1902  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Cricket World Cup - Discussion & Analysis on: March 03, 2019, 08:32:13 PM
Its very touchy subject but I am in the minority in this situation so here is my honest opinion with no sugar coating.

Cricket is not just a game In India and Pakistan when playing against each other. Since 1978 cricket always used as a political tool due to its popularity. If by any chance cricket becomes irrelevant in both countries then no one will talk about this. Similar to other sports. Any knowledgeable Pakistani can back me up in this case. 1978 test series, when India lost to Pakistan because of famous biased umpiring. In the end captain, Mushtaq Mohammad said and I quote " the victory of Muslims all over the world over the Hindus."

It's true that it works as a bridge between ordinary people, but We are already close enough we don't need cricket as a reminder. And forget about any bilateral series for next decade or so.

India has already done some crazy stuff and I don't want to see more. I am a fan of Indian cricket team. If India abandon the match, probably I will never watch Indian cricket match anymore. Politics should be stay out of sports. In fact.

What crazy stuff? You are entirely entitled to your opinion but plz clarify.

Similarly, Indians are entitled to theirs. No one celebrates Eid, Diwali, x-mas in India when someone dies in their home and cricket is considered as a Religion in India. So, Sorry if some Indians are calling for a total boycott of the match against Pakistan.

I am one of them but angrier, according to me only boycotting match against Pak is not enough. It should be a complete boycott of the tournament, not just one game. Otherwise, its just hypocrisy of BCCI and current leadership of BCCI doesn't have the spine to ask for complete Ban on Pakistan. (if you think it's not possible and ridiculous demand, then please check the history of South African cricket)

I consider myself a cricket lover who was trying to get tickets for the last 2 months and was willing to spend 1000 euro for India-Pakistan clash live in the cricket field for World cup. But now I am not.

But why are you only boycotting watching Indian match, let's start lobbying together so that we can kick India out of ICC? Oh, wait no one can because the Cricketing world can't afford to lose India, right? Due to ICC majority of cricketing nation dependence on India's revenue.

I've "a lot" of disagreements with a few of your points (though I do agree with the rest of your points) but I think having further discussion on this topic will only derail this thread and we'll go totally off-topic. Let's continue posting updates regarding that matter, but let's not discuss it further.

I do condemn that statement of Mushtaq Mohammad though; that's totally non-sense.

I understand the pain however that's the beauty of life. We don't know the future.

By the way, I embrace every spending I made with bitcoins. I feel like I contributed it to become today's bitcoins.

True. Forget everything and just focus on BUIDLING, that's what we've got to do! Wink

Does CoinBase auto-delete the accounts if they're inactive for years (like for 7 years)?

Look at that $$ amount LOL

India and pakistan match is in red flag due to recent terrrorist attacks. and india can boycott the match against pakistan in world cup. if it really happens that means pakistan will get extra points.
What do you guys think about India stance on this and if India boycott this match then can pakistan is in World cup winning race?

I did not want see that I always enjoyed India vs Pakistan matches. Cricket should not have political interfere.

I agree; the match between India and Pakistan should not be abandoned by India. Cricket is a sport - it has nothing to do with the political situation across the nations.

Sachin Tendulkar would like India to play against Pakistan as well:

Seriously jealous of this BNB/BTC graph:

Market makers stocking up on BNB - planning on increased volume - bullish.

You mean... more flippenings ahead? I'm never going to buy it at this stage though; I'm not habitual of buying anything that has seen so many consecutive green candles. Moreover, BNB is powered by the promises of CZ, and the recent DEX testnet of Binance introduced by CZ looks like a total failure to me.

I received an email apparentrly from Bittrex saying they are selecting accounts for desktop aplications beta testing . Can It be true or is it nothing more than phising mail ?
I am nnot able to find information about this desktop application under development.

I've not received any such e-mail from Bittrex, and there's no information/update available (on any of the official social media channels of Bittrex) regarding any sort of desktop application (of Bittrex). I'd recommend you to ignore that e-mail!

Any one have information about bitcoin related debit card which is working in Pakistan I need this very urgently as have some payment stuck which I can withdraw through only card.

I know of no such card. What sort of situation is this that you find yourself in? If you have bitcoin you can send it anywhere. You can sell on localbitcoins and receive money via bank, easypaisa, jazz cash etc. If you don't have bitcoin then try payoneer. It's a solution people use to get money from freelancing sites.

Bitcoin to Skrill and Skrill to Jazz Cash works fine as well (I know someone personally who does this all the time). However, JazzCash does have some low limits, and you'll also have to verify your Skrill account.

I heard this method of converting from bitcoin to local PKR first time.

Bitcoin ---> Skrill --> Jazz Cash

Can you tell me know the fee involved from Skrill to Jazz cash conversion ?

It's not very much, only about 2%.

Is this cheaper than localbitcoins or is he doing it because he's not aware of localbitcoins?

No, he's doing it because he doesn't want the involvement of any other trader in the conversion of BTC.

If they open again with a fair way to solve the loss, sure I will be back there too.
Because thats a proof that they are legit.
Sure their way of communication with their users was terrible.
Let us wait without notice weeeks...
That was unprofessional.
Their exchange-website was not, dont understand how anyone could say its a unprofessional site.
In the altcoinworld it was/is one of the big players.

I've been saying that for years:

I've been trading with Cryptopia for years, and I must admit now that they're not scammers. They've a lot of bugs/errors and sometimes their "processing" can take more than a month, but still, they're honest. I've not seen a single person losing any of his funds due to their bugs/issues/server-overloads; it can sometimes get very frustrating for you, but at the end, Cryptopia's crappy support does succeed in solving whatever issue you have.
Cryptopia team has no intention of scamming, that's for sure. Their main problem is lack of team members, you'll see your support tickets stuck with them for tens of days. Same goes with withdrawals & deposits. They just get stuck but actually get processed at the end.

Once Cryptopia re-opens, I've plans of buying some more of HUSH/XDNA/PIRL/XBY and a few other gems! Smiley
1916  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Cardano (ADA): A New Cryptocurrency and More on: February 28, 2019, 08:25:51 PM
Can you please tell me more about ADA?

This webpage (of Cardano's official website) should give you some nice (and concise) explanation of what ADA (Cardano) is all about:

https://www.cardano.org/en/what-is-cardano/

Hello friends,
I would like to steal my cardano, preferably without a pool but just on my private pc, is that possible?

and how about the staking pools? Do I have to send them or stay in my possession on my wallet?
thx Smiley

If I understand you correctly, you're looking to stake your ADA (Cardano), right?

As of now, you can't stake ADA. The staking (Shelley) will be active from March/April, only then you'll be able to stake your ADA. You'll definitely be able to use the staking pools for staking, and you won't have to send your ADA anywhere for that; your coins will stay with you!

ok thank you for the detailed explanation that helped a lot Smiley
that should hurry up I want to finally staken Wink

XRP is launching at http://Coinbase.com  and in the iOS and Android apps within the next 15 minutes. You may need to update your app to properly buy, sell or convert XRP. We will update when XRP is fully live.

Let's not discuss XRP/Ripple here - it's just a "distraction"!

~snip~

Quetta Gladiators are losing there momentum here which is not good for them. They should focus more in the dept matches of the tournament.
For the current match, the Lahore Qalandars are not doing well and are at 97-4 in 15.3  overs. If Karachi bats well, then Qalandars will have to face another loss.
So they were able to score 133 runs altogether. Not a good score to defend however it will be interesting to see how Karachi Kings plan? Sometimes low scoring matches turns out to be the best entertaining match.

My good wishes for Lahore Qalandars.

Karachi Kings is probably going to win this one. They require just 52 runs off 48 balls right now and have 7 wickets remaining.

This is one of the very few low-scoring matches of this tournament - most of the matches of PSL have managed to cross 150+ runs in the first inning. T20s are meant to be high-scoring, IMO.

Someone around following that England vs. West Indies ODI match? It's starting to get very interesting. Even though there is a huge target (of 419 runs) to chase for West Indies, they're not giving up. Till now, they've managed to make 331 runs in 41 overs with the loss of 6 wickets (special thanks to yet another awesome inning by Chris Gayle, 162 runs on just 97 balls).

Carlos Braithwaite is still playing, and if he's able to stay for another half an hour, he can definitely win it for West Indies.
