10041  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Is this site secure to invest on: August 20, 2016, 01:31:56 PM
At least they are honest about being a scam:

Found this little gem in their FAQ
Quote
-When will I get my deposit back?
Never.
Shocked Shocked Shocked

Stay away from this and all other HYIP stuff promising ridiculous returns of X%+ per day... they're all Ponzi scams and will take your BTC and run at some point...
10042  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: PayPal Pending 30 days on: August 20, 2016, 01:20:40 PM
It'll be more a case of the sender of the funds being under suspicion than the receiver. If Paypal suspect that the funds were sent from a stolen card or a hacked account or something, if they make them pending, you can't then use them to buy goods/services etc. so if it turns out they were from a fraudulent source, they only need to reverse one transaction... which unfortunately, is the one into your account. It keeps things nice and simple.

Imagine if person A received $1000 from a stolen credit card payment... then they bough 5 things from 5 different people... and they then spent the money on 2 things each... and one of those people spent the money on something... it would be a total mess to try and "fix" if Paypal discovered that this $1000 was stolen and got charged back.

So they leave it "pending" for 30 days, to see if any complaints are made before releasing the funds... the simple solution is only deal with trustworthy people who aren't running scams or stealing money etc Tongue
10043  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Micropayment / Donation collector service? on: August 20, 2016, 01:10:31 PM
So just to clarify, you want a way to be able to receive payments from ALL types of payment services like Paypal, credit card, Bank transfer AND Bitcoin... and you want to be able to collect all of these funds into one account... and you want all of these to happen automagically?

About the only thing I could think of would be an exchange type service that lets you deposit funds via Paypal or Credit card or whatever... however, storing money on exchanges is fraught with danger (see: Mt Gox, Cryptsy, Bitfinex etc)... also, I'm not sure that Paypal is a valid option, as I often see people complaining that Paypal like to freeze accounts that are linked to BTC.

Also, micropayments may be problematic... most providers that operate with fiat (ie. everything but Bitcoin) have transaction fees that will easily gobble up micropayments...  Undecided
10044  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Need bustabit advice on: August 20, 2016, 01:02:38 PM
I've started playing bustabit since past week and lost around $45. Is there any script that works? or it is just a game of luck?
Any gambling that is based on an element of chance, and especially ones where you have to contend with "house edge" will never be scriptable. Maths just does not work that way.

The best system you can use, is one that will enable you to minimise your losses, especially if you intend on playing over a longer term... because the longer you play, the more the maths and probabilities work against you and your bankroll Wink
10045  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Anyone else use Bitwage to get their wages in Bitcoin? on: August 20, 2016, 12:55:10 PM
Seems like a very interesting concept that would have been really useful to me about a year ago when i was working overseas and struggling with ridiculous bank charges to shift my money back to my home country.

Local Bank: USD$10-20 to send... middleman Bank: USD$20-25 because #weCanTakeYourMoney... Home Bank: USD$10-15 to receive and shitty exchange rates Sad

In the end I found a decent little online money transfer outfit that happened to be headquartered in my home country that had tiny fees and good exchange rates. Your service looks like it could have saved me around USd$20-30/month easily...
10046  Economy / Gambling / Re: Any nice weekend gambling bonus on: August 20, 2016, 12:45:43 PM
It is crypto-games.net's 2nd Birthday this weekend. They are intending on having a "no house edge" promotion on dice running at some point... plus I think they may be doing other giveaways and stuff for chat and/or playing the various games.

Maybe go check it out and see if anything there is what you're looking for?
10047  Economy / Services / Re: Find me a new name for everything and get 0.00337096 BTC (2.20$ish) on: August 20, 2016, 12:33:32 PM
Im pretty sure OP just went scam. Tried to sell of account without paying out. Yet another thing that should be listed in his already negative trust page.
I think I would have to agree with you on this. Reading through the neg trust, and the thread where he was trying to sell his account, he claimed that he had already started a new account... so I guess he settled on a new name already and has either not used any of the suggestions here, or he has and has decided not to give out the money he said he would...  Undecided
10048  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: August 18, 2016, 11:02:22 AM
Feeling confident after my latest lot of Champions League picks... so I'll take a stab at the EPL:

  • ManU v. Southampton
  • Stoke v. ManCity
  • Burnley v. Liverpool
  • Swansea v. Hull
  • Tottenham Hotspur v. Crystal Palace
  • WBA v. Everton - Draw No Bet
  • Watford v. Chelsea
  • Leicester v. Arsenal - Draw No Bet
  • Sunderland - Draw No Bet v. Middlesborough
  • West Ham v. Bournemouth

Couple of "even" match ups this week... Everton should win, but they sometimes struggle on the road... Despite their first up loss, Arsenal are still a quality team, and should beat Leicester, but Leicester will be looking to get their season back on track after their first round loss as well, I think DNB is a good option here. Sunderland and Middlesborough is also fairly easy, I'd take Sunderland DNB just because #homeGroundAdvantage.

I'm hoping for around 7 or 8 out of 10 this week... fingers crossed Wink

10050  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: August 18, 2016, 10:40:22 AM
Time for HCP's wild and crazy picks  Grin

  • Celtic v. H. Be'er Sheva - WIN!
  • Ludogorets v Viktoria Plzen (Would seriously consider DNB option here)  - WIN!
  • Villarreal v Monaco - loss
  • Porto v Roma (Again, DNB would be a smart move here) - Push
  • Dundalk v Legia Warsaw - WIN!

Ok... so I did quite well this time around... just the one loss, a push and 3 wins... I'm getting better and being a bit smarter with my picks... that DNB on Porto v Roma saved me from a really poor result... Will be interesting to see how the reverse games go next week.

10051  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: August 17, 2016, 10:33:07 AM
Oooo Champions League action... After last round you'd think I would have learned my lesson Wink

Time for HCP's wild and crazy picks  Grin

    • Celtic v. H. Be'er Sheva
    • Ludogorets v Viktoria Plzen (Would seriously consider DNB option here)
    • Villarreal v Monaco
    • Porto v Roma (Again, DNB would be a smart move here)
    • Dundalk v Legia Warsaw

Actually, DNBs could be a decent option for all the games if you can get "good" odds for it... a lot of these match ups look relatively even... And you might find the Away teams will be happy with a 1-1 draw to try and take an "Away Goals" advantage into Game 2. Good Luck guys!

    10052  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ★ FREE AND PREMIUM TIPS ALL SPORTS ★ SUMMARY 825W-261L ★ on: August 17, 2016, 10:17:15 AM
Looks like you're still doing exceptionally well and maintaining a great record... just a bummer that I'm slightly out of sync timewise and don't seem to get enough time between seeing your tips and being able to place bets :-/

Oh well... I'll keep trying and hopefully get my timings sorted out Wink Thanks for the solid tips mate.
10053  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: August 15, 2016, 11:57:24 AM
    • Bournemouth v Man Utd - Man Utd WIN!
    • Arsenal v Liverpool - This is a tricky one, maybe both teams to score? WIN!
Yeah, I'm slowly getting into the groove now that the EPL has started... BTTS for Arsenal/Liverpool would have worked, but I actually took Liverpool on a Double Chance Away/Draw @1.84... I should have take Liverpool ML @ 3.04!! Tongue Nevermind, a win is still a win! #YNWA

Now, we just have one game remaining: Chelsea v West Ham - Chelsea ML

I still think Chelsea should win this one fairly comfortably, they'll be looking for a good show, at home, to get their challenge for the title underway... West Ham are a solid team, but Chelsea at home should be too strong. The ML odds aren't great at the moment (around 1.5)... but I think overs/unders is a bit difficult on this one and I'm not super confident West Ham will even score... so Chelsea ML is my pick (and I got it locked in at 1.88 Wink)
10054  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitPistol - Are you smart enough to solve this puzzle? >>> TEST your brains <<< on: August 15, 2016, 11:24:59 AM
Seems to me like you'd want to go first... because at most, you get 3 attempts... and by going first there is always a chance you don't die on each one of your attempts, whereas by starting 2nd, you end up at 100% chance of death on your 3rd try... plus your odds are technically better for each one of your attempts if you are 1st...

    1st attempt: Player A 1/6 die, Player B 2/6 die
    2nd attempt: Player A 3/6 die, Player B 4/6 die
    3rd attempt: Player A 5/6 die, Player B 6/6 die

Although, I'm not exactly sure that is a mathematically sound explanation... perhaps it is more of a "gut instinct" answer?? Huh
10055  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: August 14, 2016, 09:06:29 AM
He mostly just stands up front and doesn't move much but can score a brilliant goal at anytime.  I would predict a tight game, mouriniho has always played it tight.  Going for 1-0 united.
By tight do you mean "Parking the bus"?? Tongue

Although, in this case, I suspect Bournemouth are most likely to be playing deep and trying to attack on the counter... They won't want to lose their first home game and will play it very tight and try to catch ManU on the break... It probably won't work and I would expect ManU to end up with most possession and most goals.

I'm a dark/black theme of person as well Grin I won't be using it anyway as the feedback isn't that great. I suppose I should just stick with Mycelium for the moment and see how things goes from there.
Mycelium seems to be the #1 choice for Android at the moment... I even tried the Electrum Android app, but it has a few wierd little quirks and glitches that lead me to believe that it wasn't really designed for Android, but was simply ported and an a UI stuck on top. There are weird graphical glitches when selecting dropdown boxes etc.

I heard/read that Mycelium are supposed to be releasing a new version at some point in the (hopefully not too distant) future... So maybe we will see some improvements then. If I magically find some time and motivation, I was thinking about downloading the current Mycelium source and fixing a couple of things that bug me about it (no manual setting of fees, it doesn't lock the app and required PIN if it gets backgrounded etc.)
    10057  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: btc2x Error NaN:NaN:NaN on: August 14, 2016, 06:48:40 AM
The reason it continues, is that the sites do actually pay for a little amount of time... using the money they receive from new investors to pay the old ones (typical Ponzi style)...

So people start small and invest a small amount (like 0.01btc) and "magically" they get paid, because the scammers can cover that easily... so the investor starts thinking "wow, this is legit! ez moneyz!!?!" and then they invest a MASSIVE amount (like 1BTC)... at which point, they get scammed.

TLDR; humans are greedy and there is a sucker born every minute.

There's chopcoin.io its basically like agar.io but theres bitcoin on the line and win by being one of the top players until the timer runs out.
    Definitely go for chopcoin.io

It is really easy to learn, difficult to master... and supremely addictive Wink With the added bonus of being able to win bitcoins! The best part is that it isn't super critical that your internet connection is super fast or anything... and you don't need a high end computer to be able to play.

So are you going to post your betslips here? and how to prove that you don't hide a bet? will you show your entire history or something?

Anyway, best of luck... and I hope you provide your tips here so others can follow along your journey... or maybe offer advice if they see you taking a silly bet Wink
10060  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: August 14, 2016, 06:28:49 AM
tonight will be presented pertangdingan manchester united. if Manchester United were able to win with a big score, it will likely be in position 1. manchester united should take advantage of many other teams draw from yesterday evening.
#1 position after 1 round of games in the Premier League (and in fact, any competition) means pretty much nothing. The full season is 38 weeks long... it is the position after 38 weeks that really matters!

I'm really looking forward to the Arsenal v Liverpool match up... That could be a very good game. I would like Liverpool to win because I'm a LFC supporter... but I honestly don't know. I think Both Teams To Score (BTTS) could be a good option for this game...
