1601  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: EWBF's CUDA Zcash miner on: June 26, 2017, 03:33:25 PM
can anyone share your 1070 settings and hashrate?

I have a large number of GTX1070s running on EWBF and they average 415-430 sols bone stock.
1602  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Antminer S7 Fan Question on: June 26, 2017, 03:26:59 PM
If it is a 45 chip 700 mhz S7 you can flash it with the S7-F1 firmware and run it with a single fan but there is no way to make it hash without at least one fan plugged in and readable by the OS.
1603  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - Easy to use GPU MINING Operating System on: June 24, 2017, 03:37:36 AM
hi

someone mining with motherboard msi b250 krait gaming?
I could not put it to work with 6 gpu

I've tried changing enable 4g enconding - disable audio - disable win 7 install - legacy 64mb
someone solution?

I tried out an MSI B250 Gaming M3 and could not get it stable with more than 3 cards. I could get it going with issues with 4 cards and never got it working with 6. I dunno if it is something with the MSI boards but I wont use them for mining, they just have too many issues in my experience.
1604  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Antminer S7 temp reached 95 1 min after power on on: June 23, 2017, 10:38:01 PM
unplug the hash boards and just power up the controller by itself to verify fan functionality. The only other thing that would cause it is a loose heatsink on the chip the software pulls its temperature readings from. Either that or it is close to shorting out.
1605  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [HARDWARE][NVIDIA] Pascal GP106-100 - True Mining GPU on: June 23, 2017, 09:15:49 PM
I can confirm they only have a 90 day warranty.

Also, they arent made for retail sale so you wont just find them in shops and such.
1606  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Actual Hashrates from NVIDIA 1060/1070/1080 on: June 21, 2017, 08:14:57 PM
EVGA Hybrid 1080
Windows 10
2075/5514 after tuning

25.8mh on Ethereum (didnt bother tuning as 1080s are shit on ETH)
stock 495-510 sols - tuned 610 sols on Zcash
1607  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: EWBF's CUDA Zcash miner on: June 21, 2017, 06:49:20 PM
so basically Zcash's days are numbered...in probably a month from now, it would be next to impossible to mine Zcash right?

Jumping to ridiculous conclusions that have no bearing in reality is not helpful. Even less helpful when you vent them publicly where the wrong person might read it and think it is true. This is how FUD spreads.
ZEC difficulty is always going to get smashed when ethereum is hurting, eventually enough people will switch algos and things will settle down again. The fact of the matter is mining either coin is still crazy profitable right now. Even after this diff adjustments my rigs are still making $200 a week.

1608  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is there a way to set a custom temperature limit on GPU Boost 3.0 cards? on: June 21, 2017, 06:42:23 PM
The max temp on that GPU is 94c, you are not even close to overheating it.
1609  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ETH Difficulty +11% in less than 24 hours. on: June 20, 2017, 07:52:07 PM
After reading through this thread it seems that none of you really have a clue what is going on. Wild accusations of ASIC miners are just silly. The price tripled, investors got excited and bought hardware, and now it is coming online. Its not all that complicated.

P.S. There is a moratorium on selling graphics cards in bulk right now as so many have been purchased the graphics card companies are unable to meet their retail demands to customers/partners. So in turn they have allocated all remaining stock to those partners and large mining firms are kind of SOL right now.

Finally got my desktop set back up and played with it a bit. Pretty much just turned everything up to 11 and its been running stable.

GPU:

GPU's MODEL NAME: EVGA 1080 Hybrid
VRAM: 8gb
CORE/MEMORY CLOCK: 2075/5514
HASHRATE: 610 sols
MINER SOFTWARE: EWBF 0.3.4b
OS: Windows 10

Havent been able to push the card past 60c with the stock water cooler.
1611  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Drop of hashrate for Polaris cards incoming on: June 19, 2017, 07:48:44 PM
DOOM DOOOOOOOM DOOOOOOOOOOOOM

Thats all anyone wants to talk about. ONE COIN might not be profitable anymore and all of a sudden the entire ecosystem is dead? Give me a break.

Go with the 1070s for more flexibility. The memory config on the 1080s is actually worse for some algos than the 1070s
1613  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Moving to China for the gir... I mean mining on: June 13, 2017, 10:06:12 PM
Electricity in China is similar to other developed countries. The price varies based on location and how the power was generated. It is not 3-4 cents all in across the whole country, if you live in an area with coal (which is still Chinas primary energy source) you wont pay less than 6-7 cents. Do your research if you are serious about moving there.
1614  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Recommended motherboard on: June 13, 2017, 06:51:15 PM
I have built successful 6 card rigs using both RX580 and GTX 1070s with the following motherboards in the past two weeks:

Asrock Fatal1ty B250 Gaming K4

Asus Prime Z270-P

Asus Prime Z270-A

P.S. Stay away from the MSI B250 Gaming M3 - I could not get it to work with more than 3 cards without serious issues.

Will be in few weeks.

1616  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: asrock fm2 a88x pro+ mining 5 gpu problems on: June 13, 2017, 06:25:49 PM
You might try the altcoin forum down below. You will get no help for a GPU rig in the bitcoin section.
1617  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How to setup Tight VNC Server on: June 13, 2017, 04:24:23 PM
All you need to do is forward the VNC ports (5800 and 5900 IIRC) on your router to the internal address where the VNC server is located.

1618  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Win 10 weirdness - MS defender NOW deciding Claymore 9.3 is a virus on: June 13, 2017, 03:35:12 PM
I had a similar thing happen with my ZEC miner. One day the exe was just randomly removed by windows defender and I had to remove it from quarantine and set it as an exception.
1619  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How many of you use dual PSU? on: June 12, 2017, 09:32:23 PM

What will be power sequence for this rig - since the server psu will be always on.

Can I use a Y-power cord rated 13A to power the EVGA and server psu simultaneously?

I leave the server PSU on always and just power up the PC like it was a normal computer so im not sure what you are asking.

13 amps @ 110v should be safe up to 1400 watts. Not sure what your setup is but if you know its total wattage you should be good.
1620  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How many of you use dual PSU? on: June 12, 2017, 09:20:36 PM
I run all my risers and motherboards off of an ATX power supply and all of the video card 6/8 pins off of a repurposed server PSU. Its worked on countless machines without issue.
