I just chickened out and withdrew the last little money i still had with them... No problem whatsoever. I did had to sell at a lower price than what i bought the KHS for, but everything went smooth (including the withdrawal of my last money).

update: i've tranferred some of my cash from paypal to my bitcoin wallet trough virwox ($40 is transferred to $34 in BTC, and they take about 30 hours to clear your deposit).

I'm now able to offer some BTC for old material, in case somebody is willing to sell...
1484  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: For those who wants to mine bitсoins! on: June 14, 2015, 07:46:11 PM
The way i understood, mining is completely different from getting coins from faucets... Mining coins = generating new coins, faucets = watching annoying ads for very small parts of a bitcoin

I heard this word too much here "The signature campaign" but I still don`t understand it
is there any reference/help guide about this method ?

It's basically a "shop" (casino, vendor, cloudmining company, ponzi,..) that pays you for every post you make* as long as they can advertise their product in your forum signature and/or personal text.

There is a thread somewhere that compares them. The big downside is that a new member isn't allowed to join their campaigs most of the time. And the few campaigns that allow new members to participate don't pay that much...

* Depending on their rules... Sometimes they only pay when you make x-amount of posts per week, sometimes there is a maximum, sometimes your texts have to be longer than x characters, sometimes they don't pay posts in certain subforums,...

With all the free porn available, I'm curious as to why you would pay for it unless it's for a live interaction.  Anyway, porn seems like a great industry to adopt bitcoin just for anonymity.

It might sound strange, but there are people that actually pay for porn because it's the right thing to do. This is especially true for smaller sites where the performer forms some sort of "bond" with the subscriber. In this case, the subscriber knows the performer makes a living selling her(his) movies online, and buys a subscription to support them.

A second porn payer, is the one who does not know how to find free porn (these people still exist, altough they are becoming less and less frequent)

A thirth kind of porn payer is the one who buys something that is hard to find for free (live porn, 3d, interactive, specific niche,...)

Finally after 9 days my deposit got credited to my account. Just at the right time. Bought at 997. I'm happy now. Let's get mining Smiley

Hi does anybody else have trouble depositing BTC. I deposited yesterday and still nothing have arrived.
Support tickets I made were deleted by today!?!?!

I am getting kinda worried or is this common there or can anybody explain what is going on there?

Thanks

I deposited about 2 hours ago, my satoshis were credited in about 30 minutes... A couple of days ago, my deposit hung for about 2 days tough, but that was due to problems with blockchain.info (if i understood the discussion correctly)
1489  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] old usb or network miner for educating myself Europe on: June 12, 2015, 05:28:47 AM
Thanks for the tips, to bad you don't live in the EU so i could buy some Hardware from you  Grin

My offer still stands: anybody wants to sell any unused asic miners that : either look like a regular usbstick, or have an ethernet interface so they don't need a PC running 24/7 to operate?

I'll look into transferring my paypal fund to BTC (does anybody know if the trick posted everywhere: using virwox to change PP to BTC still works?), and like ncsupanda suggested, i'll defenately use escrow!
1490  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTB] old usb or network miner for educating myself Europe on: June 11, 2015, 07:25:36 PM
Since i'm new to the scene, i would like to buy some very cheap, second hand, mining equipment to play with... I don't really NEED any equipment (i'm not desperate), so i'm not willing to pay more than what the equipment is actually worth (i would prefer to do a good deal, even if i have to wait a little longer).

I'm well aware that the chances of getting ROI are very slim, but i don't really care. I just want to try out ASIC mining if i find good equipment for a good price. This is also the reason why i'm not looking for expensive equipment (i'm not looking to setup a big miningfarm)

I found a new antminer U3 on ebay for 70 euro's, but the downside is that it's a big USB miner. I need a PC running at all times to continue mining, but i can't mine at work (because it looks like an asic miner, and since i'm working as a sysadmin, i guess my collegues would know i'm doing something that's not work related).

I'm actually looking for:
- a (very cheap) usb miner that looks like a USBstick (so i can plug it into my workPC, which is running 24/7, and benefit from the free electricity to)
Edited: I won't mine at work, since i don't want to use my job, so all kinds of USB or ethernet miners that costs less than $50 (shipping and escrow included) are acceptable... USB miners, antminer U3's, butterly labs 10GS/s,...
or
- a (very cheap) miner with ethernet connection, so i can set it up at home, but i do not need to run a PC 24/7. The miner should be all-in (include PSU) and in full working condition

Does anybody have some old equipment laying around that is not being used anymore and he/she's willing to sell for cheap?

I would prefer to pay with paypal, since i'm new i don't really have a lot of BTC. If this is really an issue, i guess i can try to find a way to exchange my paypal fund to BTC.
I would also like to mention i don't need an escrow when i can pay with paypal, but i have no problems using one if the seller is requesting this. If i have to pay with BTC, we'll use an escrow without any discussion.

Last point: i'm living in western europe (think the netherlands), so i guess only people from europe will be interested, since shipping fees for non-EU countries would be to high to even make me an offer to sell old, cheap equipment...

Definitely dont listen to this guy, he has no idea. You asked for bitcoins without investing or trading or mining, the best way is indeed signature campaigns and you can actually win a good amount of bitcoins with it, as a newbie not that much but when you get to higher ranks you could be getting from 0.04 - 0.10 per week easily even with full member only.

Definitely not gambling, thats the stupidest idea.

I did mention i'm new in my OP, that should be sufficient for anybody to know he has to use my advice at his own risk, and i did suggest signature campains in my next post...

I also do know it's a bad idear to gamble, but i think that's something everybody has to decide for him/herself...
1492  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Scrypt.CC | Scrypt Cloud Mining on: June 11, 2015, 08:26:36 AM
That's why it was posted, to reassure the kind of people who will send them money and take their pinky-promise that what they are saying is true.

The kind of people who ignore the math that proves scrypt.cc doesn't have 850GH/s of Scrypt mining power.

I certainly hope you are wrong... I do know chances are very large that you're right tough... That's why i see it as a high risk investment, and don't buy more than i'm willing to lose
1493  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: earning bitcoin without trading or mining on: June 11, 2015, 08:24:24 AM
One last method i forgot: Signature campaigns...

They don't pay a lot, but they do pay better than faucets...
1494  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin With Smartphone Mining on: June 11, 2015, 08:22:14 AM
There is an android app for mining BTC and many alt's : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.miner

Tried it, hashrates were SOOOOOOOO low, it would take months of poolmining to reach the payout treshhold for any of the algorithms i tried...
1495  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: earning bitcoin without trading or mining on: June 11, 2015, 07:59:37 AM
i'm pretty new myself, but as far as i know, the options for getting BTC are:

  • buying
  • trading
  • mining
  • selling goods
  • selling services
  • gambling
  • faucets

Each one of these either requires and investment, time or risk... I'm afraid nothing is for free in this world  Cool

I believe the same post came to bitcointalk around the same time....

Thanks, it's actually rather nice to read something reassuring when you have a couple KHS with them :-)
1497  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Robbed of BTC at gunpoint -- a real concern? on: June 11, 2015, 06:30:20 AM
In our newspaper are articles of people being robbed of cash, jewlery, cellphones,... every day.
I guess there isn't much of a difference between getting robbed of your BTC or being robbed of your cellphone. It's just a matter of taking the right precautions when you're moving a lot of BTC IRL, but i guess you should take the same precautions when you're selling 100k of diamonds IRL or when you're selling 100k of BTC IRL.

I don't have any problems with scrypt.cc and I have been around since feb 2014, but I am curious regarding the authentity. I've read that some actually did visit with the "admin" and saw these miners, but do we know who these people are, and are they creditable?

I would be interested in that post, do you still have the link in your browser history perhaps?

I'll do one better, I'll make it free. I can use the traffic until I figure out a way to monetize it.

PM your stats (uniques/hits/refferers), and i'll give you a few tips on how to make a couple of bucks...
