DEX asking for KYC? Roll Eyes

Actually the problem, the way I see it, it raises the operational cost for the exchange as well as traders down the line. It places user information in a position to be compromised by hackers increasing identity theft just because these legislations are not standardized and designed for your safety. Half backed laws with only one goal in mind (Surveillance) at any cost. Certainly does not stop money laundering, or terrorism, but are sold under presumption it's for your best interest and safety, from whom exactly? The same people making these laws, interesting to say the least. Yes, I have no issues with regulation or laws for the crypto space, but introduce a damn law or regulation that actually does what it's intended to do. KYC/AMIL are ill-conceived at this point and thus far it only protects you in the same manner as the mafia protect you. Obeid by our laws or we shut you down, or arrest you, even though you didn't do anything wrong. KYC/AML need to be revised by people that actually give a damn about the people they govern and not just their own agendas. Need to be revised by people that actually have a foundation to understand what crypto is in the first place. Well, that's my 2 cents worth.

Well said, merited!

So, what will happen if they use fake IP address that has not been in USA?  Roll Eyes

That'll work! As mentioned by Jimmy McShill in his Medium article (Bypassing CryptoBridge KYC):

Quote
Using VPN to bypass CryptoBridge’s KYC

The following steps describe in short how you easily bypass even an already accepted KYC:

Use a virtual private network (VPN) service which is not located in the USA. This way CryptoBridge can not make any conclusions about your actual position and can not refuse the service.

Create a new BitShares account with the VPN connection and accept the terms of service with answering the “Are you a U.S. citizen?” question with “No”.
Use the “Send” feature of the UI to send your funds from the old account with active KYC-demand to the new “Non-US” account on the BitShares blockchain. Because this is done on the BitShares blockchain it’s nearly free.

Use CryptoBridge with your new account via VPN and without KYC.

Using Gateways without KYC

If you don’t want to use a VPN you can simply use another gateway provider which does not demand you to do KYC before depositing or withdrawing assets!
For example:

Use the OpenLedger gateway to deposit BTC. You then get credited OPEN.BTC.
Exchange the OPEN.BTC to BRIDGE.BTC and go on trading on CryptoBridge with BRIDGE.XXX pairs.
If you want to withdraw the BTC again, exchange the BRIDGE.BTC to OPEN.BTC and withdraw them via the OpenLedger gateway.

It will allow me to focus on Hush and also pay for listing fees, server fees, domain fees and all the other things that we pay for out of pocket now. It makes Hush sustainable, instead of fighting to survive.

Good evening WO brothers. How are we doing?

Ehm... not very good:

Crypto Exchange Bithumb to Reduce Staff By Up to 50%

Currently suffering from 103 degrees fever, pray for me guys!

Hope you get well soon brother. Having fever is good in a way. It's the resistance system to kill the unexpected bacteria or virus that is trying to attack us.

Wow, good to know that! I wasn't aware of that fact.

Never heard of this Bithumb exchange before. Who cares if they cut down the staff even 100% LOL

Well, Bithumb is probably the number one crypto exchange of South Korea. I remember that South Koreans were buying bitcoin at the premium rate of $25,000 each during December 2017, from Bithumb. Tongue

How much did scammer Dean Nolan from betking pay to get his now defunct and dead BKB tokens listed on HitBTC?

Does anybody about the listing fee?

HitBTC has been charging a flat 60 BTC (confirmed from a couple of sources) + some sort of maintenance/integration fee since December 2017.

They actually don't look at what they're listing; the only thing they care about is the listing fee.

We are not in 2017 anymore, Dorothy.   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes
But the point is, it doesn't change.

You are not really making any kind of meaningful point, which makes you seem like a troll/shill, even attempting to give you some benefit of the doubt.

I bet that he hasn't even read that image (completely) carefully. Poor guy probably thought that it's some sort of bullish (though it's not bullish, it's only bullshi*) statement and Wall Observers will probably merit it.

Make good use of your senses before you post again, @katrinmi! Wink

Watson is gone, run out. It hurts the most a batsman, a supporter. After 4 overs, score is now 30 for 1. That's sad. I thought Watson will make it today. Bad luck.

I'd not blame Shane Watson for that; Ahmed Shahzad shouldn't have dared to take that run. It was totally unnecessary.

Oh WOW! What betting platform is that? Looks neat!

It's sportsbet.

I've heard a lot about it but witnessing its interface for the first time. Looks good!

We'll get to see the finals of the tournament after 3 hours. I think that Gladiators are highly dependant on Shane Watson, Umar Akmal, and Ahmed Shahzad, while the Zalmis are counting on Kamran Akmal, Imam-ul-Haq, and Hassan Ali. I seriously hope that Sarfaraz wins this one, as:

The real issue with Quetta Gladiators is the loss of momentum at the time when the tournament is about to finish. They've been in the finals for a couple of times, but they face real difficulty in semi-finals and finals. Quetta Gladiators might win all of these (ten) matches, but if they're unable to win the finals, these wins will actually be totally useless. I personally would like to see Sarfaraz winning this league as it'll prove that he is the best option available (for captaincy) for the ICC World Cup 2019.

I remember you said this earlier and I did not have much idea about PSL. You helped me a lot to get to know with this team. Then I started following their matches. I noticed some extra ordinary performance from Gladiators which triggered me to become their fan.

I really really wish they win.

Gladiators won the toss and chose to field first; so far so good.

I'd love to see Sarfaraz winning this one too! He deserves it.

Everytime i see the drop from 6k my stomach hurts.
When i thought 6k was safe ground, that dump was a really pain in the ... wallet.

I agree. After that very powerful 6th February 2018 jump off $6000, I didn't expect to see bitcoin below $6000 ever again as well.

Oh well, sooner or later, we're going to an at least $100,000.

Cryptopia - my favorite exchange:

Despite our own issues, as a Christchurch company, our thoughts are with everyone affected by the recent shootings.

I'll surely be using them again once they get back; they're handling the whole situation in a very good manner!
1858  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 15, 2019, 05:29:11 PM

Bullish. From one of the pre-listing articles:

with futures you don't have to own any BitCoin to actually sell them. You can sell as many as you want and you can empty the order book down to ZERO. Becasue the lower you get the less BitCoin costs.
Using futures it will be possible for external investors to empty the order book and dump BitCoin to zero in value by leveraging their investments.

Why would anyone do this?!

The question would rather be why not?! Currently banks and institutions not involved with BitCoin are loosing money since private investors are going over to the crypto world and seeing great returns. But if they start to crash the market that money is going to start to flood back into the *safe investments *again and they will be making more money.

No christian women. Which is what matters.

What kind of retarded answer is that?

Any way. I am tired of you. Back to the ignore list.
Nope. Justify your position. Why are muslims better than christians according to you?

Neither the Muslims are better than the Christians nor the Christians are better than the Muslims (but I'm sure that most of us are better than you).

My ignore list just got an addition too!

Mass shooting in New Zealand.  Multiple armed perps(??).  Attack on two mosques. Multiple fatalities recorded.

Obviously terrorism.   Will see if reported as such. Bangladesh cricket team arriving by bus as attack commenced but drove off.

https://edition.cnn.com/2019/03/14/asia/christchurch-mosque-shooting-intl/

Edit:  TVNZ reporter has seen shooter’s manifesto. Is White Supremacist madness with objective of inciting a race war and conflict over Second Amendment.

https://www.tvnz.co.nz/one-news/new-zealand/live-mass-shooting-christchurch-mosque-police-respond-active-shooter-situation?variant=tb_v_1

Shooting was live streamed.

This is obviously horrifying.  Possible that young children targeted.   I would ask that some of the more committed racists on this thread take the opportunity to reflect on our common humanity.  I would also ask that some of the bystanders to casual racism here take a stand against it.  And I don’t want to hear shitty stories about how you don’t like Muslims but wouldn’t shoot up a mosque.  If you encourage an atmosphere of racism, then you are part of the problem.

Awful day. I hope everything gets alright and we don't get to see such TERRORISM in future, in any part of the world. Even Australian mosques can currently feel the heat of the attack, as they've been put on high alert (with an exception of the ones in Queensland, everything seems absolutely calm here in Brisbane).

Bangladesh cricket team arriving by bus as attack commenced but drove off.

Sri Lankan cricket team (in a bus) was attacked by terrorists in 2009, in Lahore, Pakistan. Everyone remained safe in that attack, and the remaining matches of the cricket match series were canceled. ICC (International Cricket Council), after the attack, immediately marked Pakistan as unsafe for international cricketers and didn't allow Pakistan to host any international series within Pakistan; they told that Pakistan should make UAE its homeground, and since then, all of the Pakistani home series have been played in Dubai/Sharjah/Abu Dhabi. 10 years on and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is still trying to convince ICC (and cricket boards of Australia/New Zealand/England/etc) that Pakistan has now become safe enough to host cricket series and the teams should come and play without any issues.

Cricket is more than just a sport for the people of South Asia (India/Pakistan/Bangladesh/Sri Lanka), so this was an extremely hurting decision by the ICC for Pakistanis.

...and I'm sure that ICC won't be stopping New Zealand from hosting matches even for a year, just because of the white p... well... nothing. Roll Eyes
