I would say bit-x, but today they're acting up. Anybody know what's going on?

I'm an affiliate of many of those sites, but i find it strange that they do not pay their affiliates in BTC, only check, wire, paxum,...

is VirWoX good to trade around 270$? or 1 BTC?
I've used them, no problem whatsoever... They have a big fee (around 5-10% in my experience), and they can take up to 48 hours to process your withdrawal, but they are upfront about it, and i didn't read any negative feedback about them (other than the two forementioned points)

Virwox does (you buy some tokens with pp and exchange them for btc)... Although the total fee is 5%, at least for smaller deposits.
can I use unverified paypal account? also how long do I need to wait before they send the btc? I have no idea. My PayPal is verified, and I had no probs. Apperantly, first withdrawals are almost always processed manually, for me it took about 30 hours before it was processed. They promise to process the withdrawal within 48 hours...

I would be willing to sell $80 PP for BTC.
I know i'm new here, but i can prove a long paypal history (i've got a history since 2012) with very little chargebacks on my end (can provide screenshots from my paypal interface).
I would be willing to use escrow, but for paypal i think escrow is worthless, since, if i'm not mistaking, a paypal transaction can be charged back for 180 days (and i would not want an escrow service to hold my bitcoin for so long).

You could sell the PI and buy some coins Would generate the most coins I think Or you could host a simple peer to peer mining pool at a 1% rate or something I think you might be right about selling... Chances you'll make more money while mining (substracting energy costs) are indeed slim to none. About a p2p mining pool, make sure you have enough technical knowledge... It's not as simple as it looks.

you mean gift card to load to your google wallet?
If you do mean giftcard: i can pick you up one from the store when i'm going out for lunch... I ask 10% extra on top of the retail price (gasmoney) + you pay the escrow fee. PM if interested, preferrably within the next 30 minutes (i might be offline after that)

i had a quick look on the web today, apparently, there is a guy who compiled the necessary binaries for burst mining on raspberry pi. http://www.reddit.com/user/Kartojalmaybe you can contact him. There was a lot of discussion about burst hdd mining with raspberry pi, the concensus was that it's possible, but it might be a little slower...

I've only used a xeon server with Debian to try burst, but I think it should be possible... Maybe you'll need to plot the plots using a different machine, and then mine with your pi.
I'll have a look tomorrow morning.

Wow, reading these last posts, i think i got out just in time...
|
|
|
I would give it a try... IMO you've got nothing to lose. If, for some reason, BURST mining doesn't generate cash for you, you can just remove the plots for your HDD and it's like nothing happened.
BTW: read their tutorial very carefull, it's a completely different kind of setup, so it's not like mining with minerd, a wallet, cgminer,...

So I have an extra pi sitting, I know i could stake coins pos coins but I was looking for some input on which ones. I also have a powered Hard drive to usb adapter for two hard drives and I am able to hook them up to the pi and burst mine or whatever with them if it is possible. Please let me know what the best use would be for this little pc !
I think you're correct, if you have a big usb disk, you could use them for BURST HDD mining. It's not so easy to setup, but if you have a couple TB diskspace, you can still make some cash with this (i tried this about a month ago, with a 250 Gig Hd, but this wasn't enough to generate some real bucks)

The offer is still open,I got two fair offers from two US members, but the shipping costs + possible taxes were to high to make a deal. So i'm searching for an EU vendor, or an non-EU vendor that has access to cheap and reliable shipping methods. I've decided to only mine at home, and maybe leave my server running for a while, so (almost) all old ASIC's that are currently included in my scope. As long as: - they are safe to run - in complete working order (PSU, controller boards,... must be included if necessary for the rig to run) - the price must be lower than 0.18 BTC, shipping and escrow fees included (it's just to eductate myself, and i think about $50 is the maximum i'm willing to spend on that) I can pay with BTC (escrow), wire transfer (you send first, i pay when receiving the HW) or paypal (i pay first). I'm pretty sure most people will use BTC since i'm a new member without any trust

Like satoshi said, it's good to use bitcoin for porn, if you do not want your wife , to discover it
Obviously, he never met my wife. She can't browse facebook without asking me for support, but when she's searching for something i did wrong, she's suddenly a forensic computer expert with 16 years experience in hunting down the smallest trace...

Just two quick questions:
1) is this offer still valid? 2) what's the catch? If something seems to good to be true, it usually is. For example: you're selling this licence for 10% of the retail price, but still it's an official licence. What's wrong with it? Is it an "oem" version that needs a lot of extras to function, will i be charged extra for certain things that a normal licence wouldn't be charged for? How did you come by these licences?

Thanks for the fair warning... My employer is rather permissive about these things, altough i might have to read up on our company's policys about this.

The way i understood, mining is completely different from getting coins from faucets... Mining coins = generating new coins, faucets = watching annoying ads for very small parts of a bitcoin
the only way to mine with faucets would be if they would give free hash power or something like that with which you could mine coins i'm sure if they did that, the amount of hashing power would be so miniscule so as to be insulting. i think there was a browser-based cpu-mining website but it was either a scam or paid out so little that it appeared to be one. Minergate is also a browser-based cpu mining website. I tried it, but couldn't reach my initial payout...
