Wow, that's a very nice counter-argument!  I, of course, remember that. However, "last time you tried this" seems offensive. I didn't try anything. I only expressed my opinion on BNB value because I didn't expect it to rise further. CZ has been doing a fine job ever since he created Binance, and the value of BNB is proof of all his accomplishments and achievements, no one can deny that. |

I wonder why this exchange is still popular here and to newbies but if you look how this exchange is ranked, its currently at number 60 out of 100 based on the reported volume. I admit I am still using this platform but with all the complaints coming from different directions, I am having second thoughts on continuing on using this trading platform.  There's a huge difference in real trade volume and fake (wash) trade volume. Bittrex might be at the rank no.60 according to CoinMarketCap's reported (trading) volume, however, if you really take a good look at the exchanges above Bittrex, you'll notice that most of them are known for wash trading. For example: LBank, DigiFinex, BitForex, BW.com, Coineal, and CoinBene, all of these are in the "TOP 10", which is hilarious IMO. I can confidently remark Bittrex's volume as real, and one of the top 20 (legitimate) exchanges that are not involved in wash-trading. Even Binance is currently at the rank no. 7 (according to CMC rank), and CZ explained this situation (yesterday) in a nice manner:  |

Moving a bit too fast for my liking. I think we’ll have a correction to mid 4K’s. I’m fine with that, I’m enjoying accumulating.
I want that correction! Buy order ready at $4600:  Increased the buy price, slowly FOMO'ing (literally can't help it  ):  EDIT: Seems like I'm not the only one: I fomo bought $200 worth of bitcoins today from the $5000 price tag. After all those years, I still fall for this old trick.
I bought some from $15k too after all. $5k looked very cheap compared to that.
Added another hundred dollars and increased the buy price to $4808.  Getting annoying, should I just FOMO market buy already?  (Bitcoin has failed to bull-break quite a lot of times in the last 4 days, not looking good short-term; however, the bulls have actively defended the support levels, so I guess they're not all that exhausted!) |

Holy crap LTC/BTC is +%20. Dumping my fckin LTC too. This is a life time opportunity to get more BTC from alts probably. Dumped my RVN from 1600sats and now its barely above 1000sats. Feels good man. Now its monero's turn.  I want a mega pump there too. Not sure if I should sell my LTC before the halving. I need to think more about it. I honestly think that there's absolutely no reason to keep LTC in your portfolio. Even some of the 500+ rank coins (by marketcap) have way more Github activity than Litecoin. It might be old, might be very much decentralized, but IMO, if there're no further developments, then it deserves to die. ...just like Namecoin! Oh wait, Namecoin is up over 20% today... DARN IT!

A suggestion: Don’t use round numbers for your limit orders. Put it $20 or $30 above because if the price is going to bounce, it will bounce above $xx00. If the prices touches $xx00 then it’s going to drop below that amount. Nice idea! |

Yes. The odds of the truth of that assertion are in the less than 25% arena. So far so good:  Maybe the odds of going below $3,900 again became slightly better than what they were on March 25, but they have not changed by a lot.. I would not even put them above 45% and that 45% is a bit charitable. You may end up being correct, regarding your guess, but I am not sure what that would be saying, besides you having had gotten lucky in your guess. Do you find that valuable in how you live your life? I certainly try to minimize gambling and guessing in how I live my life, but surely once in a while it is fun.. but that is it.. merely fun rather than something to attach much if any significance. What are the odds of going below $3900 (again) now, @JJG? Are you trolling me, Raja?
PartiallyI am certainly no soothsayer, but merely because something happens, like you predict does not suggest that you are anything but lucky when it happens, especially if it remains a kind of 50/50 event or even 70/30... or something like that.
True! I largely outlined my current thinking in my post two posts above this one, which describes some thinking that we are going up before we go down... so one seemingly decent scenario would be to go to the $6k arena first and then have a 30% plus correction, which would bring us to $4,340 (that is if we presume something like $6,200 x 70%), but then there could be a further spike down, or the BTC price might not make it to $6,200 before experiencing a 30% plus correction... So in such a scenario, bringing BTC prices down to $4,340 could cause additional downwards spiking, and we have seen that many times in bitcoinlandia... And even a scenario of a $5,500 local top in this particular cycle and then a 30% plus correction would bring BTC prices below $3,900.... in the $3,850 arena... which are not unreasonable price wave scenarios... We all know that anything (literally anything) can happen in bitcoinlandia - within an hour, we can either get a nice green $1k candle or a dark red $1k candle. We've seen it before and we should definitely be ready to see it again. However, the reason why I quote that wild guess, again & again after each pump, is to enjoy a new value of odds that is a little more closer to 100%, and I guess that it makes everybody around feel a bit better. Imagine looking at these posts after a few years, when the probability of going below $3900 will actually be close to zero; it'd be pure pleasure. Some nice progress has already been made in the last few days... From: less than 25% arena
to: maybe we are getting close to the 50/50 arena..
BTW, I don't think that we're close to that 50/50 arena yet. If I were you, I'd call it 50/50 once we break above ~$5700. But then again, it's all pure speculation... This thread is all about speculation anyways.

It should be a valid words such as "cash cow money heroes cardboard bag"?
Or it may be random symbols such as "n3@7c9W8d4b%9X3a9j01"?
And what is recommended phrase length?
Secret phrase can consist of any combination of words/letters of any length. Make it as much complex as you can. Whatever you keep as the secret phrase, just don't forget to "export" your private keys after you've created your addresses. |

OTOH, some are REKT: Lyft breaks below its IPO price ($72), now down over 20% from its opening day high.
Is this the calm after the storm now? I wouldn’t mind a period of 3-4 months in this range. Low volatility is good for bitcoin. Average Joe doesn’t want to buy when the price is up & down like a yoyo.
I’d be cool with low volatility until June/July or something before the next leg up to $ 6,000 or something.
Anybody agree?
I don't think that we're going to have low volatility in the short term. I've got a feeling that bitcoin is in the mood of making alts super-rekt and getting an increase in overall market dominance, by first dumping again (to somewhat like ~$4400) and then pumping again (to somewhat like ~$5100). |
