not exactly what one would call a dominant performance by Liverpool, but good to see that they can "win ugly". This game was always going to be tough after the embarrassing loss to Burnley earlier in the season.

At the end of the day, a win is a win... but if they play like that against better sides, they're not going to make it into the Champions League positions...  Undecided

It is going to be a very interesting race to the end of the season for 2nd, 3rd and 4th... can't wait! Wink
9942  Economy / Gambling / Re: Seuntjies DiceBot -Multi-Site, multi-strategy betting bot for dice. With Charts! on: March 13, 2017, 06:00:53 AM
are there any known issues with using Labouchere? I've run a couple of tests, but the bot doesnt seem to be doing the sequence correctly. For instance, using a sequence of 10-20-30-40, if you lose the first 4 rolls, the bet sequence should be:

50 10+40), 60 (10+50), 70 (10+60), 80 (10+70)... and the numbers in the sequence should now be: 10,20,30,40,50,60,70,80

if you win the next 3 rolls, the bets should be 90 (10+80), 90 (20+70), 90 (30+60) and the remaining numbers should be 40,50.

however, it seems like the bot bets 90, and if you win it then just resets the entire sequence after the first win and goes back to very initial bet 50. Huh

The upshot of this is that the sequence never completes and the bot will just bet forever (while slowly losing money Tongue)
9943  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best strategy for dice from faucet on: March 10, 2017, 01:24:05 AM
Honestly, the best strategy is to just grind something like a 100x payout win going all in with your full faucet amount... you will most likely never get anywhere if you try to start doing fancy strategies with only ~1000 satoshi's.

At such a low level, you just don't have the bankroll to support a decent martingale and cover a lengthy loss streak, so even a relatively short loss streak will wipe you out. However, if you just grind away for a 100+ "All In" rolls, chances are you will hit that 100x payout and then you'll have a decent starting point to try and build from.

The odds of getting anywhere after that are, of course, totally stacked against you with house edge etc, but hey, you never know Wink
9944  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Accusations of Paid Shills on: March 10, 2017, 12:46:57 AM
I'm sorry, but that post seems entirely too well thought out and logical. You must be a paid shill for logic and reasoning!!!? Wink

Seriously tho, "Paid Shill" is kind of becoming the new Godwin's Law... Don't like someone's point of view in a debate? call them a shill... Don't have a solid argument and are losing a debate? call the other party a shill...

As you say, it is pointless and is basically just an evasive tactic that people use when they've run out of logic and or evidence to back up their side of an argument. Sad
9945  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: March 10, 2017, 12:22:55 AM
CIty held to a draw by Stoke. An impressive defensive effort by Stoke to be honest. The rest of the round is a bit of a mess with postponements everywhere...

so we're left with:

Bournemouth v West Ham - Honestly, I've had to go with the Hammers
Everton v West Brom - Should be a win for the Home Team (Maybe Draw No Bet Everton to be safe)
Hull v Swansea - Tough call, maybe Both Teams To Score? I might not even bet on this one...  Undecided
Liverpool v Burnley - Liverpool will be looking for revenge following their embarrassing display earlier in the season... Home Team for the win here Wink
9946  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: Mycelium Bitcoin Wallet on: March 10, 2017, 12:16:48 AM
So the coins are in the same HD Account, but were just received to different addresses? Or are they in different addresses that you imported the private keys into Mycellium? Or they're in separate HD Accounts?

If they were received to different addresses there are part of the same HD account, they are already "merged" and should be spendable in a single transaction...

If it is either of the other situations (single address accounts, or different HD accounts), you would have to create a transaction that moves them all into one place...

From your description, it sounds like you have setup 2x HD Accounts and are wanting to merge the two... but I can't be 100% sure... are you able to take a screenshot that shows the Accounts tab?
9947  Economy / Gambling / Re: Seuntjies DiceBot -Multi-Site, multi-strategy betting bot for dice. With Charts! on: March 07, 2017, 11:34:47 AM
Hi Seuntjie...

Seems that there is an issue with your site and/or downloading the bot. Whenever I clicked the download button on bot.seuntjie.com I get:

"Something went wrong while fetching your file! Please reload and try again. If the problem persist, please contact seuntjie."

I've tried clearing the browser out and refreshing, but still getting the same error Sad
9948  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Compromise between SegWit and BU on: March 06, 2017, 09:33:49 AM
Sadly, it has got to the point where personal pride and stubbornness appears to be getting in the way of what is best for the network and it's users...

Neither side wants to admit "defeat" and both think they have "The Best Solution"™ to the issues currently facing the network.

In my opinion, SegWit isn't really trying to compete with BU directly... is it an attempt to fix some other issues (transaction malleability etc) and the increase in blocksize is more of a side effect than the main goal. BU seems to be solely focused on increasing the blocksize.

Meanwhile, the mempool has been well over 30K transactions for almost a week... and everyone is "suffering"... hopefully, one side or the other will prevail soon so at least we'll find out if one of the solutions works (if not, we can always just try the other I guess Tongue)
9949  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice EdgeBack/Rakeback discussion on: March 06, 2017, 09:24:12 AM
So what is the procedure if I already have an account on one or more of these sites? Is it possible to participate in the diceback system without setting up a new account?

I'd rather not have to try and transfer coins around with the current state of the mempool and confirmation times etc Tongue and I don't want to lose some of the perks of "extended" membership at some of the sites Wink
9950  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where can we bet on ETF approval in bitcoin sportsbook? on: March 06, 2017, 09:05:17 AM
The way Fairlay works is that you need someone to make a matching bet against you. You're not actually betting against fairlay like you do with a traditional sportsbook.

Quote
Do I place a prediction against Fairlay?
No - you always place predictions against other users. So every prediction must find a counterpart. If no one is willing to take the other side, you will get your stake back without any deductions.

Fairlay are really just facilitating p2p betting... you say "Hey, I think that the ETF will go through with odds of $1.50, anyone want to bet against me?"... and someone who thinks that it won't and likes the $1.50 odds can then bet against you.

So, while you're free to offer whatever odds you like, it requires someone willing to take the other side... so if you make it too ridiculous in your favour, it isn't likely to happen and you'll just wind up getting your money back. Tongue
9951  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: March 06, 2017, 08:46:26 AM
As expected, Spurs won... maybe not as comfortably as they should have... but still a win. And of course City put Sunderland away with too much bother, a tidy performance for the the clean sheet.

West Ham v Chelsea will be interesting if West Ham show up to play. I think they may prove tough at home... I don't think they're likely to win, but a draw is a definite possibility. I've got Chelsea on a Draw No Bet just in case Wink
9952  Economy / Gambling / Re: Seuntjies DiceBot -Multi-Site, multi-strategy betting bot for dice. With Charts! on: March 05, 2017, 06:30:24 AM
IMHO it doesn't matter if the "live chart" is active or not. I have bot speed UN-checked and the live chart is OFF. My internet speed is blazing fast. Doesn't matter which site I'm on either. Something is slowing the bot down to a ridiculous level of slow almost from the start of betting.
What site and what is the bet size? A lot of the sites prioritise bets by their value... so if you're betting 1 satoshi it gets processed slower than say a 1000 satoshi bet...

I'm currently not experiencing any speed issues with the latest version of the Bot... on Crypto-Games... when I'm betting low value, it chugs along at a bet a second... when the values start to increase it runs at a much faster pace... so I'd guess there is something wrong with your setup or the site you're using...

Are you in basic, advanced or programmer mode?
9953  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC low fee taking days (or more) on: March 05, 2017, 06:20:55 AM
For those worried about having to pay 200 sats/byte type fees to get their low value transactions confirmed in a reasonable amount of time... Maybe you should consider altcoins?

You can take your low value transaction to a different chain... eg. convert your BTC to DOGE and send via the DOGE network with a nice low 1 DOGE fee... that's like 20 sats... for the whole transaction! Wink

And the confirmation times are measured in minutes... not hours or days like BTC is at the moment.

I suspect that there is even a possibility that some of the more stable altcoins might get a wee boost if the transaction confirmation times vs. fee size on the BTC blockchain continue like this...  Roll Eyes

9954  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: March 05, 2017, 04:52:39 AM
Wow... some curious results so far...

- ManU drawing with Bournemouth? Damn... that's gold for the rest of the Top 5 teams...
- Palace beating WestBrom... bit of a surprise
- Swansea v Burnley, the BTTS bet was a solid pick! Wink
- Watford v. Southampton was a total goal fest! hahaha
- Leicester playing some good football at the moment, deserved 3-1 win.
- Stoke v Boro... solid 2-0 win for Stoke... wasn't expecting that
- Liverpool played beautifully for a full 90 mins and got the reward... YAY! Cheesy

3 out of 7 results for me... damn... got REKT! Hopefully the final 3 go my way and I can at least get close to a break even for the weekend Tongue
9955  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: the power of simplicity in risk taking on: March 05, 2017, 04:20:23 AM
Not sure what there is to (not) trust? He didn't even try and use a referral link to the site... so kudos to him for that. Makes the review look somewhat more honest... (there is always the chance he was paid offsite to write it)

The other links are just to some screenshots where he admits that he accidentally max bet and lost a bunch of coins (it happens. Hell, I've done it several times Tongue) And the last link was just a screenshot of one of the games from fastbets.

Overall, it looks like one guy posting a relatively positive review about a gambling website he has found and likes.

As for the site itself, I looked at it, but the games there don't appeal to me, so I shall not be using it.
9956  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Waiting of proof of rigged rolls in 999dice.com... on: March 05, 2017, 03:53:55 AM
all provably fair sites are rigged.
the entire concept of provably fair is gamed.
Right... so they've figured out how to crack SHA256/SHA512 then? If that were the case, I'm sure they wouldn't need to "steal" 0.05 BTC off someone gambling on a dice site Tongue

The provably fair system, when implemented correctly, is exactly that... provably fair.

I can see the hash for the next server seed... I can then confirm after the bet happens that the server seed for the roll matches that hash (and can't be changed unless you've found a way to crack SHA256). I can also see my own client seed (or chose my own if I want) and then do all the tricky maths... and confirm the results generated.

What everyone is forgetting is that "provably fair" does not guarantee wins... or loses... just that you can prove that the site is not cheating on the roll outcomes...

The casino works with the house edge... they don't need to cheat on the rolls Wink

9957  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will BTC overtake gold this month ? on: March 04, 2017, 03:58:20 AM
I still don't understand why the fascination in comparing BTC to Gold? It is like comparing apples to emails??!? Huh

It doesn't make any sense at all to be comparing the price of 1 BTC to 1 ounce of gold... they're two very very different things... and tomorrow they could just as easily decide that the unit of measure for gold is 1 lb... and then where would the comparison be? "oh noes... BTC is only $1200... but gold is suddenly $16,000... my BTC are worthless!" Tongue

Yay for BTC increasing in value... but meh at pointless comparison..  Roll Eyes
9958  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did I just send 0.2 BTC into the void? UpHold Concern... on: March 04, 2017, 03:40:48 AM
No, after fees my amount was about 0.185 BTC.

Which looks like one of the outputs:

Quote
1LQyzNqf485XjAPBC5Qoth2u5jBmzmhV8f (0.43571422 BTC

--->

1A5BWtGqCYDP25h44ZCv2SjLpPMgb5FUPP - 0.1895 BTC
17k6J2jMg1fzo9oouk9uRwudX5shPpKTWE - 0.24571422 BTC
5 Confirmations

You need to realise that bitcoin has to use WHOLE inputs for a transaction... so that 0.435 that got sent... wasn't what you were going to get... it was just the input used. It gets split into two chunks, the chunk you get... and the remainder which then goes back into an UpHold "change" address.

Likewise, when you go to spend some of that 0.1895... you need to use the whole 0.1895 as an input... but if you're only wanting to send 0.1... you'll get 0.0895 back.
9959  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: March 04, 2017, 03:34:49 AM
So our weekend match-ups:

Man United v Bournemouth - Easy win to ManU...

West Brom v Crystal Palace - West Brom should win here.

Swansea City v Burnley FC - Swansea have the worst defensive record in the league at the moment, I'll take a punt and say both teams to score.

Watford v Southampton - Probably a goalless draw... neither team are very strong on attack.

Leicester City v Hull City - Leicester will hopefully build on their solid win from last week against Liverpool... should be a victory for the home team here.

Stoke City v Middlesbrough - Boro absolutely need points to stay clear of the relegation zone... extra incentive for sure, but I think a draw is the most likely outcome.

Liverpool v Arsenal - One of the most important games of the season for both teams... likely to end in a draw, but hopefully Liverpool win Wink I think someone above said 1:1, which I think is a likely result. So, both teams to score.

Tottenham v Everton - I'd say Spurs, simply because they're at home.

Sunderland v Man. City - Should be a relatively easy with for City here

West Ham v Chelsea - Hammers have been a mixed bag, poor start to the season, but finishing strong. They might be able to take a point here.
9960  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: March 03, 2017, 08:30:11 AM
If Liverpool can sneak past Arsenal... and to be fair, neither team is playing very consistently at the moment... then they have a relatively easy run to the end of the season... The only other game against top flight teams is City in a couple of weeks...

If they can squeeze a couple of points from those 2 games... and actually play like they're capable of, they should make a Champions League spot. Their future is really in their own hands.
