1541  Economy / Services / Re: Ever wanted your own game? Check here. on: June 02, 2015, 09:55:45 AM
If you create those games from scratch, it's a really good price. Actually, even if it's a template with custom graphs/text it's not to expensive...

Must remember this thread for when it's my kid's birthday, i guess it's a funny present...
1542  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Legit Cloud Mining [Altcoins] on: June 02, 2015, 06:13:26 AM
I hope you did not invest much there.  Everyone needs to do their own research and decide.

But I can tell you I will never trust that site with my BTC.  It's had way to many scam accusations.

Luckily, no, i tested it out with $20 to see if i could make ROI. If i lose my cash, it'll be a lesson learnt about cloudmining...
1543  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: What do you think about this company name: on: June 02, 2015, 05:58:15 AM
with some bounty of course Grin

Indeed, i have a rather large TLD portfolio, but i would never give away a good TLD idear for free...  Wink
That being said, there are numerous tools online that help you pick a good TLD that is easy to remember, contains keywords,... I don't know them by heart, but if you can't find them, i'll look into my favorites at home this evening.
1544  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Legit Cloud Mining [Altcoins] on: June 02, 2015, 05:55:13 AM
I started using scrypt.cc recently... Havent gotten my ROI yet, but it seems they are still running for now...

The thing is: they mine altcoin, but pay in BTC, so for the enduser there is little difference between them, and cloudmining companies that mine BTC directly...
1545  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Where would i find signature campaigns ? on: June 01, 2015, 06:27:29 AM
you can find all the list of sig campaign here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=615953.0.

1547  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Anyone want to work on some Bitcoin Projects ? on: June 01, 2015, 05:47:21 AM
I'm a pretty good database designer/administrator, can code in php/perl and can setup a properly configured LAMP stack in a matter of hours...

I do not have a lot of free time tough, so i'm kind of picky about the projects i take on, but if your project is really interesting, i would be happy to help you out.
1548  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: ❎Need web/Php and penetration testers❎ on: May 31, 2015, 10:28:27 AM
My servers have been compromised numerous times in the last 16 years... What i've learnt (the hard way)

95% of my security breaches happened because of unpatched scripts (commercial, open source or homebrewn).
To have some basic security you need to:

- chose a secure OS, i would personally recommand suse or RHEL if you're actually working with money. I would personally stay away from windows server (altough they've become pretty secure over the last couple of years)
- harden your OS... an example for RHEL5: https://www.nsa.gov/ia/_files/os/redhat/NSA_RHEL_5_GUIDE_v4.2.pdf
- make sure you don't install any software that isn't strictly necessary, always chose for the most secure option (for example, i like to use postgresql instead of mysql if my script is properly written and allows me to chose)
- make sure your OS, installed binarys and installed scripts are always up-to-date
- if you do your own scripting, make sure what you're doing. One of the most used techniques (SQL injection) was already mentioned, but there are numerous other errors a scripter can make
- if possible, find somebody to do a decent penetration test (i guess that's what you're trying to do here)...
- spend some time thinking about rules and procedures for your staff, it wouldn't be the first time a business is compromised by social engineering instead of "real" hacking

I probably forgot some extra points of attention. And don't forget: the only service that can't be compromised is the service you never put online. Everything can be compromised, even the most secure and well-written systems.

My main point is: don't put all your eggs into one basket, make sure your whole concept is as secure as possible instead of just checking if all your scripts follow security standards...

1549  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Hola VPN, free browser extension is a voluntary botnet on: May 31, 2015, 09:53:41 AM
It always sounds strange to me when people are serious about becoming anonymous, but still use a free service to become "anonymous".
This while a service like earthvpn costs $40/year...
1550  Other / Off-topic / Re: Offline navigation , Is it possible ? on: May 29, 2015, 01:21:33 PM
i use mapfactor navigator... Lets you download openstreetmaps maps for free, so you can use them offline.
1551  Economy / Services / Re: Advertise on Whatsapp - 50% Discount for First 2 Buyers on: May 29, 2015, 12:02:15 PM
Okay,i stand corrected, the country has a big GDP (wasn't even aware of that).

But, technically, if your country is overpopulated, you could still have a big GDP whilst your average inhabitant is poor, right? I was always really bad at economics, so i could be wrong...

I just found this online: http://data.worldbank.org/indicator/NY.GNP.PCAP.CD/countries?order=wbapi_data_value_2013%20wbapi_data_value%20wbapi_data_value-last&sort=asc&display=default . India has a per capita income  of $5350/year, placing it between uzbekistan and nigeria..

Now, the only point i actually wanted to convey was that in my opinion, 2000 US/EU Whatsapp adresses would be worth a lot more than 2000 india whatsapp adresses... And even then, i'm not completely convinced i would pay $15 to send a message to 2000 US whatsapp accounts...
1552  Economy / Services / Re: [ WTS ] VPS on: May 29, 2015, 11:00:25 AM
As for the virtualisation... I take it you use KVM (since on openVZ you would not be able to offer a windows OS or freeBSD, and other virtualisations would cost to much to sell your packages at $7).
Since i assume you're using KVM, i also assume that the amount of SWAP can be chosen by your customers?

Are you using SSD's, SSD-cached,...?

1553  Other / Off-topic / Re: any free php hosting provider on: May 29, 2015, 10:49:57 AM
I couldn't find an explanation, this free hosting allow adult content ?

There are several adult freehosts available... But as a guy who has been making adult sites for over 16 years, i must say that it's a waste of time...
I started out with using freehosts, but nobody wants to do business with somebody using freehosts... It took me two years before i bought my first domain and shared hosting account, made more money in the next month than i did in the previous two years.
When using a freehost it's really hard to get listed on about anything: directory's, tgp's, mgp's, tubes, linklists,... They all want to do business with a guy using his own domain and a reliable host...

That being said, PM me if you need some help with your plan, i'm pretty sure i can point you in the right direction.
1554  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Circle is giving away $5/~0.021 BTC for new users on: May 29, 2015, 08:49:47 AM
In my country, we can buy real phone number (with SIM card) for about $0.5
So, we just have to make few fake gmail account & we got a lot of bitcoin

Sounds like a solid investment  Wink

It's a lot of work tough... you need to wipe your phone, insert a new sim, register everything (make a new gmail account, probably use a proxy or a VPN so they don't detect the fact that you're alway using the same ISP/IP), install the app, confirm your email and phone number, scan the QR code, send the money to your "main" BTC address => cash out $4.5  Cool

If you have access to cheap labor, it should be an "easy" way to make a couple bucks...
1555  Economy / Services / Re: Advertise on Whatsapp - 50% Discount for First 2 Buyers on: May 29, 2015, 08:43:39 AM
I just wonder how you could make some profit from this deal...

Since you ask $15 for 1500 indian receivers (and 500 receivers from elsewhere....), you would have to make more than $0.01 per indian receiver to make a profit from this message...

I've never used whatsapp as a promotional medium, i just wonder if this return would be realistic, given the fact that you send the message to a rather poor part of the world...

1556  Economy / Services / Re: Need Wordpress Developer / Editor / Designer PLEASE BID on: May 29, 2015, 08:13:00 AM
If you haven't found anybody yet: i can do wordpress hosting/basic installation/small customizations/scripting/...

My fees (negotiable):
basic installation of a hosting account on my servers, DNS records, installation of wordpress + theme => 1 hour => $25
A domainname (with WHOIS protection) => $12/year (if i reg a domainname for you, i will need proof of your identitiy...)

1557  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Circle is giving away $5/~0.021 BTC for new users on: May 29, 2015, 07:42:50 AM
can you enter fake info? because many will do that using wifi/proxy and other stuff, how they can know who is legit and who not?

It's 2FA phone verification... I guess fast users will be able to use an online free SMS service, coupled with a fake gmail account to create one or two fake accounts, but as soon as all those free numbers were used once, you'll have to use your real phone number to verify
1558  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Circle is giving away $5/~0.021 BTC for new users on: May 29, 2015, 07:36:13 AM
Thanks OP. Altough i'm a newbie, i can verify that this worked perfectly for me!
1559  Other / Off-topic / Re: making a PDF on: May 29, 2015, 06:32:03 AM
Most recent versions of office already allow you to convert your document into pdf.

If you don't have a recent office version, you can always download a pdf printer (cutepdf for example). Just use any program with a print functionality to print your document as a pdf...
1560  Economy / Services / Re: YoBit.Net - Signature Campaign - Realtime Payouts (daily) on: May 28, 2015, 12:07:53 PM
Except you can't. Newbies aren't allowed on this campaign any more. See the posts above. I think it's a wise decision personally.

I just noticed it myself... Maybe it's a good idear to edit the initial post, it still says newbies are welcome, not everybody reads the full thread.

I do understand the risk of allowing new forum members, but it's a bit annoying for a newbie with good intentions that just wants to make a bit of BTC to get him started.
