling something, and accept BTC or any ALT as valid payment, feel free to add your website to my directory, get some traffic and some PR for free...

http://www.buywithbtc.biz

There are 4 types of listing possible:
  • Completely free, without a recip
    • just put http://www.geen.com as recip url
    • i will use an url shortener on your link, so you will not receive any pagerank benefits
    • your link will be the first to dissapear when i have to prune the directory
  • Completely free, but with a recip link back to buywithbtc.biz
    • no url shortner = full google pagerank benefits
    • your link will stay online as long as your business ethics are OK (no scamming)
  • Completely free, but with an affiliate link to your store
    • Only if i'm an affiliate (so i make a percentage on each sale from every user i send)
    • Same benefits as recipped links

As soon as this directory is nicely filled, i plan on spending about $50 on some quality traffic (probably google adsense) + i plan to advertise it with all my "normal" websites + i plan on re-investing all income into traffic for a while (untill the site is actually booming)

Just pick your correct directory on http://www.buywithbtc.biz, sign up (necessary so you can manage your links) and add your link...

DO NOT SUBMIT AFFILIATE LINKS or LINKS TO SCAM/ILLEGAL WEBSITES!!!

ps: links are manually verified, this can take up to 1 business day

So what I can do now in my mined coins since I can't sent to outside world?

You can send them to the web wallet, or directly to an exchange and trade them for BTC

Web wallet  Huh There's no option for sending the coins in web wallet. Only send to email and donate.

I'm not affiliated with mangocoinz, but they have a web wallet over here: https://mangocoinz.com/webwallet/
or an exchange over here: https://usecryptos.com

Both can be used to generate a wallet (a web wallet, or a wallet on an exchange). Both can be used to fetch the wallet's address.

Once you have the address, push the 'send'-button (as said by b-trading), paste your address, chose how much coins to send (don't send all your coins, because a small fee will be added on top of the amount you chose here)

Now you have coins in your webwallet, or on an exchange...

1378  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: I have an extra pi sitting around, whats the best use to generate coins? on: June 24, 2015, 08:35:31 AM
Burst mining is not very CPU intensive, but you will have to plot the HDD:s using another device. Plotting can be done with either CPU or GPU depending on plotter.

The Raspberry pi 2 with the 800mhz arm processor can mine 1khash/s in the quark algorithm with the latest cpuminer.

you will need around 23000 pi's to beat one modern graphic card like the NVIDIA 980ti

You will use 92,000WATT compared to 250WATT with the graphic card.

True, but with burst, you're not mining with your GPU, the GPU is only used to generate the plots on the HD (actually, you can use a desktop PC, with a decent GPU to make the plots if you wish). The actual mining is actually using the HD plots.
1379  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it worth to mine with my old computer on: June 24, 2015, 06:28:57 AM
I have a computer which will not used, however, it is about 4-5 years old already,
is it worth to use it to mine BTC?

If yes, how much will I expect to get in 1 month Huh

What are the specs of your computer? I'm surpised no one has asked this. If you have a 24 core processor or something ridiculous then maybe it's worth it. Also depends on where you live because electricity bills vary by location.

Sure, but the OP mentioned it was 4-5 years old already... My Dual L5420 runs 8 threads on XEON cpu's, mining XMG whenever it has some spare cpu cycles (it's running a miner on very low priority). It makes only 5-8 cents a day... Even if it was a server with 24 XEON cores, 4 threads, but 4-5 years old, it would still only make $1/day if used for mining... Or maybe my configuration of my server is way of, and i could be making a lot more than i am ;-)
1380  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: BITBILL.eu -> Pay all your bills with Bitcoins! (Or one of the other crypto's) on: June 24, 2015, 06:00:29 AM
We are working on that, with BitIncome (that will be the name) the crypto circle will be round

Bitbill = crypto to fiat
BitIncome = fiat to crypto

With BitIncome you will have multiple options to receive btc when people pay you in USD/EUR

1) Put our bank account number with your unique reference code on your own invoices (bank transfer)
2) You can sent an invoice within the system to companies/email addresses where you want to receive money from (bank transfer)

The following option might come
3) If you are a verified user (confirmed phonenumber, email address, personal details and bank account) you can sent an invoice to a customer and he/she can pay with paypal, banktransfer, german payment method, dutch payment methods)

We have account numbers in europe and america and working on an account number in the uk aswell. This way we can receive USD, EUR and GBP without the high fees.

Put me up for bèta testing  Wink (such a service would greatly reduce my wire transfer fees and make my wife worry less about US money in our bank account)... I speak dutch and english, so i guess that would eliminate the (small) language barreer that can exist when asking technical questions  Grin

Also, i have no problem getting verified, as long as my info stays private and encrypted within your company
