Not sure why but I love listening to Charles. This is an hour-long talk of Charles with Emurgo, and a lot of new stuff is discussed. Wink

Guys, please let's not discuss PSL here (it'll be off-topic). Don't forget, we've got a separate thread to discuss that league:

Eliminator 1

Karachi Kings vs Islamabad United and KKs are looking in good shape. Run rate is 11.37 after 8 overs. They won the toss and elected to bat first in this betting pitch.

Who is you pick? I go for Islamabad United although they need some wickets to come back to this match.

Kings lost - once again the same three teams in the second qualifiers and finals. The names "Karachi" and "Lahore" attract the crowd, not having any of these two teams at this stage of PSL yet again is actually a failure of PSL.

I hope Quetta wins this PSL - they usually reach the finals of the tournament but then lose in the very end.

Okay, let's start banter now Cheesy

Heh, I totally expected that!

1.   Is it because he's born in Pakistan? and choose to play for Australia instead of Pakistan. shame because Pakistan can use some quality batsman.

2.   Is it because he is Muslim? ( like Rashid Latif's religious rant during Champions trophy? )

3.   Maybe Pakistani just admiring a cricketer who played brilliantly against India. but I doubt that that's a case lol

1. No one likes to leave Australia. I'm in Brisbane, and I see a lot of Indians and Pakistanis falling in love with all of Australia. Honestly, none of them prefer to go back home (especially the students) if they get a chance to live here. Comparing Australia (and the very humble Aussies) with India/Pakistan is like comparing bitcoin with fiat.

2. No, please! No one should make such comments - only mentally ill or very illiterate people make such comments to gain some (social) media coverage.

3. That's the case! At least partially. Grin

That's another thing that if he had stayed in Pakistan, he wouldn't be able to survive due to politics in Pakistan cricket. guess that's a reason he opted out for

Maybe. Australia has a really nice cricket academy structure for youngsters.

The way all Pakistani cricket lover thumbing their chest in social media for Usman Khawaja is a good case of study Cheesy but I am just wondering why?

Actually, it's extremely funny if you ask me. Imagine winning so easily with a good streak and suddenly, after a little cap change, everything gets flipped over and your winning streak turns into a losing streak. Grin

@Raja

Okay, so the pool is very big for Pakistani players atm (25 players) Any new name pop-up in limelight due to PSL? In your defaulter list, I am familiar with Haris Sohail only.

Here in India, we are juggling with 18 players or so. and I doubt that IPL gonna change anything here drastically.

I'm amazed that you're not familiar with Usman Khan Shinwari; he has been playing (and ruining stuff) for the last 1-2 years on an international level!

Mickey Arthur seems to have brought down the number of players to 19, according to:

'We have 19 players for 15 positions' – Mickey Arthur on World Cup squad

https://www.icc-cricket.com/news/1052162

But Mickey hasn't made the short-list public yet.

I don't see any new star in this year's PSL, except for Umer Khan of Karachi Kings. I personally think that he should be given a chance in upcoming series against Aussies!

I'm going to add a few new sections to the comparison, like the following:

-Discord support availability
-Telegram support availability
-2FA (Microsoft/Google/SMS) availability

If any of you have any suggestion(s) regarding these modifications, please lemme know. I'd like to know what I should add and what I shouldn't.

@Raja bhai What's your home team squad? everyone only talking about the Indian team here  Shocked

So far, according to media reports, the uncut team includes:

Quote
1. Sarfaraz Ahmed 2. Shan Masood 3. Fakhar Zaman 4. Imam Ul Haq 5. Abid Ali 6. Babar Azam 7. Shoaib Malik 8. Muhammad Rizwan 9. Muhammad Hafeez 10. Muhammad Amir 11. Muhammad Abbas 12. Asif Ali 13. Shadab Khan 14. Hasan Ali 15. Junaid Khan 16. Shaheen Shah Afridi 17. Usman Khan Shinwari 18. Yasir Shah 19. Hussain Talat 20. Faheem Ashraf 21. Mir Hamza 22. Imad Wasim 23. Waqas Maqsood 24. Haris Sohail 25. Rumman Raees

I really hope that they do NOT take the following players to the World Cup:

1. Shan Masood
2. Abid Ali
3. Asif Ali
4. Usman Khan Shinwari (I consider him as one of the worst bowlers in the world)
5. Hussain Talat
6. Faheem Ashraf
7. Mir Hamza
8. Waqas Maqsood
9. Haris Sohail

~snip~
I hope what you are saying is right and India management is experimenting. If this is true then they already should know who are doing what. IPL is coming in 9 days and from there they may also find some player that can give them a thought to add in the squad although I doubt there will be any new extra ordinary face.

Current BCCI official and selection committee is one of the weakest and Clueless in comparison to the previous officials.

They are still in confusion, recently Indian Team Chief Selector M.S.K Prasad gave interview and said that they will look into IPL performance too.

And Virat Kohli said in one press conference that No we will not consider IPL performance.

I agree that there will be no new face in World cup squad unless some batsman end up with extraordinary performance in IPL.

In my point of view, Indian selectors will look out for existing back-up players {present (IPL)performance-form too}, to name a few Rishab Pant, Dinesh Kartik, Raydu, Vijay Shankar or in some extent KL Rahul.

I think now they lost faith on Pant after watching his performance from this series,I really upset with his performance today because he simply threw his wicket to slip. But I think he will be much effective if he came at 6 to bat.DK can be the best one for his place now because he has experience and good skills on wicket keeping than pant.

OZ would be feeling great after winning the series in India as for the world cup they will have Warner and Smith back in their side which will boost their confidence again. So OZ are all set for the world cup and India would be little disappointed of not winning inspite of playing well and restricting OZ to 272.

An awesome display of performance by Usman Khawaja yet again against India in New Delhi today, he deserved to get the man-of-the-match as well as the man-of-the-series award; he literally changed the direction of the series. India probably learned the lesson that unnecessary change of caps in-between the series is not a very good idea. Lips sealed

Australian team doesn't seem very bad anymore (beating India "in" India is definitely a big deal). The upcoming series between Australia and Pakistan will surely be very interesting to watch!

1871  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cryptopia Introducing A New Option – Cancel Orders on: March 12, 2019, 09:11:44 PM
I'm not sure this should be branded as a new option, as in general they should've cancel out any open orders. Well at least they're doing something, even though I doubt this is enough to repent the loss.

I agree. Moreover, the option of "canceling all active orders in one go" has been available for years at Cryptopia, it's not something new.
1872  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cryptopia has been in "maintenance" for the last 14 hours! on: March 12, 2019, 09:04:51 PM
A few updates posted on Cryptopia's official Twitter within the last few days:

Update: We are well aware of market volatility in Crypto, our next phase will be introducing cancel-only mode for users to cancel any positions accordingly before the trade engine is turned back on for trading. We aim to have this on the site in the next few days.

As we work towards full re-launch of the platform, we have now enabled the ability for users to cancel their standing orders. The API is still disabled, so you will need to cancel through the website.

If you want to cancel all orders in one go, this can be done from the account page under the Open Trades section: https://cryptopia.co.nz/Trades

Bermuda Triangle: what happened to Flight 19? - BBC

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FfsQBeXWktU

BBC shouldn't have made this one with suspense-filled background music, LOL.

What do you guys think of this theory?

The most recent scientific theory on the infamous Triangle suggests that the freakish disappearance of ships and aircraft could be the result of large deposits of methane gas spewing up from the ocean floor. Huge eruptions of methane bubbles may push water away from a ship, causing it to sink. If the highly flammable methane then rises into the air, it could ignite in an airplane's engine -- causing it to explode and disappear.
1876  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: March 10, 2019, 03:54:28 PM
India put a heavy total of 358 runs against Australia. Now Australia is chasing 214 for 3.Surely an interesting match is going on.Khawaja out for 91 and now Handscomb is batting with maxwell.Handscomb playing really well as he is on 99.Australia required run rate is 9+ which is an advantage for India.
A big partnership was what Australia needed and Handscomb and Khawaja have clearly delivered on that front in a brilliant manner even though Khawaja just got dismissed.

Handscomb and Maxwell are most probably the final hope of Australia at this point.
I thought the same but Maxwell got out , I thought that's the end but seems like not yet . Turner is looking good and Handscomb is playing brilliant cricket right now so we can't yet say that the match is over , I guess Aussies still have the chance.

It looks like Turner is trying to turn the tables! Australian team now requires just 38 runs off 27 balls - this series will get very interesting if Aussies wins this one!

do your two relatives believe in flat earth too? Roll Eyes

Not sure; they literally once (about 5 years back) traveled all the way from Moscow to Karachi by car just because of the "air fear". I've repeatedly told them that flying is much safer than driving, but they're just way too afraid of air crashes.

I've never traveled anywhere near this part of the world and actually found about Bermuda Triangle a couple of days back when these relatives told me about it. From what I could see at Google Search results, there's still no "very-convincing theory of why things have disappeared from the triangle". Roll Eyes
