1401  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it worth to mine with my old computer on: June 22, 2015, 11:39:05 AM
Cloudming is not safe is 1 of my concerns too.
Although I won't invest much there.

Btw...I found most ppl saying abt the electric rate, what if free?
coz I just planned to mine in my office...lol

I once tought about mining @ the office to, untill somebody pointed out that you can actually get fired if your employer finds out. Now, i make a lot more in my daytime job than i can ever make while mining, so i decided i wouldn't do it...

In case you do decide to mine in the office: it's possible to make some cash, but don't expect much (with a decent office PC, you can earn a couple dollars per week, if you mine the correct ALTcoin)
1402  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it worth to mine with my old computer on: June 22, 2015, 11:28:02 AM
O...sad to hear that
I think it is too late to start my BTC career...lol

I also find there is some site offering mine BTC service,
but the break even time is ard 9 months,
is it really hard to take part into the mining BTC nowaday?

I'm pretty new myself, but i can tell you that it's incredibly hard to take part in the mining, at least, if you're in it to make a profit.
If you're in it to learn a thing or two, it's pretty easy. Otherwise you'll need a really good electricity price (<$0.10/kwh) and a big startup capital to even consider it, or you'll lose money every minute your miners are running...

Cloudmining is an option (IMO), to bad there are almost no honest cloudmining companies out there. I heared great things about bit-x, that's why i use them to cloudmine myself... But remember: all the BTC invest in a thirth party CAN get lost!
1403  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it worth to mine with my old computer on: June 22, 2015, 11:06:13 AM
I have a computer which will not used, however, it is about 4-5 years old already,
is it worth to use it to mine BTC?

If yes, how much will I expect to get in 1 month Huh

Short answer: No
Long answer: Yes, but not much. CPU mining bitcoin is a waste of time and money. As being said before: you'll lose money on the electricity bill.

There are a couple of altcoins, like monero, magi coin (and a couple others), that are CPU-minable, and can give you some return. Chances are slim you'll make more than the energy price, even with those CPU minable coins.

An other option is buying some old USB miners or graphic cards, and hook them up to your PC. But: same old thing, you'll probably pay more for electricity.

Bottom line i've learned: if you cannot invest a couple thousand, and have a good electricity rate, you'll never make money... I do mine myself, but it's only to educate myself, i know i'll never make ROI (return on investment ~ braking even)...
1404  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: need someone trustworthy to create altcoin for me on: June 22, 2015, 09:49:56 AM
I want to have a coin made, but need someone to create the coin for me.

http://coincreator.net/ does it for free... They host a node for a couple of weeks to, afterwards it's up to you....

You can always create one yourself, the linux part is not that hard (daemon and linux QT wallet), but compiling a windows QT wallet is really difficult (at least, for me)
1405  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Play Flappy Bird on your Android Phone and win FREE BTC! Faucet on: June 22, 2015, 09:47:32 AM

Does it have a affiliate program? I explore the app but sees nothing. I like to show this game to all my friends Cheesy But even no affiliate program , it's ok. Smiley

I don't even know how the admin is breaking even on the app (i don't see any ads + no pressure to download the pro version), let alone, start an affiliate program.
1406  Economy / Services / Re: I will take down your website on: June 22, 2015, 09:34:59 AM
Why not take down cloudflare? You said Cloudflare doesn't work

I am not going to attack cloudflare.

And CloudFlare works only if you pay $200+/Month

The free plans don't have ddos protection.

Even some business CF users have problems because I can point a cname to your domain and it will bypass CF WAF

I can vouch for this... If you're on a free cloudflare plan, and you get DDOS'd, they'll just reroute the traffic directly to your ip, and bypass their network.

Even the free version of cloudflare is a REALLY good service, they don't offer DDOS protection for free tough  Cheesy
1407  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [BUILD] Build Windows Qt Wallet [BUILD] on: June 22, 2015, 09:27:26 AM
I'm going to try this one out this evening when i get home... I'll report back if i succeed.

I created an altcoin for home use (getting my kid interested in crypto coins, and having an alternative "payment" method when she helps us out around the house).

Creating a coin, building the linux deamon and the linux QT wallet just took me a couple of hours. I gave up compiling the windows QT wallet after a couple days trying. Maybe this tutorial will work  Huh
1408  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: newbie stake mining on: June 22, 2015, 08:57:30 AM
most POS coins aren't trustworthy but run by scammer and p&d group (or at least many were like that)

Thanks for the reply, do you know of any that aren't run by a scammer or pump and dump, and still give reasonable revenue with a small investment?

1410  Other / Off-topic / Re: Father's Day! on: June 22, 2015, 07:47:26 AM
Here in England and probably Ireland we are celebrating Father's Day. A day to show your Father the appreciation they deserve for bringng you into this world. Well that's assuming they deserve it, I apologize to those who may find this offensive. If you don't like this topic go read another one.

So all you over-seas peoples, I was just wondering, do you celebrate Father's day or Mother's day at all? If so what kind of customs do you have? Any family or cultural traditions.

I will be phoning my Dad in a while  to see how he's doing, I need to be in contact with him more really.

I know not every one has a relationship with their Dad and I really don't wanna upset anyone.Sso I'm a bit dubious about making this thread.  Undecided

Here, father's day is one week earlyer... Got a nice framed picture from my kid, and had a BBQ with my dad  Smiley
1411  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / newbie stake mining on: June 22, 2015, 07:42:31 AM
Hi Guys,

I'm a newbie in both bitcoin and altcoin. I've invested most of my coins in bit-x, giving me some "interest" om my money... I've read up on stake mining, and tought this would be a nice alternative to get some "divident" for my coins.

I know it's always a gamble to use altcoins, since the altcoin price might fluctuate heavily, but can you guys give me your opinions which coins would be best to stakemine? I've been trying to stakemine XMG, but so far, i've got nothing...

I guess the coin has to be trustworthy, around for a while, and give some return on investment after a couple of days... My initial investment in this would only be around $25-$50 (first try out if this is worth my effort)
1412  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is "Circle" a good place to buy Bitcoin? on: June 22, 2015, 06:20:54 AM
I use circle as a wallet to keep a small amount of coins, tried to add my bank account once, but got a lot of warnings they "might" not support non-US banks. So i stopped at that step.

Anybody from outside the US has added their bank account to circle?
1413  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Any one know any good cloud mining? on: June 22, 2015, 06:14:18 AM
BTW, how many bitcoin per GHS obtained if investing in bit-x? if good maybe I'll try it

Today, i had about 0.000313 per 100 GHS (1 day, profit... You get a lot more, but have to pay maintenance costs... The net result is 0.000313 per 100 GHS per day, fluctuating a little each day).

It's not that much, but it's better than nothing  Grin
1414  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Any one know any good cloud mining? on: June 22, 2015, 05:51:47 AM
There's none I can recommend at this time as most of them are ponzi scams. It's always best to proceed with caution.
I intend to try out Bit-X in a few weeks.

Bit-x is nice, AFAIK they're pretty reliable. Their ROI is not as high as other sites, but i truely believe they are not a ponzi. I've got most of my BTC invested with them ATM
1415  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: I have an extra pi sitting around, whats the best use to generate coins? on: June 22, 2015, 05:45:47 AM
I also have one of these and an rpi2. I'll be watching this thread to see if it gets anywhere. Hosting my own p2p pool would be awesome but theres no "easyway/tutorial that I've found.
Running a pool is actually pretty diffucult to do if you haven't got the right technical experience + knowledge on how bitcoin/altcoin actually works... I've tried to setup one a couple weeks ago, but couldn't get it to work properly... Compiling a deamon, a LAMP server,.... is actually pretty straightforeward, but NOMP and a stratum server config were pretty hard...
1416  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Scrypt.CC | Scrypt Cloud Mining on: June 22, 2015, 05:39:55 AM
Any updates on scrypt? I took all my BTC away about a week ago because i tought they were becoming unstable, and by the looks of it, i was just on time...
1417  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin and Porn on: June 20, 2015, 09:32:36 AM
BTC is amazing for the adult industry.  It's almost anonymous, low transaction fees, fast and easy.  it's probably the best form of payment that has come out ever for porn industry.

yes, but sadly, "nobody" is paying for porn in 2015. well, maybe somebody yes, but I really can't imagine guy under 30 paying for porn..

ATM, you might be right... but everything is an equilibrium.

At the moment, less and less people are paying for porn, so it gets harder for producers AND the people giving everything away for free to make a living (the people running tubes need to get payed to, they're payed a percentage of every paysite subscription they sell, or they get payed for adviews/adclicks).

If 100% of the population stopped paying for porn, no new porn would be generated, and nobody would give it away for free anymore (except on torrents and newsgroups). In this scenario, it would start to get profitable again to make a paysite, since people would be able to pay for porn that wasn't shot 10 years ago for the price of 5 beers a month....

Ofcourse, this scenario wouldn't happen, since there'll always be people that are paying for porn, because it's the right thing to do, because they're afraid to get caught with pirated movies, because they want to see something unique, out of naivity,... So there will always be a market to make new porn, and there will always be people making a profit giving it away for free to...
1418  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [WTB] BTC with PayPal. on: June 19, 2015, 01:49:33 PM
Completely understandable, but I hope someone can give me the benefit of the doubt.

I'm sorry to say it, but i don't think anybody will... When i wanted to buy a $5 usbstick on this forum with paypal, nobody was interested either... When i exchanged my paypal to BTC, i got 3 offers in the next 2 days. I know it's frustrating when you have good intentions, but in our current rank, i guess virwox is the only viable alternative  Sad
1419  Economy / Marketplace / Re: How much traffic needed to start making money ? on: June 19, 2015, 01:16:14 PM
I am not sure with your question, first traffic is not very important but unique IP is the most important, that's depend on contract of placing ads...,

I know I know , I mean how much basically unique visitors should I get to start making some decent profit ?? monthly or daily also how much visitors (same) per day somone should have so his website worth something (when he sell it and not when placing Advertising)
a friend of mine who has a website in wordpress, once said that revenue from advertising will begin to stabilize if the traffic of visitors reached 10k more, but it is a news website, I do not know if a website such as flippa or sedo, require how much traffic

Thank you so much , that's what I needed to know . So 10k it is , I'am going to open a news website too & it will Wordpress too so I guess it's pretty helpful . and what are you talking about in the second part ? Shocked Flippa & Sedo are website that allow you to sell your blog/domain/application (mostly for blogs) etc ...
any more info are welcomed so please share with me what you know or experience on selling your websites or whatever .

I know about adult traffic: As a very raw estimate, going with my experience, i guess you'll need:

- about 20k unique visitors/day
- mostly from the richer part of the world
- coming from search engines, high quality link trades with reputable partners and bookmarks
- on a quality page (for example, a wellmade blog with well tought of articles) that is regularly updated, and has a good layout
- in a niche that is not over-represented

to make about $100/day (before taxes).

Now, this is about adult traffic. Chances are that non-adult traffic gives you a completely different picture afterall

1420  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [WTB] BTC with PayPal. on: June 19, 2015, 01:07:42 PM
virwox does paypal to BTC, their fees are outrageous tough, and chances are you'll have to wait a couple of days before they clear your first withdrawal
